Where the APC fits - Commerce A 10 year partnership between industry and government to build UK capability through the research, development and industrialisation of Low Carbon Propulsion Technology s. Industry 500m Government 500m Invest in promising products, processes and people over the next 10 years. Encourage collaboration between SMEs, vehicle manufacturers and their suppliers. Enable advanced propulsion technologies to be ready for on and off road applications: turning technologies into products. Support technology developers to drive innovation. Enable projects that drive investment in the UK. Embed expertise and know-how. Work with existing providers to deliver a complete propulsion development infrastructure. Act as a channel for communication and implementation of the strategies and road maps of the Automotive Council. Creating Value for Money, successfully matching private and public investment.

SME Support - Technology Developer Accelerator Programme COLLABORATION Pilot programme aimed predominately at SMEs Focused on early stage mentoring of Technology Developers Grant funded programme Target = readiness for IDP / Customer / APC competitions 22 Initial applicants, 10 selected by the APC / BIS team for inclusion in the programme 3 Stage Process i. Concept definition ii. Business Plan iii. Characterisation Programme to run through 2015 with review Q4 to determine longer term viability
