C2: Functin f the right menu buttn, cntext-dependent The hand-held transmitter is perated using the buttns (4) r via the menu structure in the display using the navigatin buttns (3) n,, }, ~ and OK. 4.1 First steps i Befre using the hand-held transmitter, it must be cnnected t the switching, dimmer and Venetian blind actuatrs that are t be perated in the system. These steps are dcumented in the sectin "Cmmissining". Cautin! Only electrically skilled peple may perfrm wrk n electrical systems. Inserting the battery Befre first cmmissining, the enclsed battery must be inserted in the device. i Only use the prescribed battery type. D nt insert any ther buttn cells. Keep the cntacts f batteries and device free f grease. Open the battery cmpartment (6) n the rear side. Apply the battery t the psitive cntact f the battery hlder. Observe plarity: The psitive ple f the battery must be at the tp. Press gently n the battery t snap it in. Clse battery cmpartment. Charging the battery Use a device with a USB-A cnnectin fr charging, e.g. n a PC, r use a standard USB charging device. The enclsed battery has been inserted in the device. Cnnect the hand-held transmitter with the USB device using the enclsed USB cable. During a charging peratin, the charging display (A3) displays a prgress bar. Once a battery symbl appears here, the battery has been charged. i The charging cradle can als be used t charge the battery (accessry). Switching n the hand-held transmitter Press any buttn n the hand-held transmitter. i T activate the hand-held transmitter frm Standby mde, it is sufficient t mve it r shake it lightly. Switching ff the hand-held transmitter Select "Settings" and press OK. Select "Turn OFF device" and press OK. i The hand-held transmitter cannt be switched ff during charging. The message "Mains peratin" appears in the fter. 4.2 Basic functins Navigatin and selectin The hand-held transmitter is perated using the functin keys (4) r via the menu structure in the display using the navigatin buttns (3) and menu buttns (2): n mves the cursr upwards. mves the cursr dwnwards. }, ~ allw the adjustment f values. OK selects a highlighted menu item. Main menu The fllwing submenus are available in the main menu: - "Channels": Operatin f individual hand-held transmitter channels. j00 3/18

- "Scenes": Recalling and saving f scenes. - "Buttn lck": Lcks the buttns f the hand-held transmitter. - "Prgram": Opens the prgramming menu. The user can set the entries in the main menu and add t them using user-specific lists. Lists, channels and scenes can be named freely (see chapter 4.5. Setting up the hand-held transmitter). In the main menu, the menu buttns (2) have the functins "All On" and "All Off" assigned t them. Prgramming menu The fllwing submenus are available in the prgramming menu: - "Channels": Cnnect r discnnect hand-held transmitter channels and actuatrs; rename hand-held transmitter channels. - "Scenes": Integratin f actuatrs int scenes; renaming f scenes; remval f actuatrs frm scenes. - "Lists": Cmpilatin f user-specific lists cntaining hand-held transmitter channels and scenes. - "Buttn assignment": Assignment f hand-held transmitter channels t the functin keys (4). - "Settings": Opens the Settings menu. - "Advanced startup": Opens the cmmissining f the hand-held transmitter with the enet server. Settings menu. - "Hme screen": Cnfigures the main menu. - "Display": Setting f fnt size, language, display, brightness and active display time. - "Date/time": Setting f date and time; autmatic summer/winter time change-ver - "Factry Settings": Resetting f the entire device t the as-delivered state. - "Inf": Infrmatin n the hardware and sftware versin. - "Turn OFF device": Switching the device ff. Status LED As sn as a buttn is pressed r released, the status LED (7) first signals radi transmissin - LED turns red fr 3 secnds and then the actuatr status/grup status - LED turns green fr 3 secnds: At least ne actuatr is switched n, r ne Venetian blind is nt in the tp end psitin - LED remains ff: All the actuatrs are switched ff r the blinds are all in the upper end psitin r - if there is n status message frm an actuatr - a transmissin errr. - The LED rapidly flashes red fr 5 secnds: The status message f at least ne actuatr is missing 4.3 Operating actuatrs with rckers The functin keys (4) allw direct access t the mst imprtant functins. The user can freely select the assignment frm the saved cnnectins. Operating light Switch n: Brief press f left buttn. Switch ff: Brief press f right buttn. Dim brighter: Lng press f left buttn. The dimming prcess ends when the buttn is released. Dim darker: Lng press f right buttn. The dimming prcess ends when the buttn is released. Operating blind Mve Venetian blind upwards: Lng press f left buttn. Mve Venetian blind dwnwards: Lng press f right buttn. j00 4/18

Operating switch actuatr Press the right r left buttn: The lad is switched n fr the duratin f the buttn-press. i The maximum actuatin length is 60 secnds. Recalling scenes Press the scene buttn briefly. Actuatrs switch t the saved scene values. Changing scene Press the scene buttn briefly. Actuatrs switch t the saved scene value. Set new scene values. Press scene buttn fr lnger than 4 secnds. Actuatrs first switch t the saved scene value and save the new scene value after 4 secnds. Dimming a scene The dimmer actuatrs in a recalled scene can be dimmed, althugh the brightness differences between the individual dimmer actuatrs remain. The master dimming functin must be assigned t a rcker (see chapter 4.5. Setting up the hand-held transmitter). Recall a scene - either using the scene menu r a functin key. Dim brighter: Lng press f the left master dimming buttn. Dim darker: Lng press f the right master dimming buttn. 4.4 Operating the hand-held transmitter Operating actuatrs with the channel menu The "Channels" menu ffers direct access t all 24 hand-held transmitter channels, irrespective f whether r nt actuatrs are cnnected. Select "Channels" and press OK. Select the desired hand-held transmitter channel. Switch n: Brief press f ~ buttn. Switch ff: Brief press f } buttn. Tggle: Brief press f OK buttn. Dim brighter: Lng press f ~ buttn. Dim darker: Lng press f } buttn. Mve Venetian blind dwnwards: Lng press f } buttn. Mve Venetian blind upwards: Lng press f ~ buttn. Stp Venetian blind: Shrt press f } r ~ buttn. Return t main menu: Press the left menu buttn "Back". Operating actuatrs with the list menu When set up, lists can cntain selected hand-held transmitter channels r scenes and be given sensible names accrding t the requirements f the peratr (see chapter 4.5. Setting up the hand-held transmitter). Select the desired list in the menu and press OK. Select the desired hand-held transmitter channel. Operatin takes place with the } and ~ buttns. j00 5/18

Return t main menu: Press the left menu buttn "Back". Save switch-n brightness A switch-n brightness can be set and saved fr dimmer actuatrs. Select "Channels" and press OK. Select the desired hand-held transmitter channel. Set required switch-n brightness. Press the right menu buttn "Open". Select "Set Startvalue" and press OK. The light is briefly switched ff and switched n again t the switch-n brightness. Switchn brightness is saved. Return t main menu: Press the left menu buttn "Back" fr apprx. 1 secnd. Scene menu: Recall scenes The "Scenes" menu ffers 16 scenes, irrespective f whether r nt actuatrs are cnnected, as well as the functins 'Channel lck' and 'Lck-ut prtectin'. Select "Scenes" and press OK. Select the desired scene and press OK. The message "Scene called" appears in the fter. Return t main menu: Press the left menu buttn "Back". Scene menu: Changing a scene Call up the scene t be changed. Change the active scene as desired. Return t the scene menu. Select the desired scene and press the right menu buttn "Open". Select "Stre scene" and press "Save". The message "Stre scene" appears in the fter. Return t main menu: Press the left menu buttn "Back" fr apprx. 1 secnd. Activating and remving a buttn lck The buttn lck lcks all the buttns f the hand-held transmitter against peratin. Activating the buttn lck: Open the main menu, select the menu item "Buttn lck" and press OK. All the push-buttn functins f the hand-held transmitter are disabled. The display indicates this state. Remving a buttn lck: Press the right menu buttn "Unlck" fr apprx. 3 secnds. 4.5 Setting up the hand-held transmitter Creating lists Lists allw quick access t frequently used hand-held transmitter channels r scenes. Lists can be accessed using apprpriate names in the main menu. The hand-held transmitter is cnnected t all the actuatrs that are t be perated. Select "Lists" and press OK. Select the desired list and press OK. Select "Assign functin" and press OK. j00 6/18

The list with all the available hand-held transmitter channels and scenes appears in the display. Select the hand-held transmitter channels and scenes, ne after anther. Cnfirm each selectin with OK. Selected entries are indicated by >. Saving a list: Press the right muse-buttn "Save". The message "Stre list" appears in the fter. Exiting a list: Press the left menu buttn "Back". Renaming a list A list name can cntain a maximum f 15 characters. Select "Lists" and press OK. Select the desired list and press OK. Select "Rename list" and press OK. The "Edit text" windw appears in the display. Enter the list name (see chapter "Entering texts"). Saving an entry: Press the right muse-buttn "Save". The message "Stre list" appears in the fter. Exiting "Edit text": Press the right menu buttn "Back". Arranging a list Users can srt the entries within a list hwever they wish. Functins must be assigned befre a list is srted. Select "Lists" and press OK. Select the desired list and press OK. Select "Arrange list" and press OK. The list with all the assigned hand-held transmitter channels and scenes appears in the display. If the list is empty, n functins are assigned. Using the n r buttns, select a list entry. Cnfirm the selectin with OK. The selected entry is indicated with <>. Using the } r ~ buttns, mve the selected entry and press OK. The highlighting <> disappears. Once the list has been srted as required, press the right menu buttn "Save". The message "Stre list" appears in the fter. Exiting a list: Press the left menu buttn "Back". Cnnecting the functin keys with the hand-held transmitter channel The functin keys (4) allw direct access t the mst imprtant functins. Fr individual handheld transmitter channels, buttns next t ne anther are cmbined t frm a rcker. The hand-held transmitter is cnnected t all the actuatrs that are t be perated. Select "Buttn assignment" and press OK. Select the desired buttn - 1, 2 r 3 - and press OK. Select the desired functin channel, scene, master dimming r "n functin". Assigning a channel: Select the desired channel and press OK. j00 7/18

Assigning a scene: Select the left r right buttn and press OK. Select the desired scene and press OK. A message appears in the fter, stating that the functin is being saved. The selected entry is indicated with >. Exiting the selectin windw: Press the left menu buttn "Back". Entering texts The "Edit text" windw appears when hand-held transmitter channels, scenes r lists are t be renamed. It cntains an entry line and three selectin lines in the text area. The selectin lines prvide the letters A...Z, the numerals 0...9 and sme special characters. Selecting and entering characters: In the selectin lines, mark the desired characters and press OK. The selected character appears in the entry line. Switching between upper and lwer-case letters: Highlight the character ğ and press OK. Deleting r crrecting the mst recently entered character: In the selectin line, highlight the character Ğ and press OK. Selecting entries fr the main menu Select "Settings" and press OK. Select "Hme screen" and press OK. Select "Select" and press OK. Select the desired entries and press OK. The selected entry is indicated with >. Return t main menu: Press the left menu buttn "Back" fr apprx. 1 secnd. The selected entries are available in the main menu. i The "Prgramming" entry is always available and cannt be deactivated. 4.6 Settings Setting the fnt size Select "Settings" and press OK. Select "Display" and press OK. Select "Fnt size" and press OK. Depending n requirements, select the fnt size "Small" r "Big". The text area is shwn in the selected fnt size. The selectin is indicated with >. Return t main menu: Press the left menu buttn "Back" fr apprx. 1 secnd. Selecting a language Select "Settings" and press OK. Select "Display" and press OK. Select "Language" and press OK. Select the desired language and press OK. The text area is shwn in the selected language. The selectin is indicated with >. Selecting the display Select "Settings" and press OK. Select "Display" and press OK. Select "Inverse display" and press OK. The display is inverted - bright text n dark backgrund r vice-versa. The selectin is indicated with >. Return t main menu: Press the left menu buttn "Back" fr apprx. 1 secnd. Setting the display brightness The display brightness can be set in 16 levels. Select "Settings" and press OK. Select "Display" and press OK. Select "Brightness". Increase display brightness: Press the ~ buttn. Reduce display brightness: Press the } buttn. Return t main menu: Press the left menu buttn "Back" fr apprx. 1 secnd. Set active display time The active display time determines the time, after which the display switches t energy-saving mde and switches ff. The backlighting switches ff after half f the set time. Select "Settings" and press OK. Select "Display" and press OK. Select "Active display time". Increase active display time: Press the ~ buttn. Decrease active display time: Press the } buttn. 5 Infrmatin fr electrically skilled persns 5.1 Fitting and electrical cnnectin Munting the charging cradle Figure 3: Charging cradle fr hand-held transmitter - Rear view The ptinal charging cradle (accessry) gives the hand-held transmitter its permanent place. The charging cradle can be perated when munted n a flat surface as a table-tp device r munted n the wall. When munting it n the wall, use a screw with a screw head < 8 mm, e.g. 3.0 30. Screw spacing 60 mm. Selecting a suitable munting lcatin near t a scket r n a flush-munted USB pwer supply. Cuntersink the screws int the wall t apprx. 3 mm. D nt break ut the munting lcks. Place the charging cradle nt the munted screws and fix them by applying slight dwnward pressure. Cnnect the charging cradle with the USB pwer supply. 5.2 Cmmissining DANGER! Electrical shck when live parts are tuched. Electrical shcks can be fatal. During cmmissining, cver the parts carrying vltage n radi transmitters and actuatrs and in their surrunding area. Cnnecting the hand-held transmitter channel with the actuatr i Up t 10 radi actuatrs can be cnnected t a transmitter in a single step. Select "Channels" and press OK. Select the desired hand-held transmitter channel and press OK. Select "Teach chanel" and press OK. Status LED (7) flashes red. The hand-held transmitter is in prgramming mde fr apprx. 1 minute. j00 10/18

Switch the actuatr channels t prgramming mde (see actuatr instructins). The hand-held transmitter signals the number f actuatr channels fund. Press the right menu buttn "Teach". The status LED lights up fr apprx. 5 secnds. The selected hand-held transmitter channel is cnnected t the actuatr. The hand-held transmitter and actuatr exit the prgramming mde autmatically. i The All On and All Off buttns f the hand-held transmitter are cnnected t the actuatr autmatically as sn as the first cnnectin t a radi transmitter takes place. i If the status LED f the radi transmitter flashes 3 times at 1-secnd intervals fr apprx. 5 secnds, then the prgramming peratin was nt successful. The actuatr is utside radi range, nt in prgramming mde r there are radi faults. i If the status LED f the actuatr flashes 3 times at 1-secnd intervals fr apprx. 5 secnds, then the prgramming peratin was nt successful. All the memry lcatins in the actuatr r radi transmitter are ccupied. i T terminate prgramming mde early, press the left menu buttn "Back". Renaming a hand-held transmitter channel Select "Channels" and press OK. Select the desired channel and press OK. Select "Rename channel" and press OK. The "Edit text" windw appears in the display. Enter a new name (see chapter "Setting up the hand-held transmitter", "Entering texts"). Saving an entry: Press the right muse-buttn "Save". The message "Text stred" appears in the fter. Exiting "Edit text": Press the left menu buttn "Back". Discnnecting the cnnectin between a hand-held transmitter channel and an actuatr The cnnectin between a hand-held transmitter channel and an individual actuatr is discnnected by repeating the cnnectin steps: Select "Channels" and press OK. Select the desired hand-held transmitter channel and press OK. Select "Teach chanel" and press OK. Status LED (7) flashes red. The hand-held transmitter is in prgramming mde fr apprx. 1 minute. Switch the actuatr channels t prgramming mde (see actuatr instructins). The hand-held transmitter signals the number f actuatr channels fund. Press the right menu buttn "Teach". The status LED flashes quickly fr apprx. 5 secnds. The selected hand-held transmitter channel is discnnected frm the actuatr. The hand-held transmitter and actuatr exit the prgramming mde autmatically. Discnnecting the cnnectin between a hand-held transmitter channel and all the actuatr channels Select "Channels" and press OK. Select the desired hand-held transmitter channel and press OK. Receiver des nt react, status LED displays a transmissin errr. Status LED flashes red quickly fr 5 secnds. Cause 1: Radi range exceeded. Structural bstacles reduce the range. Insert a radi repeater. Cause 2: Actuatr is nt ready fr peratin. Check the actuatr and mains vltage. Cause 3: There are radi faults, e.g. thrugh utside radi.
