Participants will be able to set-up numerically controlled hobbing machines and process high-quality work pieces. Correct preparation of the machine for the manufacture of work gears Preventive procedure for avoiding errors Inputting data into the Gleason-Pfauter hobbing dialogue program Analysis of processed work gears Measures to improve quality by changing the machine equipment and by means of specific program changes Optimization of technology data and time data The machine must be available for the duration of the course. Of course we care on demands or wishes of the participants. 4

None. Participants will be able to enter work-gear, tool and technology data into the Gleason-Pfauter hobbing dialogue program, set up machine programs and process work gears on their own. Machine control: structure, operating modes and functions Special equipment: automatic work piece change, centering Processing procedures, circuits, strategies Inputting data: pre-selection, work gear, tool and intersection data Machine adjustment Production: processing 1st work gear, dimensional corrections, processing subsequent work gears, circuit influences File management: Creating, changing, deleting files Practical exercises at laboratory control and machine including participant s samples Customer-specific training depends on the machine type, machine equipment, the previous knowledge and wishes of the participants. 5

Participants are familiarized with the structure and function of the mechanical and hydraulically assemblies of a hobbing machine. They will be able to recognize errors and carry out mechanical and hydraulic maintenance themselves. Knowledge from the day to day work to our training staff is incorporated into the training courses on a continual basis. This permits us to deal with the whole spectrum of your specific production problems and the equipment of the machines supplied and to offer and provide these customer-specific training courses. Organizational Instructions The course description on the following pages provide information relating to aims, content and preconditions. We recommend that you register your employees only for courses the preconditions of which they can meet. We will be happy to advise you with regard to suitability of candidates. Should it not be possible to hold a course due to unforeseeable circumstances on our part, you will be notified immediately and an alternative date will be arranged with you.
