About this manual The goal of this workshop is that you can relax a person or yourself to the point where his critical mind does not disturb him to access the subconscious memory banks. Once you have achieved that you can: go back to the cause of the emotional problem and correct it activate the self-healing mechanisms change the self-image (Identity) give suggestions that will be and continue to be active even after the session change the past (personal history) erase unwanted memory and erase bad habits install a new automatic pilot and stop the old one go to the soul memory bank and access past lives You will learn most of this, but even if you learn only 50% you will be able to help anyone who comes to you with a problem. And that will make all the difference. We put the best techniques together in 4 days for you to understand the basis and being able to do it on yourself (self-hypnosis) and help others (Theta coaching). You will learn more than enough, and yet it never will be enough: you will have to practice and gain experience once the workshop is over. In the workshop 90% of the time is practice and demonstrations, only 10% will be on theory or explanation. Introduction Theta Coaching is suitable for every therapist, coach and athlete, as well as for all those who want to get more out of their potential, improve their life, heal of disease or who want to help others. For example: a parent with a sick child or with a child that is experiencing difficulties in school. Theta Coaching is a very valuable addition for all those people. There are no limits, with the self hypnosis technique will train your brain and subconscious mind to achieve your goals and desired lifestyle. Theta Coaching is a synergy between NLP, Emotional Balance, Mind Techniques, self-hypnosis and other therapies. This methodology is originally developed by Dr. Med Roy Martina by synthesizing all these techniques into a practical model that is quite easy to learn with a goal to help people change their subconscious sabotage mechanisms fast and to help them gain access to their authentic self and potential. Dr.Psych. Joy Martina added her experience and wisdom to make it even better. What is (Omega) Theta Coaching? Dr. Roy Martina found that many people have negative or positive empowering beliefs that are disease- forming. With the help of Theta Coaching you can help yourself and your clients better, because you create changes fast and you get deeper into the core. Theta Coaching goes much deeper than guided meditation and most forms of hypnosis, it is a valuable addition for every Coach. Theta Coaching has a profound effect on the brains. New synaptic complexes are formed in the brain, and these create a holographic pattern for the desired outcome of the client. You can use the protocol and scripts in this manual to help your clients, family and friends, etc. in 1-on-1 sessions. You can also create your own scripts, but we advise you to stick to the models of the scripts made by Drs. Joy & Roy Martina as much as possible to increase your success ratio. The scripts and protocols The scripts consist of commands intended for the subconscious of the person you do the session with. These scripts have been developed based on years of research and experimentation to have a maximum effect. They are designed to maximally stimulate the self-healing powers of the body and program the subconscious and brains to achieve success, health, vitality, wealth and personal growth. The applications are unlimited. You can record the Theta Coaching sessions on a recorder so that clients can listen to it regularly. That should actually be a must in working with chronic illnesses, because it will increase the results immensely. There are three categories of clients: 1. After one session they experience significant changes in the quality of their life and well-being. 2. After 5 to 10 sessions obvious differences in the quality of their life and well-being. 3. After 10 to 20 sessions noticeable changes in the quality of their life and well-being. 9

With children under 12, the results are even deeper and faster. In the manual we use he, the masculine for, please adapt according to the situation! Everybody can be Theta Coached Everybody goes in and out of a state of relaxation all the time, no exceptions, but for results there are 3 ingredients: 1. Rapport. 2. Expectation. 3. Permission. You can put anyone in deep relaxation, but not everyone has given permission to be open to your suggestions during their relaxed state. By recording the sessions on a MP3 player and having the clients or yourself listen to it every day, you create an accumulative effect and this accelerates the effects. We call this Brain-Training That is also why Theta Coaching is ideal for persons with chronic disorders, like rheumatism, cancer, hypertension, chronic fatigue (ME), sleep disorders, etc. You can also record your own sessions and listen to your own voice; you will get used to it fast and it has a much deeper effect. You can also make a personal session for every client or use the standard sessions, which are very effective and influential. I advise you to not deviate too much from the standard text and to not want to do too much at the same time, because then the subconscious mind goes into overload and hence no longer absorbs as much. Keep it simple is the message and this way you ll build up your experience first before you go into a free flow. What is Self-hypnosis? Most people are familiar with meditation; there are many forms of doing that. What they have similar is that they all slow down the brain waves so one gets into a deep state of trance. The benefits have been well documented and are plenty. In self-hypnosis there is a similarity in that it also slows down the brainwaves but one is focused on specific goals, like healing, calming down the nerves, reducing pain or creating anesthesia and influencing body and mind. It is again different from visualizations and can be very effective in influencing the body and brain. In this workshop we will train you to go deeper and be able to go to Theta where you have the most impact on your body. Beta brainwaves are the fast chaotic brainwaves typically when we are awake. When we relax we start to have slower harmonic alpha waves and as we side deeper we go to theta and eventually to delta. The trick is to be aware as you go deeper and deeper. 10

Personal use We also want to remind you of the following. This manual is for personal use only. You are not permitted to distribute or pass on the sessions without permission. First and foremost because it is not smart to let an inexperienced person experiment with the subconscious of other people. That would be very irresponsible, no matter how good they might be as a therapist in every other area. Also because this training has been balanced down to the minutest details, and is hands-on above all. It seems simple, but you are being trained, in a step-by-step process, to give a good Omega Theta Coaching session and to b able to do this with Self-hypnosis all by yourself. That is especially valuable if you do not want to be a coach or therapist! We will do a lot of practice so when you leave you are competent to do it and you have trained your mind to go deep into the healing Theta state in seconds. Don t teach tricks to other people. This has no commercial reasons; it has to do with responsibility and warranting the quality. Drs. Joy & Roy Martina The Life Passion Test List 10 things which will make your life and work ideal - with these accomplished you will feel fulfilled. These are not your goals but things that you will be doing, creating, enjoying etc. and you feel passionate about. Complete the sentence: When my life is ideal I am... 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11

List here the Top 5 of your list of 10. Start with the 1 st and compare it with the 2 nd ; if I had to choose only one between these two, which one would that be? The winner goes on and you compare that one with the next one etc. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Passion Score: How much is each one present in your life right now? 0 means nothing at all, 10 means you are living it fully. 1 2 3 4 5 Where do you need more attention? What is blocking you right now? What should you do to get 10s with each one? For each of the Top 5, create 3 to 5 goals for each. Then write a paragraph on each passion (5 total). What does that look like? Describe each one in as much detail as you can: 1. 12

2. 3. 4. 5. Based on what you discover you will create a Transformational Coaching strategy to make yourself 100% congruent with the life that will bring you to the passions that live inside of you. Use this information and make it part of all your sessions. You can also test for blockages and incongruencies. 13

Part 1 Theta Coaching Relax-Trance: the goal is simple; to relax a person where they are no longer controlled by their conscious mind and can access other levels of their consciousness. Trance is a natural state of life; we go in and out of trance all the time. Practice Relax-Inductions: In this section you will learn state-of-the-art methods to bring someone quickly into a deep relaxed state. Post Session Anchor: Using the Relax-Induction is a simple thing to do. It is as simple as reading the scripts provided in this manual for you. The best way we have found to proceed is to start with the Relax-Induction for the first session and then give after-session suggestions and anchors, such as: The next time we do a Coaching session together, all I will have to do is touch your 3rd eye and say the word relax and you will instantly return to this level of relaxation or if you prefer much deeper. If that is all right with you, nod your head. Choose also a word for when you want to this by yourself such as: red silk pillow, blue sheep or red parrot as an anchor! If you have your self-hypnosis word, nod with your head, this word is not to be changed and will every time bring you into the deepest state possible. Anchor: is a stimulus that provokes a reaction on a non-conscious level. In this situation the anchor is the word relax and the drop of the hand! The anchors we will use 1. Command: Relax (commanding tone), 2. Touching the 3r d Eye, and say Relax 3. A specific symbol like: Red silk pillow, blue dotted sheep, green striped dolphin, etc. 4. Counting backwards: 5,4,3,2,1. 5. Pick up wrist and drop with Relax. 6. A specific aromatherapy (let them smell it at certain moments) Instant Relaxation using anchor: Once this suggestion has been accepted by your client, it is safe to start using any instant relaxation that uses the hand-drop and the word Relax to induce relaxation instantly. This allows you to begin using the instant relaxation without having to be too caught up in doing them perfectly. As long as you manage to drop your client s hand and say the word relax, he or she will go into some sort of relaxation. Also the touch of the 3 rd eye is very powerful. If they have been anchored on aromatherapy, this will be very useful. Relaxation Response: The more often a person goes into relaxation, the easier it gets for them to relax deeper and faster that is the reason we will practice over and over, going in and out of relaxation many times a day. Every time, give it 100%! The most important technique you will learn for yourself is to shorten your Relaxation Response. That is the time needed to go from a full-awakened state to a deep delta or theta relaxation-state. The big difference with hypnosis is that in Theta Coaching the client remains in control and is only using their imagination, they just have to pretend that they can follow the suggestions, that is all that is needed to transform the subconscious patterns of thinking and beliefs! The client is always in control and goes as far as they are willing to go! 15

Self-hypnosis: This workshop is to help you do all the techniques on yourself. By training going into deep relaxation with the help of others you will also learn to do it yourself. By giving you the specific anchors, you will be able to go deep into alpha and theta states of consciousness (level 2 &3) at your own will. This is crucial preparation to be able to influence your own subconscious mind where all your sabotages are hiding but also to go into past lives. Even if you do not desire to be a therapist you will benefit tremendously from this workshop. Tips: Sit close to your client. When you touch them make sure you do so gently. Always tell them that you will touch them before touching them! Be alert: you are responsible for preventing them from falling or being injured. If your client is standing up, be ready to catch them, and remind them beforehand to stay standing unless you mean for them to become loose and limp like a ragdoll. Boxed words/sentences In the scripts are intended as instructions for you. Do not read these words/sentences out loud to your client. Relaxation Depth Levels 1. Light relaxation: Alpha state, Awake: lethargy, relaxation, sleepy, heavy or floating feelings (normal state before falling asleep) 2. Medium relaxation: Deep alpha state, muscles totally relaxed 3. Deep relaxation: Theta state, this is the optimal state for healing and transformation. For the imagination to be able to travel to past lives and recall any memory, the client has to be able to go to Level 2, preferably level 3. That is why it is important to repeat the relaxation technique; most people will be able to do that after 3 to 4 sessions with anchors. To speed up this you can make relaxation audios with your voice to prepare the client for deeper sessions. If they listen daily for 14 days most people will be able to go to level 3 just hearing your voice. Emotional Stress Reaction: When we are relaxed our subconscious mind is open and suppressed emotions may surface. This can be quite dramatic such as crying or screaming, laughing, hyperventilating and any other unusual emotional reactions. Immediately take control/say the person s name, hold his head and strike the outer part of his forehead toward the ears (this is calming). Say his name and say: Calm down, everything is fine. You can stop crying now. (Repeat). When the client doesn t stop crying, only then bring him out of trance. Trust: You are completely free of ego when someone entrusts you with their mind, and their wish is your command. Use inflection in your voice: Intonation, rhythm, tonality and verbal exclamation marks. We make people feel good about themselves, and then they have the power to do anything. Power of Choice: It is about the Power of Choice: A desire is just a reminder that you have the power to choose what you want or what is good for you. Nothing can bother you without your consent; nobody can make you feel inferior or powerless without your exclusive consent. 16

Words frequently used: Use these words/expressions frequently: Pretend - Imagine - Make believe - Lend me your imagination - Excellent - good job - go deeper-down-down-down. Background noise: When there is any disturbance or noise, use that and say: that is the sign to go deeper into relaxation, deeper and deeper. Excellent. Any sound you hear will help you to go deeper. You are doing much better today; excellent. You are advancing very well, good job. Go deeper now; you can go deeper than last time. Feel it, imagine it, pretend it! 17

Exercise 1 Relaxation and come back to here and now Testing the ability to relax using Creative Imagination Step 1: Permission Would you like to do a Theta Coaching session with me now? Step 2: Personal Anchor What word would you like to use as an anchor for self hypnosis, choose a symbol with color such as Red silk pillow (recommended), Blue dotted Sheep, Green striped dolphin or anything else you would like. This word or symbol will help you relax fast into Theta and deep similar to what we will be doing in this workshop. Get the anchor verbalized. Step 3: Get permission to touch the person May I have permission to touch your hand, your arm, your shoulder and maybe even your forehead? Step 4: Create an anchor point When I touch this point touch the point of 3rd eye or say the word Relax, your body and mind will relax instantly and your muscles will become loose and limp, you will like this relaxed feeling and think of your colored symbol. Mention the symbol they told you or smell this (hold aroma-essence under nose). No matter how deep you go into Relaxation, you will always hear the sound of my voice and I can always awaken you by counting forward from 1 to 5, and of course I will. It will be a fun, refreshing experience for you that will help you to be more powerful than ever before! Step 5: Inducing Relaxation Now, take in a nice deep breath, hold for 5 seconds while imagining you can feel all the tension in your body and breathe out close, your eyes, and allow your body to relax, letting go all tensions... 18

Step 6: Using imagination OMEGA THETA COACHING Now, take your attention to your eyelids. Imagine for a moment that you can relax your eyelids so much that it seems like they are glued together. Just imagine to the best you can or pretend you have the power to relax so deeply, instantly, that your eyelids are so relaxed that you imagine that you cannot open them even if you try. Actually, you will notice that if you try they just won t open, so relax them now and imagine or pretend that they won t work. The more you imagine this, the deeper you will relax. Step 7: Anchoring and testing relaxation I will touch you in a moment between your eyes and as I do so, you will feel like your eyelids relaxing even more. Touch the 3rdeye and say: Relax & feel your eyelids tightening together more to the point you can imagine not being able to open them until the session is over. I will count backwards from 5 to 1, with each count you will relax more. When you smell this (hold aroma-essence under nose), you will immediately relax. Each time we count backwards from 5 to 1, you go deeper, also when you do it by yourself, you will notice it is as easy as we are doing it now. Emphasize each count with your voice, and then immediately soften your tone after the count! 5. Relax your muscles and let all tensions flow into the earth through your feet. 4. Enjoy this calm feeling of relaxation as you go deeper into relaxation. 3. Relax deeper and deeper till you are 100% sure that your eyelids are so relaxed you can t open them anymore. 2. Check to make sure they won t work... 1. Good, now stop testing, and go deeper into the relaxation. Just let go of all thoughts NOW and follow my voice into a deep, relaxed state of inner peace and know that you can go deeper now than before; each time we do this exercise you go deeper and faster than before into your relaxed-zone. I m going to do this to find out how well you have relaxed so far. So let your arm be completely relaxed, heavy like a bag of sand. Now let me do all of the lifting. Imagine being so relaxed that you have access to all of your consciousness, and you can travel through your memories like travelling through time. Just know that all you have experienced in your lives will be available to you, as you relax deeper and deeper. At this depth of relaxation there is no time, all you have ever experienced is available to you instantly. 5. Now take that feeling of relaxation to the top of your head. Good, now this time, when you send that feeling of relaxation down across your body, do it as if you could go five times deeper, to the level where there is no limits of time and you have access to all levels of your consciousness. 20

4. Now send that feeling down across your entire body... Good...... excellent... good job... 3. Relax now, even more, deeper and deeper, totally relaxed. 2. Every time we do this you go faster and easier... deeper and deeper. Very good, you are doing well and you are learning to relax at your command. 1. Exercise 2 Self-hypnosis with guidance Step 1: Permission Would you like to do a guided Self-hypnosis session with me now? Step 2: Personal Anchor What word is your preferred anchor for self-hypnosis? (They should already have a symbol with color such as Red silk pillow, Blue dotted Sheep, Green striped dolphin or anything else.) Step 3: Get permission to touch the person In order to assist you may I have permission to touch your hand, your arm, your shoulder and maybe even your forehead? Wait for a yes. Ok, thank you, let s begin with closing your eyes. Step 4: Create an anchor point when I touch this point touch the point of 3rd eye say the word Relax, your body and mind will relax instantly and your muscles will become loose and limp, you like this relaxed feeling and now think of. Mention the symbol they told you, Relax deeper while smelling this soothing aroma.. (hold the aroma essence under their nose) that helps you to go deeper into this peace and quiet that you enjoy so much..very well. No matter how deep you go into Self-hypnosis, you will always hear the sound of my voice and you can always awaken yourself by counting forward from 1 to 5. It will be a fun, refreshing experience for you that will help you to be able to do this all by yourself! Step 5: Inducing Relaxation Start counting silently backwards from 5 to 1 and with each breath you relax even more, while visualizing the Mention the symbol they told you and touch the 3rd eye and say relax, deeper and deeper. Very well, allow your body to relax, letting go all tensions... you can feel all the tension leaving your body with each breath you let out. Relax even more as you smell this, (hold aroma-essence under nose), it soothes you and allows you to go deeper and deeper 23

Step 6: Using imagination OMEGA THETA COACHING Now, take your attention to your eyelids. Imagine for a moment that you can relax your eyelids so much that it seems like they are glued together. Just imagine to the best you can or pretend you have the power to relax so deeply, instantly, that your eyelids are so relaxed that you imagine that you cannot open them even if you try. Actually, you will notice that if you try they just won t open, so relax them now and imagine or pretend that they won t work. The more you imagine this, the deeper you will relax. Step 7: Anchoring and testing relaxation Now silently count backwards from 5 to 1, with each count you relax more. Wait for 5 seconds Very well, each time you count backwards from 5 to 1, you go deeper, this time we will do it together. Emphasize each count with your voice, and then immediately soften your tone after the count! 5. Relax your muscles and let all tensions flow into the earth through your feet. 4. Enjoy this calm feeling of relaxation as you go deeper into relaxation. 3. Relax deeper and deeper till you are 100% sure that your eyelids are so relaxed you can t open them anymore. 2. Check to make sure they won t work... 1. Good, now stop testing, and go deeper into the relaxation. Just let go of all thoughts NOW and allow yourself to sink into a deep, relaxed state of inner peace and know that you can go deeper now than before; each time you do self-hypnosis you go deeper and faster than before into your relaxed-zone. By focusing on your Relax anchor Mention the symbol they told you, you go deeper and deeper, very well, you are doing a great job mastering self hypnosis. The next time you do self-hypnosis, all you will have to do is focus on your symbol Mention the symbol they told you or imagine being touched here Touch the 3rdeye and repeat the word say it slowly Relax-relax-relax-relax-relax as you breathe in and out and you will instantly return to this level of relaxation, or deeper. Every time you want to you can bring yourself in this deep state of relaxed feeling by using your anchor symbol Mention the symbol they told you. Also you will notice counting backwards from 5 to 1 relaxes you instantly to a deep level. Just do it now, count backwards silently while you slowly breathe in and out wait 5 breaths very well, enjoy this deep feeling of being relaxed as with each breath you go deeper and deeper. Also this smell will bring you instantly to a deep feeling off calmness and ease.relax at your pace even deeper. Step 8: Deepening the relaxation Imagine being in an elevator that is going slowly but surely down.. down. Down.. and feel you are going deeper now; feel how wonderful it is to just relax and go deeper and deeper. Allow Each time you do this you go deeper than before. Very good. The deeper you go the more access you have to your true power. Now count down from 5 to 1 slowly and imagine you can see the numbers on 24

Exercise 3 Handclasp Test: the power of imagination Do again exercise one and after step 10 add the following as step 11 and coming back as step 12 Step 11 At the count of 3 interlock your hands together and stretch them straight in front of you, locking your elbows. Open your eyes now and focus on the upper knuckle of your thumb; that s right, keep your attention on your thumb, and squeeze your palms together and notice they become more tightly interlocked, imagine that you press all the air out from between the palms of your hands. Just pretend or make believe they are now stuck together, no air between, like two magnets locked together... They are so tight now that they become numb; they are so tight now that nothing, not even you, can get them apart. As I count from 5 to 1, at 5 you close your eyes and you squeeze your hands tighter and tighter as if a clasp is pushing them together so tightly that you will not be able to open them at 1... The more you squeeze, the more they stick together. When I get to 1 you will try to open them, but you will not be able to. The harder you try, the more they will stick together until I tell you to release them. Are you ready? If so, nod with your head. 5... Close your eyes and notice your hands are tightening and locking more and more. Let this thought roll in your mind: My hands are locking, my hands are locking. 4. Pretend now,... that they are glued together with power glue, squeeze the air out, feel the hands tightening more and more, they are tighter and tighter, locking becoming like one hand glued together with the strongest glue you can imagine. 3... Tighter and tighter, imagine now that they are locked; let that thought be the only thought in your mind: they are locked, locked good push his hands together while saying: Tighter and tighter, glued together. 2... Imagine they are made from wood, one inseparable piece of wood... that is right, they are now one piece, inseparable. 1... You try to open them but you cannot. Try, but you cannot... It is not important if the person succeeds in doing it or not, it is training the mind to use your imagination! These exercises are part of the training to be able to go to levels of deeper relaxation. Each time you do a session you are training your brain.
