Gini Anderson
Gini Anderson Gini Anderson of Anderson Homes & Land with Keller Williams Puget Sound swore she d never be a real estate agent. My mother was a RE- ALTOR for 30 years and growing up I went to so many open houses I thought I d never be a REALTOR! Initially, therefore, Gini earned her degree in interior design and began a design and architecture career in another state. When she moved back to the Seattle/Tacoma area, however, she found her interests and skills com plemented real estate sales, especially with builders. I spent the first half of my career in new construction with builders, working on floor plans, then staging the model homes and making sure the homes were marketable, says Gini. Eventually I saw real estate could allow me to combine the two loves of my life helping
people and doing design work. Selling homes is such a great match. Gini now manages a team including a buyer s specialist and administrative support staff. Naturally, much of Gini s marketing focus rests on staging and photography. Photography gets people in the house, she says. Buyers are online. Photos are their first impression and have to be absolutely gorgeous. On the local level, Gini networks heavily with other RE- ALTORS. I know all the agents in the area and we ve all worked together on transactions. Of course we still host broker s open houses, but sometimes that s more for our fun than anything else! she jokes, adding that this fun is key to maintaining strong relationships. A strong trust factor keeps Gini s
clients coming back to her or referring friends and families. I ve been able to gain people s trust by doing what I say I m going to do getting them the results I can, she says. Her clients know from the outset that she truly does want them to get top dollar. I do it through staging and the highly strategic manner in which we price homes. She even jokes that getting top dollar is not about making more money for herself, but to appease her own competitive spirit. It s not only best for my clients, but it makes me feel so good to get results. Her team, she says, is filled with people who love what they do and are dedicated to hard work. Attention to detail also bolsters Gini s success. In a region filled with techies who are analytical and strategic by nature, Gini s approach to their detailed needs resonates.
Clients remember how Gini treated them and appreciate her personal touches. In addition to an annual Thanksgiving party for clients and her network, Gini is known for the photo calendar she produces each year. I even heard from a client who moved out of state and still wants my calendar! she says, laughing. It s very high quality and features at least 14 homes I ve listed and sold over the past year. People like seeing who s in the calendar each year and because we re so locally focused, many of them know each other. In the future, Anderson Homes & Land will keep exploring new directions while maintaining Gini s strong commitment to serving buy - ers, sellers and emerging talent in the real estate field. I m interested in growing my team, but I also
love to mentor new real estate pro - fessionals, she says. I regularly interview people because I like getting them started on the right foot. One new agent she s mentoring used to work in banking and was inspired to try real estate after Gini met him at the bank and suggested that with his excellent service skills he d be a good fit. Besides mentoring new agents, I also like helping other agents stage the homes they list. On a personal level, Gini is currently flipping a home. I ve always worked with builders, so it s really fun to take what I know about accenting the lovely mid-century amenities of this home with today s modern conveniences. This is just one example of how Gini ensures she s always learning and growing with the art of real estate. Real estate is an incredibly rewarding experience. I m so glad I made this choice 30 years ago. To learn more about Gini Anderson, visit www.findyournwhome.com, email gini@findyournwhome.com or call 253.988.0180
