SGM482 2mW Differential Input, GENERAL DESCRIPTION The SGM482 is a stereo audio power amplifier with differential inputs. Operating on a single 5V power supply, it delivers 2mW of continuous RMS power per channel into a 6Ω loads with typically % THD+N. Amplifier gain is externally configured by means of two resistors per input channel and does not require external compensation. The SGM482 is designed to maximize audio performance in portable communication device applications such as mobile phone. The portable application requires audio power amplifier has minimum of external components and can operate from a single 2.7V to 5.5V power supply. The SGM482 features an externally controlled, active-high, micro-power consumption shutdown mode. Additionally, the SGM482 features an internal thermal shutdown and short circuit protection mechanism. The SGM482 is available in Green MSOP- package. It operates over an ambient temperature range of -4 to +85. Functional operation of the device at these or any other conditions beyond those indicated in the operational section of the specification is not implied. Exposure to absolute maximum rating conditions for extended periods may affect reliability. ESD SENSITIVITY CAUTION This integrated circuit can be damaged by ESD if you don t pay attention to ESD protection. SGMICRO recommends that all integrated circuits be handled with appropriate precautions. Failure to observe proper handling and installation procedures can cause damage. ESD damage can range from subtle performance degradation to complete device failure. Precision integrated circuits may be more susceptible to damage because very small parametric changes could cause the device not to meet its published specifications.
