Aon Australia s National Food, Agri-business & Beverage Forum Speakers Jason Disborough Managing Director, Global, Aon Risk Solutions Australia Jason has worked in the insurance industry for over 21 years and was appointed as Managing Director, Aon Global in February 2013. Prior to this role Jason was the Chief Commercial Officer of Aon Risk Solutions, Australia across its Global, Corporate, Commercial, Affinity and Risk Consulting divisions. He has been with Aon Australia for 13 years in a variety of roles. Jason maintains strategic responsibility for a number of Aon s major clients and also provides specialist advice on risk management and risk financing issues. He is widely recognised as one of the leading risk management and risk financing experts in the Asia Pacific region and speaks at numerous industry events on these disciplines. Jason is a fellow of the Australian Insurance Institute, a certified finance and treasury professional and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds bachelor degrees in science and commerce. Jason is also the current chairman of ANZIIF s Risk Management Faculty Advisory Board. Rick Shanks ARM National Managing Director, Food System Agribusiness and Beverage Group Aon Risk Solutions U.S Rick is the National Managing Director of Aon s U.S Food System, Agribusiness & Beverage Group (FAB). He serves as a national resource to Aon offices and their clients to deliver innovative industry-specific risk management solutions and services. These clients include food and beverage processors, food manufacturers, transporters, wholesalers, retailers, agribusiness input suppliers, crop/livestock producers, food and agricultural cooperatives, trade associations and lenders. Rick provides industry-specific experience with an emphasis on risk identification, assessment and developing solutions for non-traditional risks such as food contamination events, bioterrorism, brand damage, weather, supply system disruption, volumetric loss to crop/livestock, commodity price and other high-impact financial volatility risk exposures of a global food system. Rick earned a BA, Political Science and Business Administration from the University of Missouri and an Associate of Risk Management (ARM) designation from Insurance Institute of America. He is a member of the Grocery Manufacturers Association, Food and Agriculture Risk Team for Department of Homeland Security, Sandia National Laboratories and the National Center for Food Protection and Defense. Rick is also a founding corporate member of the Ruschlikon Compact on Climate Change Futures Swiss Re Centre for Global Dialogue, Harvard Medical School and the United Nations Development Program, and member of the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association.

Peter is Grant Thornton s food and beverage industry sector leader in Sydney. His recent assignments include: Audit partner for a number of large international and national organisations, coordinating audit approach and seamless service delivery to meet each group s needs IFRS conversion for a large multinational organisation Expert witness on accounting standard and financial reporting matters Peter is also in charge of the CA support program at Grant Thornton and delivers technical training to other firms on behalf of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Peter holds qualifications in Accounting, is a Registered Company Auditor and member of the ICAA. Robert Luttrell Managing Director, Robert Luttrell and Associates Robert Luttrell has over 25 years international experience in crisis management. A lawyer by training, Robert helps companies improve their risk preparedness and handle challenging situations such as product contaminations, extortion threats, industrial accidents, environmental disasters, takeovers, kidnap & ransom and terrorism. Luttrell & Associates is retained by XL to help insureds in the food and beverages industry by developing their product recall and crisis management plans, running mock recalls and crisis simulation exercises, and providing advice and support in a recall situation. Prior to establishing the firm in 2003, Robert was Director-Issues & Crisis Management at Edelman; before that he spent eight years with Prudential, latterly as Head of Corporate Affairs for Australia. Karina Rodriguez Diaz Placement Manager Crisis Management, Aon Risk Solutions Australia Karina has over 9 years experience in the Insurance Broking industry. Starting her career at Marsh in 1999, initially in the Legal & Compliance Department and transferring to Broking in 2000. Prior to moving to Australia, Karina worked for 5 years in the Colombian broking market. Prior to joining Aon in 2010, Karina worked at Marsh where she was responsible for the strategy and placement of major corporate accounts for the Public Sector. Karina joined Aon in 2010 as part of the Crisis Management team. Her responsibilities include the strategy and placement of Kidnap for Ransom, Contaminated Product, Terrorism and Political Risk insurance. Some of the major clients that Karina has worked on include Wesfarmers Limited, Caltex Australia Ltd, Primo Smallgoods, Crown Ltd, PBL Media, Dexus, Treasury Wine Estates, Asahi Holdings, and Origin Energy to name a few. Karina holds tertiary qualifications in Law, Insurance and Business Management.
