Just Takes 2 Block 11 Quilt 517 Instructions The schoolhouse block is made using two methods of construction: freezer paper templates and rotary cutting. The freezer paper technique will be an easier way to handle the angled pieces of the house, while rotary cutting is certainly the best way to deal with the straight pieces. Freezer paper templates Make freezer paper templates of A, D, H,I and J. NOTE: These templates have been reversed or your block would be turned in the opposite direction. Iron templates A, D and J to the wrong side of the background (white) fabric Iron templates H and I to the wrong side of the color (red) fabric Rotary cut the pieces by adding ¼ inch seam allowance to each side of the freezer paper template. Leave the freezer paper on the fabric. Rotary Cutting * optional templates are provided Background (white) cut one 2.5 X 4.5 inch rectangle (C) two 1.5 X 1.5 inch squares (B) two 1.5 X 5.5 inch rectangles (E) three 1.5 X 2.5 inch rectangles (F) Color (red) cut one 1.5 X 3.5 inch rectangle (G) two 1.5 X 1.5 inch squares (B) two 1.5 X 5.5 inch rectangles (E) five 1.5 X 2.5 inch rectangles (F) H I J D Freezer paper templates A Assembly 1.
