Page 2 Dear guild friends, Spring has defiantly sprung and summer is close behind. And believe it or not the quilt show is right around the corner. Sooooo it's time to get out that pattern and fabrics you have been planning to start for the quilt show. I know it's hard to think October and fall when spring has just began but time seems to sweep by so let's get started. The show will be The Splendor of Flowers, bright, pretty and everyone loves them. Just got back from Portland, Oregon and quilt market and it seems the trend is Modern Quilts and lots of art quilts, so fun and so easy. Maybe it's time for you to try something new maybe check out the new patterns for modern quilts at your local quilt store. It's always fun to get out of a rut and try new things, be brave and begin an art quilt. Using no ruler is very appealing. Hope everyone is well and having a wonderful start to the summer. Our prayers go out to Viola Kelly. Hope she is up and around soon. Respectfully, Gail
