Technology Philanthropist, Innovation & Standardization Evangelist Kishor is currently leading the Smart Cities Standardization Globally as Convener of Reference Architecture Work Group in IEC Systems Committee on Smart Cities, and also as Co-editor of a few ISO Standards. At the National level, he is leading the Smart Cities Standardization work in ICT & Electrotechnology domains as the Chairman of LITD 28 Sectional Committee on Smart Infrastructure at BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), where the main focus is on Standards development for Unified & Secure ICT Architecture for Smart Cities/ Infrastructure. Professionally, Kishor is Technology Consultant, Mentor & Design Architect in Electrical, Electronics & ICT with over 40 years of professional experience in education, research, design and consulting. Over 30 years of hardcore Research and Design Development Experience in Solutions, Systems, Products, Hardware, Software & Firmware (Embedded Software) in fields of Industrial, Power, IT, Telecom, Medical, Energy and Environment, and over 10 years of Consultancy Experience to different segments of business & industry. He has over 200 Research & Design Mentees in the Electronics, ICT & STI Ecosystems. Professionally, he is an Electronics Design Engineer practicing design & development of a wide spectrum of Products, Systems & Solutions as an Independent Design House - NARNIX kishor@narnix.com Prof. Goutam Chakraborty Brief Resume: Prof. Goutam Chakraborty received his Ph.D. in 1993 from Tohoku University, Japan. Before joining Tohoku University, he worked in Telecommunication Industry in India. Presently, he is Professor and head of the Intelligent Informatics laboratory, Department of the Software and Information Science, Iwate Prefectural University, Japan. His research interests are Soft Computing algorithms and their applications to solve pattern recognition, prediction, scheduling and optimization problems

3 including applications in wired, wireless, and sensor Networks. He works in the analysis of various time-series signals, collected by sensors from nature, human body as well as machines. Recently, he is also interested in scale-free networks and applications in large-data mining problems. Rajeev Shorey Dr. Rajeev Shorey is a Principal Scientist with TCS Research and Innovation. He received his Ph.D and MS (Engg) in Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India in 1997 and 1991 respectively. He received his B.E degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IISc, Bangalore in Dr. Shorey s career spans several reputed research labs General Motors (GM) India Science Laboratory (ISL), IBM India Research Laboratory and SASKEN Technologies. He has been an adjunct faculty in the Computer Science & Engineering Dept at IIT, Delhi from 1998 to 2005 and again from 2017 onward. He was a faculty in the Computer Science Dept at the National University of Singapore from 2003 to 2004, while on leave from IBM Research Labs in New Delhi. Dr. Shorey served as the first President of NIIT University from 2009 to 2013 before joining the TCS Innovation Labs in Dr. Shorey s work has resulted in more than 60 publications in international journals and conferences and several US patents, all in the area of wireless, wired networks, including wireless security. He has 12 issued US patents and several pending US patents to his credit. His areas of interest are Wireless Networks, Internet, Telecommunications, Telematics, Data Security and Data Analytics. Dr. Shorey has served on the Editorial boards of IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing and is currently serving on the Editorial board of WINET (Wireless Networks Journal of Mobile Communication, Computation and Information) journal. He is the editor of the book titled Mobile, Wireless and Sensor Networks: Technology, Applications and Future Directions published by John Wiley, US in March Dr. Shorey has given numerous talks, tutorials and seminars in industry and academia all over the world. He is the founding member of the Communication Systems & Networks (COMSNETS) conference in India. For his contributions in the area of Communication Networks, Dr. Shorey was elected a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering in Dr. Shorey was recognized by ACM as a Distinguished Scientist in December He is a Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, India and a Senior Member of IEEE.

4 Ashwani Kumar Director, Head of Technology Standardization, Ericsson India Pvt. Ltd. Ashwani brings 25 years of rich global experience in ICT industry, having worked in various roles and capacities in wireless and wireline domains. He is currently leading technology & spectrum standardization for 3GPP mobile technologies and technical regulations for Ericsson in India. In past he has worked with Indian state telco BSNL, DoT and Telecom Engineering Centre for 15 years followed by British Telecom at UK. He has been with Ericsson since 2008 having worked in various roles comprising network planning, deployment and managed operations for enterprise and mobility services. He is currently leading 5G standardization at 3GPP and playing an active role in global harmonization of mmw spectrum for 5G under WRC-19 and IMT-2020 evaluation initiatives of ITU-R. He is also actively engaged in regional standardization at TSDSI as a Governing Council member and as Chair for Study Group 5 on 5G for smart cities at BIS LITD28. At TEC, Ashwani has played a key role in standardization and induction of SDH, DWDM, ADSL2+/VDSL and GPON, IP/MPLS, DWDM technologies in India; and successful indigenous development of STM1/4/16 and DWDM technology in collaboration with CDoT (Center for Development of Telematics) in India. He has actively led Optical and IP/MPLS transport technologies in actively engagement with key global SDOs (ITU, IEEE, MEF, TMN Forum, ITU-APT etc.) representing India for 6 years during At British Telecom in UK, Ashwani worked on BT s prestigious 21st Century NGN transformation program for two years for IP/Voice network & OSS designs. A B. Tech. (Electronics & Communication) and M. Tech. (Micro-Electronics) from IIT-Roorkee, he started his career with DoT (India) through Indian Telecom Services (ITS).
