Forcing unhealthy companies and companies that produce poor quality products to take corrective actions or be kicked out. 10 Project 1 Research on the Strategy of Upgrading Manufacturing Quality China s manufacturing industry is large but not powerful. To change this situation, we should enhance innovative capability and improve quality level as well. The research on Manufacturing Quality Strategy is based on this perception. 11 Project 2 Research on China National Quality Infrastructure (CNQI) It is a research project based on the Research on Strategy of Reinforcing Industrial Foundation, which focuses on the comprehensive researches on quality and standards, metrology, certification and accreditation, inspection and testing. 14 Project 4 Research on the reform of China s standardization management system China has quantities of standards with complicated levels, some are backward and intersected, some are insufficient. These problems badly affect the healthy development of socio-economy. Solutions are to implement market-oriented reform. 15 Achievements of Quality Work Rate of Product Qualified (RPQ) RPQ refers to the qualification rate in overall products, of which qualified products refer to those whose physical quality reaches the quality standards as required by the law, specifications or contracts. Quality Index System for China Manufacturing Industry Quality Competitiveness Indicators Refers to economic and technical indicators which are generated on basis of mathematical methods and reflect the overall level of quality competitiveness, including 2 secondary indicators, 6 third level indicators and 6 fourth level indicators.
