Descriptin 1. Cmpact cntrl unit with 4 general purpse inputs 2. Each input can be cnfigured fr digital r analg input signals 3. Mmentary switches r 100kΩ ptentimeters are cnnected directly t the MC+ 4. The fllwing standard cmmands can be assigned t switching actins: dim up, dim dwn, ff, recall min, recall max, gt scene 1-16, direct arcpwer in % as well as predefined and self-cnfigured macrs ( cmmand sequences). 5. Clur temperature adjustment is supprted. Implemented DT8-cmmands are STEP COO- LER and STEP WARMER 6. Fr analg inputs the input signal is cnverted directly int a arc pwer level. The cnversin can be triggered peridically r by a predefined event.

7. AA switching actin r a change in the input vltage signal (>2%) can be selected as trigger event fr the cnversin. 8. The MC+ als has an adjustable pwer-up -functin. In ther wrds a user-defined cmmand can be sent n pwer up (e.g. after a pwer failure) 9. Individual addresses (1-64), grup addresses (1-16) r bradcast can be set as destinatin. 10. Cnfiguratin can be set up with Cckpit and -USB interface 11. Multiple MC+ mdules can be used n the same -line Addressing and Cnfiguratin Via a -USB interface the -Cckpit sftware tl can cmmunicate with the MC+. S the desired functinality can be cnfigured easily n PC. The -Cckpit sftware is a free cnfiguratin tl fr systems. Hence standard ballasts can be addressed and cnfigured as well as the MC+1. Cckpit and -USB Interface are required fr cnfiguratin nly and can be remved fr standard peratin (see typical installatin drawing). Fr mre details check the instructin manual f the Switch, the Tutrial and the descriptin f the Cckpit. Fr simple applicatins the factry settings can be sufficient (dim&switch functin). In this case there is n need fr a USB interface and a cnfiguratin tl. The factry setting is described belw. Destinatin Address: Bradcast Input T1: digital, switch t last recent level Input T2: digital, dim up Input T3: digital, switch ff Input T4: digital, dim dwn Adjustable ality With the help f the -Cckpit the MC+ can be cnfigured. Any input can be cnfigured fr analgue r digital input signals. When used as analgue input the input signal is either cnverted directly t a dim level r be prcessed by a threshld algrithm and handled like a digital input signal. When cnfigured as analgue input an ffset value fr the input value range can be defined. Belw this value the utput is 0, furthermre the trigger fr the cnversin can be defined. Optins fr the trigger are peridic cnversin r event based trigger. Fr each digital input a high level n flexibility and individualism is ffered due t the parameters available. Switching mde, destinatin addresses and cmmands belng t the settings fr a mmentary switch. By means f the switching mde different actins fr brief and lng depress time can be defined fr the mmentary switches fr miscellaneus applicatins. The functins vary frm simple push buttns r tggle push buttns via lighting based push buttn dimming keys t standard stairwell functin with cnfigurable delay time.

A cmplete verview is given in the table belw. If the pushbuttn is pressed, cmmand X is sent and the runn time starts. Once the run-n time elapsed, is sent. Briefly pressing the push buttn and release will send cmmand X Hlding dwn the push buttn will send repeated Briefly pressing the push buttn and release will send cmmand X and thereafter repeatly (withut lng press)

In additin t the switching mde the reactin n a depress actin has t be defined. It cnsists f a cmmand and up t 4 destinatin addresses. Individual addresses (1-64), grup addresses (1-16) r bradcast can be set as destinatin address. In the table belw a summary f the cmmands available is given. Fr mre details n the selectin f predefined macrs and the ability t create custm macr files check the manual f the -Cckpit cnfiguratin sftware. Anther cnfigurable feature is the pwerup -functin. This is a user-defined reactin n a pwer up. The fllwing ptins are available fr the Switch Crss: n actin OFF g t scene 0-15 T take the startup-time f -ballasts int accunt a delay time can be cnfigured between pwer up and the start f transmissin f the selected cmmand. This functinality f the MC+ can thus be interpreted as an extensin fr cntrl gears. Althugh thse ballasts have a POWER ON LEVEL fr mains pwer up, they dn t have a predefined dim level fr bus vltage return. With the help f this feature the SYSTEM FAILURE LEVEL (which is set at a bus vltage lss) can be verruled. Slave Mde The MC+ ffers the pssibility t read ut the state f the switches and the analgue values f the inputs. Hence the mdule can be used fr evaluating analgue and digital input signals nly. Instructin Set The MC+ perates as cntrl device n the -line and transmits the predefined -cmmands when a mmentary switch is pressed. It is based n the standard fr Cntrl Gears (IEC 62386-102). In additin t the cmmands mentined abve the special cmmand fr writing the data transfer register and cmmand 47 (STORE DTR AS FADE RATE) are implemented. Furthermre the ACTIVATE cmmand and the DT8- cmmands STEP COOLER and STEP WARMER are used fr clur temperature cntrl.
