We have released a new version, Ver. 1.84, of the sensor software for the FQ2 Series of Smart Cameras. The functions that have been added or changed in Ver. 1.84 are described in this document. 1. Summary of Additions and Changes in Sensor Software Ver. 1.84 The main changes and additions are as follows: The [Specify sensor] screen and [Search unreachable sensors] screen have been combined into the new [Sensor list] screen. The screen that appears in TouchFinder immediately after the power is turned on has been changed. Changing from the [Sensor monitor] screen to the [Single sensor] screen, [Multi sensor] screen, or [NG sensor] screen is now possible. Tool buttons have been added to the [Multi sensor] screen and [NG sensor] screen. Sensor information can now be shown in the [Multi sensor] screen and [Switch sensor] screen. The image that appears when the screen is switched from Run to Setup has been changed from live image to freeze image display. Live image and freeze image buttons have been added to the [Display] screen. The IP address used in the PC Tool can now be selected. A function for restoring a sensor connection has been added. 2. Details of Added/Changed Functions 2.1 Setting the sensor in the [Sensor list] screen 2.1.1. Related sections of manual 7-5 Connecting to More Than One Sensor - Setting the Sensors to Connect 12-1 Menu Tables * The [Specify sensor] and [Search unreachable sensors] menus have been eliminated. Equivalent settings can be configured in [Sensor list]. 2.1.2. Setting the sensor Select the sensors that you want to connect to from the sensor list in the Touch Finder. (Run Mode) - [Sensor list] 1 Touch the checkbox of the desired sensor to select it. * When a sensor's "IP address setting" is set to "Auto", the IP address is grayed out. When set to "Fixed", the IP address is white. * Sensors for which a connection cannot be established are shown as follows: "!" is added in front of the sensor name. IP address error. Cannot connect because there is a sensor outside the subnet with the same IP address. Change the sensor's network settings. "!!: Unknown device" Cannot recognize the sensor. It may be a non-fq device. "!!: No response" No response. Check if the Ethernet cable is connected correctly. * If sensors on the same network do not appear in [Sensor list], it may be taking a long time to detect them. Refresh the list. * The checkbox of a sensor that is not connected can be selected. When the sensor is in a connectable state, it will connect. 2.1.3. [Sensor list] menu The [Sensor list ] menu consists of the following items: Network settings: Change the sensor's network settings. Switch sensor: Apply the connection settings and change the displayed sensor. Delete sensor: Delete a sensor from the sensor list. Communication test: Check communication with the sensor. Add sensor: Add a fixed IP address to the sensor list. Refresh list: Update the sensor list with the latest information. * Menu items that cannot be used due to the sensor version or status are not shown. (2/5)

2.2. Startup display 2.2.1. Related sections of manual 1-3 Startup Display and Display Elements - Startup Display * The [Auto connect] screen and menu are eliminated. When a sensor is disconnected, the [Sensor list] screen appears. 2.2.2. Startup Display The [Sensor list] screen always appears when Auto sensor detection is OFF and the sensor to be connected is not set. The default for Auto sensor detection is ON OFF In the following cases, the [Sensor list] screen does not appear and connection takes place in the previous manner. The sensor to be connected is set "Auto sensor detection" is "ON" "Specify sensor in the "Startup display" is "ON". 2.2.3. Sensor connection wait screen When sensor connection processing starts, the sensor connection wait screen appears. If the sensor cannot be recognized or you want to change the communication setting, press the [Sensor List] button. * For the sensor list, refer to "Setting the sensor in the [Sensor list] screen". 2.3. [Sensor monitor] selector and toolbox 2.3.1. Changing the Run Mode Display Tool buttons have been added to the [Multi sensor] screen and [NG sensor] screen. [Sensor monitor] can be set to [Single sensor], [Multi sensor], or [NG sensor]. (3/5)

2.4. Displaying sensor information in [Multi sensor] screen and [Switch sensor] screen. 2.4.1. Related sections of manual 3-1 Selecting a Sensor for Configuration 7-5 Connecting to More Than One Sensor - Selecting the Display When More Than One Sensor Is Connected 2.4.2. Displaying sensor information in the screen when multiple sensors are connected The information of each of the sensors can be displayed in the [Multi sensor] screen and [Switch sensor] screen. "OFF", "IP Address", or "Sensor Name" can be selected for the information displayed. The default is "IP Address". 2.5. Live/freeze selection in the Setup Mode 2.5.1. Displaying a live/freeze image in the Setup Mode The image when you change from the Run Mode to the Setup Mode is live image A live/freeze selector button has also been added to the display settings. : Display live image. : Display freeze image. freeze image. 2.6. IP address used in PC tool 2.6.1. Related sections in manual 2-5 Setting Up Ethernet - Connecting to Sensors from a Computer Using the PC Tool 2.6.2. Selecting the IP address used in the PC Tool The IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway of the computer used with the PC Tool is displayed. If multiple IP addresses (Network Interface Card (NIC)) exist for the computer, the IP address used in the PC Tool can be selected. 1 2 (Setup Mode / Run Mode) - [TF settings] - [Ethernet] - [IP Address] The list of IP addresses of the computer that can be used in the PC Tool appears. Touch the list to select the IP address. * All connected sensors disconnect briefly and then reconnect. * If you want to change the IP address, change the network settings of the computer and then select using the procedure above. * If the list does not appear, check if the LAN cable is correctly connected. 2.7. Restoring a sensor connection 2.7.1. Related sections in manual 11-3 Basic Troubleshooting 2.7.2. Restoring the connection with a sensor If a sensor on the same network in the "Sensor list" cannot be detected and you do not know the IP address of the sensor, perform [Re-assign IP forcely]. This will forcibly change the sensor's IP address and connect the sensor. 1 2 (Run Mode) - [TF settings] - [re-assign IP forcely] Directly connect one-to-one with the sensor using the Touch Finder or the computer. Touch [re-assign IP forcely]. * This function can be used with Ver. 1.84 or later sensors. It cannot be used with any other sensors. * This function cannot be used for a connection over a router.
