9 Rosfer is a small enterprise operating in the area of precision mechanical manufacturing since 1969, supplying several top-quality Customers in Italy and abroad. Rosfer has two main areas of business: - Design and manufacturing of test equipments for metrological evaluation of mechanical components: Dial gauges and electronic indicators for checking of dimensions, shape and position for: motor components and compressors such as crankshafts, camshafts, cylinder heads, engine blocks, connecting rods, pistons, valves and other. gearboxes components and transmission cases components for automotive and aeronautical use, such as gearing, sleeves, planetary gears, main shafts, countershafts and other. dimensional check of components used in a wide variety of industrial applications, like brake disks, brake shoes, armatures and stators for electric motors, etc. Our activity includes definition of metrological measurement strategies, design and drawing of full system, manufacturing of the assembly, development and testing of control and measurement SW, evaluation of metrological performance (parameters like incertitude of measurements, R&R, process capability etc.). - Manufacturing of high precision components and assemblies in accordance with Customers drawings and plans tool guide bushings, revolving bushings, locators, dowels, spring collets, sprindles, complete fixtures for part positioning during the machining or inspection stages. 12 Using the six sigma method mepit is able to manage the difficulty of aerospace programs and continuously improve its processes. Starting from an appropriate risk analisys, followed by a process capability certification and continuing with a continue improve plan. Thanks to a continuous investment plan mepit use the best technology actually on the market. The workshop is equipped with lathes, milling machines, machining centers and EDM with numerical control systems on the machine can handle up to 6 axes of work. 14 Gear transmissions and power train solutions for aerospace applications

15 T.T.N. plants allow to perform any kind of vacuum treatments ranging from the ones with "standard" cooling with nitrogen up to 10 bar (apt for the tempering of a great deal of tool steels and for the inox steels solution heat-treatments) to the ones with helium cooling up to 20 bar, allowing the vacuum tempering of steels with low alloys usually blazed-off. The advantage is to perform it on final items without problems of surface damages. Another cooling method is the salt bath at double phase with 520 C or 200 C temperature, allowing to combine the advantages of the vacuum treatment (absence of surface decarburization) with the advantages of the salt bath as far as deformation reduction and metallurgical characteristics are concerned. It is also possible to perform the cooling in polymer allowing the solution heattreatments of inox steels, superalloys and titanium. All the plants are connected with a data management system allowing the control of the cycles through PC and the record of thermal diagrams automatically saved on the quality certificate as to explain clearly and easily all the operations performed on the tools.
