Incus connects your hearing aids Your Incus programmer connects your Blamey Saunders hearing aids to our IHearYou application via Bluetooth. Inside your Incus package, you will find a sticker with the serial number and unique Bluetooth MAC address. Please affix this ID sticker here: Stick your ID sticker here 2
Set up your Incus Insert AAA battery Incus battery life is about three hours of continuous usage. Press the on/off button When the Incus is turned on, the On/Off button will light up with a flashing green light. If the green light does not flash, the battery may be flat or may be inserted the wrong way around. 3
Connect your hearing aids to the Incus The red cable is for the right hearing aid, the blue cable is for the left hearing aid. 1. Open the hearing aid battery door slightly to create a gap in the hinge. 2. Gently insert the ribbon into the hinge. The gold side of the ribbon faces up. The dark side faces down. 3. Close the battery door to click the ribbon securely into place. 4. A solid blue (for left) and red (for right) light indicates that the hearing aids are successfully attached to the Incus. 5. If you cannot see a blue or red light, you may have the cable upside down. Please remove the cable from the hearing aid, turn it the other way up and re-insert it. First time connection: pair Incus with your computer or phone You only need to pair the first time you use your Incus with your phone or computer. Android, iphone, ipod, or ipad Go to your Settings, Bluetooth, and tap Scan. When Incus appears, select Pair. If you are prompted for a PIN, it is 0000. Apple Macintosh From the Bluetooth menu icon ( ) on your menu bar, select Set Up Bluetooth Device. When Incus appears in the list, select Incus and continue with the pairing process. It can take a minute for your Mac to detect Incus. If you cannot pair with your phone or Mac If no Incus appears in the list of devices, check your Incus is on, nearby your phone or Mac, and that the green light is flashing. If Incus still does not appear, try turning your Bluetooth off, then on, and retry. Sometimes your device can take a few minutes to scan. 6
Windows PC You only need to pair the first time you use your Incus with your phone or computer. If you have a laptop computer, ensure that Bluetooth is switched on. If you have a desktop PC or a laptop without Bluetooth, you will need to plug in the Bluetooth dongle supplied with your Incus: This is the Bluetooth dongle. 7
You can find your Bluetooth symbol in the bottom-right of screen (your system tray). Click on the Bluetooth symbol, then choose Add Device (see photo below) The next window will show available Bluetooth devices. When your Incus device appears, click on it and then click next. It may take a few minutes for Incus to appear. You may be asked to type in a pairing code. If so, the code is 0000. 8
You can confirm that your Incus device has paired to your computer by clicking Show Bluetooth Devices (see photo below). The green light will continue to flash even when Incus has been successfully paired. It goes solid green only when it is connected to IHearYou (later). If you cannot pair with your computer If no Incus appears in the list of devices, check your Incus is on, nearby your computer, and that the green light is flashing. Sometimes your computer can take a few minutes to scan. 9
Use IHearYou to adjust your hearing aids Visit our IHearYou webpage for information about downloading, and tutorials about adjusting your hearing aids: www.blameysaunders.com.au/ihearyou When IHearYou is running, you are now ready to adjust your hearing aids. You should have the following set up: your Incus device is on; your hearing aid(s) are attached to Incus; your Incus device is paired; and you are wearing your hearing aids so that you can listen to them while you adjust them. Adjust your hearing aids Follow the IHearYou on-screen instructions. When you are finished Make sure you save your adjustments to your hearing aids before disconnecting. Disconnect your hearing aids in IHearYou. Switch off your Incus and remove the cables from your hearing aids. 10
Switching Incus off when you are finished To switch Incus off, press and hold the green button firmly for three seconds. The Incus lights will flash and turn off. For subsequent use of IHearYou From now on, you do not need to follow the pairing steps above, as your computer or phone will remember the connection with Incus. You can simply go straight to IHearYou anytime you wish to adjust your hearing aids. 11
