Sell STEREO! Guitarists wh run DSP based/ synth stere rigs (Pds, GR- 55, etc.) WHEN DEMOING DXR: 1. Cnnect a ipd, iphne, etc. with a stere mini jack t either 1/4 r RCA L/R t the DXR inputs 2 r 3. A stere dem will always ffer the best sund, s if yu can take the Bme t set the DXR up in matching pairs DO THAT! T dem tw speakers use the LINK OUT feature. Cnnect at the les/right inputs (2 and 3), then cnnect with XLR t the secnd DXR and engage the LINK OUT buin n the back. If a stere set up is nt available plug int les/right inputs 2 r 3 and dem a single speaker. Set the D CONTOUR t FOH/MAIN fr the audi dem. 2. In almst every case the ludest yu really need have t Cnnect t the either #2 (1/4 line input) r #3 (RCA type input). set the levels n the back f the speaker fr an effecbve in- stre dem is NOMINAL (0 n the LEVEL cntrls at the input as seen n the right). Nminal shuld be lud enugh t get the pint acrss that this speaker can really deliver SPL. Use an XLR type micrphne cable and press the LINK MODE switch t set the DXR t STEREO

3. Select well recrded, mixed and mastered music that has a wide frequency range, slid midrange definibn, and varied mixing styles and when beginning a dem make sure the D- CONTOUR buin is ON t n (FOH/MAIN). The prcessing is ne f the main features that makes the speaker sund s great at all levels. An imprtant pint abut DXR is the detail in the midrange and the fact that even when the speaker is nt really lud the sund is sbll superb. Pint ut the midrange detail: This is ne f the big selling pints f the DXR line. A gd line is this: DXR always sunds gd. When yu turn them up they just get luder, but they always sund gd. This is a big feature f the DXR. 4. If I am cmparing DXR t a cmpebtr speakers I set the cmpebtr t nminal as well. With regard t anything in the same price range as DXR it is generally luder at nminal. Als, the DXR12 cmpetes very effecbvely with many cmpebtrs 15 speaker. 5. The an. feedback dem needs t be dne CAREFULLY. If yu are ging t d the mic dem use a Shure SM58 r SM57 (DON T use a cndenser mic r hyper cardid) and try t use the DXR12. a. Set the DXR D- CONTOUR t MONITOR mde and place the DXR n the flr in mnitr psibn. b. Keep the micrphne abut 3-4 feet away and BE CAREFUL. The right distance is crucial- - dn t shve the mic inches frm the speaker. c. Yu can get the DXR lud and just say Mic Check... Test... Test... int the mic and then, frm the standard mnitr psibn, pint the mic at the speaker. It is best t pracbce this dem first s yu can be assured f a gd dem! Ding this right can be a very pwerful and effecbve dem. 6. Regarding music chices: Make sure yu think abut what yu are ging t use. Try t avid allwing a custmer t use their wn music because; a) it may nt have the best quality audi cntent (and it might have prfanity) and; b) yu lse cntrl f the dem. Always cntrl yur dem! 7. If yu are cmparing with a cmpebtr, make sure that if they have a DEEP r BOOST switch n the back and it is n yu engage D CONTOUR n the DXR. Apples t Apples...Our prcessing sunds great. 8. Cnnect yur audi surce directly t the speaker inputs and DO NOT run a thru ut frm ne t anther, especially when yu are using a cmpebtrs THRU ut. If it is cnnected t a mixer make sure that things are set up crrectly (prper gain staging is crucial). 9. One last thing: I pint ut hw quiet DXR is when it is just n and si\ng there. Many ther speakers hiss a lt luder. Our amplifier is high- quality and quiet!
