IND AS will be applicable from the next financial year from April 2016. Companies whose equity or debt securities are listed or are in the process of listing on any stock exchange in India or outside India and having net worth of INR 500 crore or more will move to IND AS from April 1, 2016. However, companies whose securities are listed or in the process of listing on SME exchanges will not be required to follow IND AS. Speakers Anand Subramanian - Partner, Deloitte Anand is a Director in the AERS Practice in Mumbai and is also part of the Global IFRS & Offering Services ( GIOS ) India. Anand is experienced in IFRS, US GAAP and SEC regulations and has worked with foreign private issuers in India and United Kingdom. In India, Anand has worked extensively providing assurance and advisory services to the country s biggest multi-national companies under IFRS and US GAAP including SEC registrants and has handled PCAOB inspections. Anand has also worked in London where he was involved in providing advice and assistance in the application of IFRS and SEC regulations in connection with US and Europe capital market transactions and was involved in the SECPS reviews of foreign private issuers which included financial institutions and telecom companies. Anand has been with Deloitte for approximately 13 years, has a Master s Degree in Commerce and is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in India. Aviral Jain Director, Duff & Phelps Aviral is a director in the Valuation Advisory Services group of Duff & Phelps based in New Delhi. Aviral is responsible for the overall management of the North India practice. Aviral joined Duff & Phelps in 2015 through the firm s acquisition of American Appraisal. He is a financial advisory professional with about a decade of experience in valuation and corporate finance. His experience includes valuation of business enterprises, intangible assets including intellectual property, and financial instruments.
