6 CONCEPT General lighting The primary aim of general lighting is to provide an overall illumination to a room or area to allow families, friends, colleagues to see and walk safely. On this ground, the XOOMINAIRE family has been designed taking three concepts into account. Task lighting Complementary to general lighting fixtures, task lighting luminaires are designed to assist the accomplishment of a tasks by delivering a precise and comfortable light distribution while minimizing its glare to the persons carrying out their activity. Thanks to application specific optics, XOOMINAIRE luminaires fulfill this key requirement and embrace the following guidelines. Guide and inspire By blending into any architectural concept while delivering wide and pleasant light distribution. Enlighten through light By illuminating the work surface with an appropriate luminance the work on a certain task is supported.
