Assessment criteria: You will be assessed on how well you: Present and complete the following information and activities in your PPD (Photography Process Diary). Task Description: Students will view several YouTube clips as well as own research gathered in class to answer the questions on Australian Modernist Photographer Olive Cotton. Submission Guidelines: 1. All questions must be in question and answer format. 2. Each question needs to be clearly marked with the correct question number. 3. Presentation must be in your PPD s (Photography Process Diary). 4. Creative presentation will also be marked as part of the marking criteria. 5. All images must be printed out in colour. 6. USBs will not be accepted on the date the task is due. Underneath each image write the titles and dates of completion. (minimum size of each image is 5cm x 5cm). 10. Write a 1 page analysis on Cottons Tea Cup Ballet. Practical Component Using Olive Cottons photograph Tea Cup Ballet as an inspiration, setup an appropriation of a still-life to try to replicate this image (appropriate) focusing on composition of your objects and use of strong shadows. You will need to take your photograph digitally and print out a copy of your image. Think about using objects that allow light to pass through, casting shadows, and creating the illusion of texture. Ie glassware, mugs, tea cup set etc. Consider composition, lighting, shadows, contrast, texture, shape and camera angles etc. 20 marks 2
