The welcoming address by President of the Republic of Belarus To the participants of the 21st International Specialized Forum on Telecommunications, Information and Bank Technologies TIBO- 2014, and the 18th International Specialized Exhibition Mass Media in Belarus Dear Friends, Hereby I greet the guests and participants of the TIBO-2014 forum and the Mass Media in Belarus exhibition. Information technologies have totally changed the shape of the today s world by opening unprecedented opportunities to the humankind within the last few decades. No wonder the current stage of development of the civilization is called an information society. Belarus has set an ambitious goal to become an Eastern European leader in developing the digital economy. I am sure that the core of our success will be the achievements of the talented Belarusian scientists, engineers, programmers, and entrepreneurs who are introduced at the TIBO-2014 exhibition. It is symbolic that the TIBO-2014 forum and the Mass Media in Belarus exhibition are held together. Traditional Mass Media are unthinkable without the Internet today. It is obvious that active promotion of innovative technologies into the local Mass Media environment is the basement for the Mass Media to succeed. I am wishing all the participants and visitors of these events to achieve their goals faster, and to work fruitfully to the benefit of the Belarusian people. Alexander LUKASHENKO April 21-25,

The welcoming address by Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus To the participants and visitors of the Information Society Technologies Congress, the TIBO-2014 and Mass Media in Belarus international exhibitions Dear participants and visitors of the Information Society Technologies Congress, the TIBO-2014 and Mass Media in Belarus international exhibitions, The innovation development path and the formation of the information society are the national priorities of the Republic of Belarus. 8 A developed information and telecommunication infrastructure ensures an intensive use of the ICT in the real sector of the economy and contributes to the development of electronic commerce. Software development including the exported software is one of the fastest growing economy sectors in the country. Digital revolution has affected the mass communications sector, too. In the TV world this means transition to the digital broadcasting formats. The Internet has become one of the principal means to spread media information. Belarus actively implements the State Program for Digital Radio and TV Broadcasting, which enables to significantly improve the quality of TV broadcasting. Cable TV operators also keep up with the digital progress by actively introducing modern technologies in their networks and broadcasting high-definition television. The market of information and communication technologies and services develops very rapidly in the Republic of Belarus, which is proved by the growing number of the exhibitors and the extending list of the displayed equipment and services. Over 200 companies from 14 countries participate in the exhibition this year. The sessions of the Belarusian congress on information society technologies will highlight the topical issues related to the development of the information and communication technologies industry and the Mass Media of the Republic of Belarus: the national information infrastructure, digital economics, e-government, information and communication technologies applied in social sphere, development of the regional Press, presence of the Mass Media in social networks, provisions for transboundary digital cooperation within the framework of the Common Economic Space. 12 April 21, 2014 THE OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY OF THE TIBO-2014 FORUM The official opening ceremony of the 21 st International Specialized Forum on Telecommunications, Information and Bank Technologies TIBO-2014 was held in the Congress Hall at the Business Center of the Victoria Hotel Complex on April 21, S.P. Popkov, Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus and Chairperson of the Forum Organizing Committee, said his salutary address. He read the welcoming message to the participants and guests of the forum by M.V. Myasnikovich, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus. It was noted that Belarus firmly pursued the development of the information society, which could be proved by annual organization of the TIBO forum. The event was held for the 21 st time; it attracted more attention from the leading companies and the ICT experts. S.P. Popkov O.Zh. Kaiykov, Head of the Zonal CIS Countries Division of the International Telecommunication Union, noted the following in his opening remarks: It is a big honor for me to welcome the participants and guests of the April 21-25,

O.Zh. Kajykov N.N. Mukhitdinov forum on behalf of the International Telecommunication Union. I am happy to have the opportunity to personally thank Mr. S.P. Popkov, Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, for inviting me to participate in such an important event not only for the Republic of Belarus, but for all our region that will present us the newest ICT developments and will give us a chance to glimpse into the future. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) participates in such a high-ranking forum for the second time, and the ITU does it with great pleasure. Today, they pay special attention to the information and communication technologies throughout the world. The ICT are one of the most powerful tools to tackle many challenges of public administration, science, education, and public health. Describing the fields where the ICT can be applied would turn into a very long story. The convergence processes, which are going on today, will finally surface a society without boundaries. Today, an advanced information and communication infrastructure becomes one of the most important indicators of the country s successful development. The recipe for successful economic and social development is constant innovative activities and widespread application of advanced technologies. In this regard, the Republic of Belarus is certainly one of the leaders in the CIS region. N.N. Mukhitdinov, General Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Communications Commonwealth, read the welcome address on behalf of N.A. Nikiforov, Minister of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation. In particular, he said: It is difficult to overestimate the role of the communications and telecommunications industry in the development of the information society. Information development is one of the strategic priorities of the countries, and this is seen as the national objective requiring to consolidate the efforts of the state, business, and civil society. The level of the ICT deployment has an impact both on the country s international image and on the lives of millions. I am pleased to note that the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus has been a full member of the Regional Communications Commonwealth for more than 20 years; and the experience and achievements of the Republic of Belarus play an important role in the ICT development of the member countries of the Commonwealth. The TIBO forum is an efficient tool in addressing the challenges of the (IT) industry. I am convinced that TIBO-2014 will continue having a positive impact on the further efficient implementation of information technologies in our countries and will help improve the quality of interaction between the government, citizens, and business. I wish all participants and guests of the forum to work successfully and efficiently, to exchange practices effectively, and to make mutually beneficial decisions. V.V. Matusevich, Deputy Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus, addressing the participants of the TIBO st International Forum with his salutatory speech, said: I am happy to welcome all of you on behalf of the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, which is one of the TIBO forum organizers. During the exhibition time, the forum became a significant event not V.V. Matusevich 12 April 21-25, 2014

only in the IT field, but in the social life of our country in general. And it is not surprising, because informatization is the most important development mainstream of Belarus that largely determines the prospect of our competitive, dynamic and successful country. If we talk about the IT and the Media, this relationship is very strong and clear. The Mass Media being the most important information resource constantly apply the latest technological achievements, and use them to acquire new features. The Mass Media also play a very important role in shaping of a broad public support that is necessary for successful achievement of the goals of comprehensive informatization of the country. Media and information component is important here at all levels: mass level, expert level, management level. I think it is important for all the former Soviet Union countries: to form a social and economic environment that would support dynamic and efficient technological development. At that, this is a progressive development! As Steve Jobs ones said: Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower. And for new ideas and creative approaches to emerge, it is necessary to have an appropriate environment the shaping of which is also supported by the Mass Media and by such large-scale and reputable forums as TIBO. I sincerely wish you an interesting discussion and productive work. A.G. Shumilin, Chairperson of the State Committee on Science and Technologies of the Republic of Belarus, read his salutary address: The State Committee on Science and Technologies of the Republic of Belarus has always been paying special attention to the ICT. This is one of the development priorities of our country. This is not by chance that already the 21 st forum starts today. This is already the history of the country s development S.V. Dubkov A.G. Shumilin and how science evolutionized in it. At present, it is impossible to imagine the development of technologies without the ICT. Everything what is discovered in science today definitely has something to do with information. Moreover, information becomes the source of income, of revenue today; hence, it is an independent industry and a rapidly growing market. Last year, the High Tech Park (HTP) alone exported software products worth of half a billion US dollars. Maybe, this will not seem very significant, but if we consider that almost all of this is an added value, then we can say that our machine building industry generates exactly the same revenue. But this is an entire industry! Belarus constantly invests resources into the ICT development. This priority will remain for the next five year period. I am very pleased to see start-up projects at the forum. This allows our developers to express themselves, find potential investors, and start their own business. I would like to wish all of you success, to develop new approaches and trends, and to sign new contracts. S.V. Dubkov. Deputy Chairperson of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, addressed the exhibitors and the visitors of the fair with his welcoming speech: On behalf of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, please let me welcome you to this forum. The National Bank is one of the organizers of this forum for several reasons. We can see the future of the national banking system precisely because of the mutual integration of banking and information technologies. And I hope that we would live to see the period when the title of the forum has a hyphen instead of and between the words information and bank technologies. Please let me wish you success and say that the banking system is interested in new technologies. April 21-25,

Technologies are nothing without human resources; that is why it is important to educate the IT staff. 3.5 thousand specialists were trained last year. The High Tech Park (HTP) has certified 961 specialists. There are 140 residents registered in the HTP; and more than 3,000 jobs were created there last year. According to the UN assessment, Belarus is Top 61 in terms of providing e-services to the population. This is the field where we shall put more effort to stand up on a par with other developed countries. The head of state pays special attention to the ICT development in the country. The 2016 information society strategy is being developed. There is a lot of work ahead, but these tasks will be fulfilled through our joint effort. Mr. Yoon Jong Won Mr. Yoon Jong Won, Director of the International Cooperation Department in the field of information technologies of the National Agency for Information Society Development of the Republic of Korea, welcomed the audience: It is a big honor for me to be invited to the TIBO-2014 forum and to visit Belarus. I am very grateful to Mr. Sergei Popkov, Minister of Communications and Informatization, and I express him my respect. If you trust the statistics, about 50% of the world s population never saw a mobile phone before Y2000 s. Today about 80% of people on the globe routinely use modern mobile devices. It seems to me, now is the time not to focus on hardware, but on software. According to the statistics, 75-80% of the end-users using the Belarusian software live the USA or Western Europe. Actually, 44 countries procure software applications from Belarus. A famous gaming software application that is popular in the Republic of Korea has been developed in Belarus. Belarus is an ideal partner for us. So here I am, and that is why I attend this conference. I hope we will find reliable partners here. Then, S.P. Popkov, Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, read his report. In particular, he said: The IP-TV has been actively developing for the last few years: the number of subscribers has increased by 32%. Analogue TV will no longer be broadcasted. A terrestrial TV broadcasting with extended services and a wide range of additional TV channels was launched last year. The priority is to establish a favorable environment for the development of the information society in the country. Belarus is Top 41 in terms of the ICT development; and our goal is to become Top 3; and we have a year and a half to do this. At the event, N.N. Mukhitdinov, General Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Communications Commonwealth, made his report on cooperation of the member countries in developing the information society. The rapporteur described what the Commonwealth was and what perspectives that organization brought to Belarus. The Regional Communications Commonwealth was established on December 17, 1991, and the Republic of Belarus became its member. One cannot imagine the development of the ICT without having a regulatory framework. The Expert Council of the Commonwealth drafts law templates, which are then adopted in the member countries for efficient regulation in the ICT field. Today, the most important issue is a commitment to transboundaryness and, therefore, the question of trust between the countries is included into the Commonwealth. People leaving abroad know about the projects implemented in the Republic of Belarus, too. I wish to note with satisfaction that Belarus is the only country that will have fully moved from analog to digital broadcasting by The people of Belarus will have a unique opportunity to have a much wider range of services at their disposal. Mr. Yoon Jong Won, Director of the International Cooperation Department in the field of information technologies of the National Agency for Information Society Development of the Republic of Korea, described their experience and the history of the ICT development in South Korea. The Second World War destroyed about For three years in a row, Belarus is one of the top world economies in terms of the ICT development. 14 April 21-25, 2014

90% of the industrial potential of the country. After the Second World War, the situation in Belarus seemed pretty similar; that is why we can understand how much had to be done to restore and then to develop. When I studied at school, even a regular wired phone was a rare thing in a house: only very wealthy people could afford it. Even today the kid already has a modern mobile device with a wide range of features that make it more than just a phone. I also remember that such companies as Samsung used to be small manufactures that were unknown to anyone. And in the 1990 s, it was a huge global company, which became a pioneer in the world of mobile telecommunication technologies. This growth occurred before my eyes and it proved that everything is possible especially in an environment provided in a modern I.V. Lutski world with its technologies and scientific achievements. And this is far from being the end; I would say, it is not even the middle of the road. We have a lot of things to do, and I m happy to witness great achievements and accomplishments, said Mr. Yoon Jong Won. I.V. Lutski, First Deputy General Director of the Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BelTA), delivered his speech titled The role of information and communication technologies in the Mass Media efficiency. He said: A competitive media environment is being shaped. Each newspaper, magazine or any other Media has its own niche in the common system. There are three important fields where the Mass Media work: security, standards, and telecommunications. Security of the Media (especially of large ones) has always been under threat. Some large Belarusian Internet resources were repeatedly attacked by hackers in November Anti-hacking protection is quite expensive. One of the surest moves will be the implementation of the semantic technology that will enable to register data and present it to the user in a user-preferred form. The introduction of digital television will enable to increase the competitive environment, which, in turn, will improve the quality of TV channels. Technology development enables to considerably increase the efficiency of reporters and journalists. So, it is possible to send photos directly from your digital camera or send an audio track right from your smartphone. Music bands closed the opening ceremony of the TIBO forum. April 21-25,

April 22, 2014 THE OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE TIBO-2014 EXHIBITION The honorary right to open the exhibition was granted to: D.G. I very much hope that this rich exhibition agenda will be successful, that the discussions will be fruitful and interesting, and that the exchange of new ideas and practices will be mutually beneficial. N.N.Mukhitdinov, General Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Communications Commonwealth, also addressed the guests and participants of the exhibition with his salutatory speech: The grand opening of the TIBO-2014 forum was held yesterday. 64 INTERVIEWS WITH THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE FORUM G.V. Melnikov, First Deputy General Director of Beltelecom RUP, shared his impressions and expectations from the event: The opening was very dynamic and modern. As the information and communication technologies required, everything went very smoothly, timely, and, which is most importantly, technologically. I am glad that from year to year the number of the exhibitors grows: this reflects the progress of the exhibition. Our company sees this forum, first of all, as the opportunity to establish new active business contacts. But more importantly, this is a great opportunity to focus on development by getting acquainted with your competitors. Of course, the most interesting (stand) for me is Beltelecom: I focus all my attention on our stand, on how we present ourselves, on how we draw attention to ourselves. We introduce the most state-of-the-art and high-quality services. Today, it is important to bear in mind that competition is fierce, especially in the field of the Internet services. Due to that, we must constantly keep abreast of new trends and market changes. I hope the forum will be successful and productive. G.V. Melnikov M.S. Bondarev, Deputy Director of Bel Huawei Technologies OOO, used the exhibition to speak about the operations of the Huawei Representative Office: We have been participating in the exhibition for 10 years already, and during this time, we have witnessed substantial development of technologies. The things that seemed ambitious dreams of the future some 10 years ago have become a routine reality for many millions of people today. This year we have decided to concentrate on displaying our terminal equipment. Our stand is precisely focused on the latest devices and developments from Huawei, which are topical for global users. Unfortunately, we could not display all the models, since some of them have not been announced even by our headquarters yet. When at our stand, you can use any device, hold it in your hands, and evaluate the software features. If compared to the previous year, the terminal equipment segment has considerably grown in our production. Our portfolio has expanded; so, we decided to focus on this particular business. In addition to the terminals, we are pleased to present the Smart City service. It does not occupy the central position now, but we believe it also deserves attention because in the near future, it may well become a part of the reality of each individual. I personally visited the large stands of MTS and Beltelecom, which were interesting to me from a professional point of view. I had a lot of things to discuss with my colleagues, which already means that the forum was worth to be organized. We also meet our competitors at the exhibition. But our industry is good, because today s competitors may become trusted partners tomorrow. April 21-25,

Mr. Wei Wei, Customer Relations Specialist from the ZTE Representative Office in the Republic of Belarus, described the products that the company presented at the exhibition: Today we are ready to provide topical business solutions that enable to automate business to the maximum extent, to reduce the role of the human factor, to release the personnel for doing more important work. Our stand is divided into two parts. The first one is called Enterprise, and it offers to learn more about the solutions of our company that have been specifically designed for industrial enterprises. They can be easily implemented in the fields of energy, transportation, logistics, and telecommunications. Using our flash presentation displayed at the company s stand, we tell how it is possible to implement the suggested solutions at an industrial enterprise. For example, we have a video clip on how to automate handling of containers in a logistic center with the help of our developed solution. Everything is very simple here, but this technology saves a lot of time and resources immediately. We completely exclude personnel s involvement into this procedure, and, consequently, we reduce risks and costs at the same time. Any manager can only rejoice at such a prospect. The second part of the stand introduces the set of automated solutions for home. We offer many devices that can be remotely controlled by your smartphone. For example, you can switch on an air-conditioner at your home at the end of the working day, and once you are home, you would enter the preliminary prepared comfort environment. This complex is fully automated, too; so one can easily and comfortably manage multiple processes in a house remotely. Here we also offer to see our TV tuner that has been developed in such a way that you can control it remotely using your smartphone or any other mobile device. It is very convenient and easy. Now one can really call a remote control as they used to joke before. Our stand constantly hosts entertainment events for the visitors, and we have live music played by the best performers. Many people pay attention to the motorbike parked at our stand, and they are surprised: Why is it here? In fact, we just wanted to draw an analogy. The fact of the matter is that the same expert designed both the motorcycle and our devices; that is why we demonstrate our style in such a clear way. A. Meltsev, Head of Professional Audio & Video Marketing Department of Panasonic Rus OOO, described their experience of participating in the exhibition: We used to participate in the forum through our constant partners; and recently we have decided to act on our own. Our stand presents solutions for various markets: we have decided to focus on this aspect of business. This is sports, office, education, and transport: the four vertical markets. This does not mean that our equipment is targeted to these markets only; this is rather just a sample of where the developments can be applied. Our stand offers the visitor to come closer, to feel and see how these solutions can fit into the usual things and integrate into the existing system. We try not to speak about any individual product: this year, we are more interested in comprehensive solutions, not in products as such. Today we draft solutions that are going to be implemented in 2-3 years. Technologies may change; the models will possibly have other ultimate features; their specifications may change, and many other things may 64 April 21-25, 2014

happen. But the main things are understanding and the general impression that we can make today. The main thing is the idea. Speaking of the novelties, we are ready to present our thin 55 inch antiglare panel that displays high-quality images. We are proud to present today one of the most powerful projectors for 20 thousand lumens and an ultra-wide-angle camera enabling to get images with the aspect ratio of 64 to 9, which in principle considerably exceeds the resolution of a movie theater. We have a positive general impression from the first exhibition day. Here we can really see that the businesses of different levels are interested in our equipment: ordinary guests of the exhibition those who are interested in novelties and technologies ask questions and show their interest, and the companies that can understand how our solutions and developments can be useful for them do the same. I hope that our participation in the exhibition will become a good tradition from now on. T. Kurbat, Head of the PR Group of MTS COOO, described the company s novelties presented at the exhibition: At the exhibition, we demonstrate interesting solutions and products that are targeted at mass consumers, ordinary end-users, and the enterprise market. This year, the concept of our exhibition stand is The MTS digital solutions, meaning we translate matter into digits. Everyone goes to the Internet, all leave for digital formats: movie theaters, shops, purses, books... Absolutely everything. We launch an online movie theater that will open up the world of high quality movies to the users. In this movie theater, we plan to grant user access to new films and blockbusters; at that, we are going to use the internal traffic, which is free for our subscribers. We also offer a cloud storage called MTS Drive. It is a cloud, and a user can upload any data to the cloud not being afraid that the data will be lost or missed. One can access them using absolutely any user s device that has the Internet connectivity. We also have a unique educational program. We offer an electronic library to school children. Here you can find all the textbooks used in schools in grades 5 through to 11. Textbooks available electronically considerably facilitate the process of finding the right information, although such textbooks fully correspond to the traditional paperbased versions. Moreover, the textbooks are full of colorful illustrations, 30 models and other interesting annexes. Many students will be able to access the project this September already. With regard to the business solutions, we have a project that we implement in cooperation with Samsung. This is an Android-based platform enabling to make two devices out of one. So, this is a unique application for companies where the staff uses smartphones or Tablet PCs for business purposes. This platform was created for business and private data not to mix and interfere with each other. It actually allows you to split the smartphone into 2 zones: business and private. Access to one of them is granted only after you exit the other one. Our company participates in the TIBO exhibition annually, because we have things to show and spring surprise. I. Petrushko, Head of Marketing and Sales, AGAT Control Systems OAO: I. Petrushko We represent not only AGAT Control Systems, but also the entire Geo-information Management Systems holding of companies. Considering the specifics of the business, each one of us offers unique solutions. These are energy-saving technologies, information solutions for government agencies, and the technologies to control various types of transport, and much more. The project is based on modern technologies that can satisfy the interests of the customer. For example, an interesting solution has April 21-25,

been designed when fulfilling the order of BelAZ. This is a system to monitor the diagnostics of transport, of large dump trucks, which enables to keep track of the status of the key components of these vehicles. One can find out the details of other solutions at our company s stand. The fair works very intensively and, in my opinion, effectively. We have been engaged both in the exhibition and the congress for many years. S. Kanashevich, Media Projection Equipment Specialist of PrintLux OOO, described the new products of the company: At our booth, we present two types of interactive solutions: ultra-short-focus and short-focus projectors. Each one of them has its own advantages. An ultrashort-focus projector enables the tutor to be closer to the screen board rather than in case of other projectors. First, the projector s beam does not interfere with the teacher; and, second, students cannot see any shadows on the screen. This is a very convenient solution. In parallel with the projectors, we offer a software product: RMEasiteach. Usually, the software embedded into media projectors and interactive whiteboards has limited features. And the features of the RMEasiteach application are dozens of times richer than the potential of the embedded software. We have a special offer for educational institutions enabling them to get a free demo version of RMEasiteach by downloading it from our website. In addition, there is a special discounted offer for schools and universities applied if they buy a media projector. E. Boiko, Deputy Director for Marketing and Sales of PrintLux OOO, described the event that had become traditional for the company when it participated in the TIBO exhibition: PrintLux and the Minsk City Institute of Education Development organize the IT Skills Contest every year. This year, the contest is called My Belarus ; and it is devoted to the Year of Hospitality. We held the contest in two categories: Welcome to Belarus and Sporting Belarus. The second, of course, is topical because of the Ice Hockey World Championship to be hosted. The children told the guests of our country about the most interesting places in Belarus and about the achievements of the Belarusian sportsmen. The contest sparked a big interest. 85 works were submitted, and it wasn t an easy task to choose the best. There were very interesting and talented pieces, videos, interactive albums, and even complete websites devoted to these two topics. We have been organizing this contest for three years already; and every time we give awards to the winners right at the TIBO exhibition. This year, all winners received decent prizes: the Epson printers. It seems to us, everyone was happy. 66 April 21-25, 2014

The core business activities are supplying components for fiber optic cable networks and equipment for corporate networks. The company offers the following: instruments and measuring equipment, copper cabling systems, multimedia components, the PON networks equipment, fiber optic components, networking equipment, video conferencing equipment, surge arrests and uninterruptible power supplies, telecommunication cabinets and open racks, and tools. We like the way the fair is organized, and video conferences made good impressions. And at our stand, we present a new welding machine this year, said Y. Alenchik, Telecommunications Engineer. TAMRON OOO Teling Group OOO The company s stand displayed a wide range of video surveillance equipment from Dahua, the Tsict accessories, and the HP servers. The specially installed monitors displayed real time images from the Dahua video cameras mounted on the company s stand. Thus, it was possible to appreciate the operating quality of the equipment. The company also displayed casing for the Tsict video cameras, the Lantech industrial switches, and the HP servers. Multisoft ODO The visitors had the opportunity to study the solutions of arranging video surveillance systems of any scale: urban video surveillance, industrial video surveillance for hazardous applications (explosive, aggressive environment, etc.), visitor counting systems, video analytics systems, IPbased video door entry systems for private houses and apartment buildings (business centers). All questions could be asked to the experts and to the specially invited representatives of the manufacturer who came from China. The visitors could also see the latest models of the HP servers, industrial switches, door intercommunication systems, and accessories. April 21-25,

Datastream DEP OOO At the stand, the visitors could talk to the specialists of the company and study the new products from the famous brand names: ZyXEL: active networking equipment; ORing: active networking equipment for industrial Ethernet; TWT, LANMASTER: comprehensive cable system solutions; VIVOTEK: IP-cameras and software for video surveillance; Macroscop: a software application for professional IP-based video surveillance systems; Bas-IP: IP-based door intercom system; QNAP: network attached storage (NAS) and network video recording (NVR) IP-based systems; APC: uninterruptible power suppliers, surge arrests, etc. The company is one of the leading Belarusian players in the information technologies market; it supplies advanced telecommunications equipment designed for data networking of various complexity and for different applications. Datastream DEP comprehensively distributes products, including counselling about the equipment selection, complete supporting of the product delivery (planning, informing of the customer about the items in shipment, time in transit, delivery time), documentary supporting (providing necessary state licenses, compliance certificates for the supplied equipment, and other documentation), warranty and post-warranty servicing. The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus The main objectives of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus are: protecting and ensuring stability of the Belarusian ruble, including its purchasing power and its currency exchange rate in relation to foreign currencies; ensuring stability of the banking system of the Republic of Belarus; maintaining efficient, reliable, and secure operation of the payment system. This year, we present a project to improve financial literacy of the population, because profiting is not the main business purpose of the National Bank, stressed N. Poznyak, Chief Specialist of the Non-banking Operations Directorate of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus. The joint stand of the Minsk State Executive Committee This year, the Minsk City Executive Committee was presented by various organizations. InDelKo ZAO is one of the leading Belarusian companies on the market of telemetry and industrial automation; the company offers turn-key high-tech solutions applying the most advanced and modern technical units based on the latest achievements of microprocessor and information technologies; and some of the components are made by the company itself. The core business of the enterprise is development, designing, manufacturing, and supplying hardware and software complexes and means for dispatcher control and management, and implementation of the automated technological processes control systems. D. Bozhko, Electronics Engineer of InDelCo, described the new products presented by the company at the exhibition: This is a comprehensive system of reporting and dispatching the energy resources of the town or 80 April 21-25, 2014

district. This also enables to do accounting, to control and analyze the consumption of thermal energy for heating and hot water supply in housing and utilities. TIBO is an interesting and ambitious exhibition. Not only Belarusians, but many visitors from Russia who are interested in our products come to our stand. I like that the fair is well planned and thought out. Here you feel yourself cozily, noted D. Bozhko. The 51 st high school of Minsk City presented the student s card. Y. Pokataeva, Deputy Director, gave more details of the project: The student s card has an electronic chip in the memory of which there is data on the ID owner (this matches the information that can be read visually, but for the photo). The electronic chip is recognized by the readers based on the rules that include an unauthorized access protection. This means that the digital data stored on the student s card cannot be read by automated systems that do not have the appropriate access rights. The student s card is identified at a distance of up to 10 centimeters from the card reader. Novatech Security Systems ZAO is a Belarusian developer and manufacturer of high-quality security systems under the Novatech trademark. The company is specialized in designing, manufacturing and servicing of security and monitoring systems: software, control panels, security sensors, alarming devices. Another important business activity of the company is designing, supplying, and servicing complex video surveillance systems. The Infopark Scientific and Technological Association The Infopark Scientific and Technological Association was established according to the Presidential Decree #234 On state support of development and export of information technologies dated May 3, The Infopark Association was created as a tool to develop the Belarusian programming industry and to make organizational and economic environment that would be attractive and favorable for the IT experts to work in Belarus rather than abroad. According to the Civil Code of the Republic of Belarus, the main tasks of the Association are coordination of businesses, representation and protection of the interests of its member companies (legal entities). The members of the Infopark Association offer their consumers a wide range of high-tech software products and solutions that are demanded both in the domestic and foreign markets, including the largest European countries, the USA, Russia, and the CIS countries. The customers and partners are such wellknown companies as Alcatel, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Microsoft, Novell, Oracle, Siemens, SUN, and many others. April 21-25,
