Big Data Big data refers to things one can do at a large scale that cannot be done at a smaller one, to extract new insights or create new forms of value, in ways that change markets, organizations, the relationship between citizens and governments, and more. (Viktor Mayer-Schönberger and Kenneth Cukier, 2013)
Big Data Big data s ascendancy represents three shifts in the way we analyze information that transform how we understand and organize society. 1 st : In this new world we can analyze far more data. In some cases we can even process all of it relating to a particular phenomenon. 2 nd : Looking at vastly more data also permits us to loosen up our desire for exactitude. 3 rd : A move away from the age-old search for causality. (Viktor Mayer-Schönberger and Kenneth Cukier, 2013)
Privasi di Era Masyarakat Informasi With big data promising valuable insights to those who analyze it, all signs seem to point to a further surge in others gathering, storing, and reusing our personal data. The size and scale of data collections will increase by leaps and bounds as storage costs continue to plummet and analytic tools become ever more powerful. If the Internet age threatened privacy, does big data endanger it even more? Is that the dark side of big data? (Viktor Mayer-Schönberger and Kenneth Cukier, 2013)
Privasi di Era Masyarakat Informasi In the end, most scholars agree that to secure data-based journalism s future in the industry, journalists must become educated on the topic and begin to think about stories and ethics though a new lens. More scholarly research is required to provide this understanding, but the desire to learn and the need for data journalism cannot be denied. (Rebekah E.D. McBride, 2016)
Jurnalisme Data In particular, data journalism requires a journalist not only to gain the skills required to interview a database, but they must also be prepared to consider the ethical implications of hacking, dirty data and more. Journalists must also begin to think about harm in the news and other ethical issues in a new light. For example, journalists must become very aware of the fact that each data point represents a person s information, and therefore, datasets must be treated not as simple numbers, but as a living piece of the story that require careful consideration in terms of accuracy and ethics.(rebekah E.D. McBride, 2016)

Right to be Forgotten Guimarães Pereira et al. argue that in our hybrid online and offline world, the right to be forgotten is necessary because it responds to citizens expectations about the management of one of the most humane functions: forgetting. They examine the controversial issues arising in the media following the publication of the proposal and outline a number of ethical issues that cannot be overlooked. (Alessia Ghezzi, Ângela Guimarães Pereira and Lucia Vesnić-Alujević (eds), 2014)
Media Memory Media Memory the systematic exploration of collective pasts that are narrated by the media, through the use of the media, and about the media (Motti Neiger, Oren Meyers, and Eyal Zandberg, 2011)
Media Memory This multidimensional field of inquiry studies the economy and politics). In other words, how the media operate as memory focusing on the interface between media agents (What kinds of versions of the and memory enables us to explore each past are shaped by different media? of these fields by using the insights What is the division of labor between gained from the other; utilizing the study local and global media or between of media in order to probe the field of commercial and public media?); the collective memory research and vice cultures in which these processes take versa to investigate old and new place (Media Memory as an indicator for questions concerning the operation of sociological and political changes); and the media, by means of insights gained the interrelations between the media and through the study of collective memory. other realms of social activity (such as Motti Neiger, Oren Meyers, and Eyal Zandberg, 2011)
