Feel Better Survival Kit & Greeting Card Designed By: Monika A Davis January 2014 Make this small Feel Better survival kit that holds a chap stick and a pack of tissue paper. This is the perfect little package for those sick days when you need those items in easy reach. This little box will look great on your desk. Great for a stamp camp, or as a class project. Instructions Step 1 Cut a 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 piece of Crumb Cake card stock. Score at 1 on all four sides. Next cut a thin V shape right on the score mark on all four flaps (as shown in Step1b). Put Sticky Strips on the small flaps and adhere the box. This will fit an average size tissue pack.
Step 1a Step 1b Step 1c Step 1d Step 1 Step 2 Cut a 4-3/4 x 8-1/2 piece of Crumb Cake card stock. Score at 2-3/4, 3-3/4 and 4-3/4. Fold the score lines in a valley fold (down). Next mark two 1-1/2 lines 2 from the top and bottom edge in the middle of the valley fold. Fold the small piece in a mountain fold (up).
Step 2a Step 2b Step 2c Step 2d Step 3 Turn the cover so the inside is facing up and put Sticky Strip on one of the scored panels. Glue down the piece. Then turn the cover back, so the outside is facing up, and add a piece of Sticky Strip to the front and the bottom of the cover, right in the middle. Cut an 18-1/2 long Crumb Cake 3/8 taffeta ribbon and adhere the ribbon to the cover. Step 3a Step 3b
Step 3c Step 3d Step 4 Cut a 4-1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Whisper White card stock. Stamp the leaves image with Gumball Green ink from the Fabulous Florets stamp set. Next stamp get well soon with Soft Suede ink from Thoughts & Prayers stamp set. Then stamp the Off the Grid image with Crumb Cake ink. Sponge the edges of the panel with Soft Suede ink using a Sponge Dauber. Adhere the panel to the front cover. Step 4a Step 4b Step 4c Step 5 Cut a 2 x 5 piece of Calypso Coral card stock and rub it with Embossing Buddy to eliminate static and prevent extra embossing powder from sticking to the paper. Then stamp two flower images with VersaMark ink from the Fabulous Florets stamp set. Pour white Stampin Emboss powder on the flower images and heat emboss them with your Heat Tool. Cut the flowers out. Step 6 Punch two circles out of So Saffron scrap card stock with the ½ Circle punch. Make tiny cuts along the edges with your Paper Snips and place a Rhinestone in the middle of the circle. Attach the circles to the flowers with Glue Dots or Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Adhere one of the flowers to the white panel, on top of the stamped leaves.
Step 6a Step 6b Step 6c Step 7 Adhere the box to the inside of the cover. You can also adhere the right side of the box to the cover. Step 7 Step 8 Take a chap stick and measure the wrapper on it. Cut a 2-1/16 x 2 (or the size of your Chap Stick wrapper) piece of Gumball Green card stock. Stamp the Off the Grid image with Gumball Green ink. Wrap the Chap Stick with Sticky Strip and attach the stamped piece to the Chap Stick. Add couple of Rhinestones to the front panel.
Step 8a Step 8b Step 8 Greeting Card Instructions Step 1 Cut a 5 x 2-7/8 piece of Whisper White card stock. Stamp the leaves image with Gumball Green ink from the Fabulous Florets stamp set. Next stamp get well soon with Soft Suede ink from Thoughts & Prayers stamp set. Then stamp Off the Grid image with Crumb Cake ink. Sponge the edges of the panel with Soft Suede ink using a Sponge Dauber. Cut a 5 x 7/8 piece of Gumball Green strip and adhere it to the white panel with regular Scotch tape. Adhere the second cut out flower to the white panel, on top of the stamped leaves. Step1a Step 1b Step 1c
Step 2 Cut a 6 long Crumb Cake 3/8 taffeta ribbon and attach it to the card front. Then add a tiny strip of SNAIL adhesive to the ribbon, about ½ from the bottom, and adhere some white yarn to it. Either bunch up the white yarn or attach it threaded in a figure 8 format. Then cut a 5 long piece of Calypso Coral Baker s Twine and make a bow out of it. Adhere the bow to a designer button, and adhere the button on top of the white yarn with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Add couple of Rhinestones to the front panel. Step 2 Step 3 Cut an 11 x 4-1/4 piece of Whisper White card stock and fold it in half. Adhere the card front to the white base card.
