With the encouragement and support from the college, twenty four UGC funded projects are running successfully by the faculty members till date.the college is in collaboration with INFOSYS, TCS, NIT Sikkim, AIT Bangkok and other organizations of repute. 11 Sharmistha is also a part of the Bengal rowing squad in the 34th National Games held at Jharkhand in the year Industry Visit March 2014 A three day industry visit was organised during the month of March a group of thirty (30) M.B.A. final year students went to visit Vizag steel plant, Andhra Pradesh with their teachers. they have visited the steel plant processing unit to experience the steel processing. besides, the group have also visited important places nearby.

12 l ANGER MANAGEMENT: AN OVERVIEW Shouvanik Roy, BBA (H) 3rd Year Anger Management education was founded in 1994, 'it provided education and psychotherapy to individuals to help make sense of hand manage anger in their everyday lives'. Anger remains a healthy emotion when expressed appropriately, although devastating effects may still exist. Anger lies at the root of many personal and social problems, such as child abuse domestic and community violence, physical and verbal abuse. Anger also affects our physical health, by contributing to headaches, migraines, severe gastrointestinal symptoms, hypertension and coronary artery disease. Everybody feels anger from time to time. If anger is not controlled it can destroy relationships and friendships. Anger management must begin with a few question such as what is anger, when do anger problems begin, why do people get angry, and how can we fix this anger problem we have. We know that it is an emotion that occurs when we are disappointed, upset, or frustrated. Jack Nicholson so nicely stated, Anger Management ; Your temper is the one thing you can't get rid of by losing it. Uncontrolled anger turns into hatred and bitterness. I have it said, Bitterness is the only chemical that destroys the container that holds it. There are some effective solutions to manage anger: Make up your mind; you do not have to be angry. Do not feed anger. Do not esteem anger. Give no response to offense. Kindness done with no ulterior motive turns away anger. In conclusion: 1. Don't justify your anger by saying you are just angry with yourself. 2. Anger is hard to live with. 3. Anger is contagious. 4. Anger suppressed is still anger. 5. Anger can be expressed or suppressed but healing comes when confessed. The energy of anger can be used positively as a physical exercise such as walking, dancing and practicing martial arts. Meditation is very helpful to control the rage. I manage my anger and frustration by going to gym. Anger management leads to success. l Experience working at HUL st Dipti Sarkar MBA 1 Year Worked as a junior pure it water division (PWD) at HUL for two months achieved the target given and earned a handsome incentive with basic pay. This Job is specially designed for marketing people where generating needs, approaching a customer and convincing them for buying the product when there are so many competitors were in the market. It was bit tough for me because as fresher I joined without any experience and knowledge on marketing. The experience and knowledge I gathered from HUL will help me in future. l Time and Motion Studies st Chaitali Roy MBA 1 Year Time and motion study (also referred to as motion and time study) is the scientific study of the conservation of human resources in the search for the most efficient method of doing a task. A fascination with the word efficiency began in the late 19th and early 20th centuries when it was considered one of the most important concepts. Time study began in the 1880s as a means of wage-rate setting by Frederick W. Taylor, who is regarded as the father of scientific management. It consists of a wide variety of procedures for determining the amount of time required, under certain standard conditions of measurement, for tasks involving some human activity. Motion study was developed by Frank B. Gilbreth and Lillian M. Gilbreth and consists of a wide variety of procedures for the description, systematic analysis, and means of improving work methods. It is difficult to separate these two aspects completely. Therefore, the combined term usually refers to all three phases of the activity: method determination, time appraisal, and development of material for the application of these data. Frank and Lillian also broadened scientific management by including the human element, therefore using psychology to gain the cooperation of employees. Motion and time analysis could be used to help find a preferential way of doing the work and could assist in effectively managing or controlling the activity.
