Imran Haider Naqvi is an diversified experience in academics, Islamic Associate Professor and currently the founding banking and IT. He served an Islamic bank head of CIF. He brings about 20 years of and IT industry as being the key executive in
its founding team. During 2008 to 2010 Dr. Naqvi has been a lead trainer for Islamic banking in DIBL, Burj Bank and Dawood Takaful. Dr. Naqvi covers all essentials of modern Islamic banking in corporate training style. His research in Islamic finance is concentrated on optimizing the Iranian model of Islamic loaning, Shariah compliant benchmarks and formulas and Islamic wealth management. In addition to his doctoral thesis on human resource development from NUML he has contributed good range of publications. Dr. Muhammad Ali Jibran Qamarcompleted his PhD from University of Gloucestershire, UK in 2012. He joined COMSATS as Assistant Professor in February, 2013. Prior to joining COMSATS, Dr. Jibran was a corporate trainer in UK in various education establishments and added international exposure to CIF. He delivered a tailored Islamic Finance training to the scholars from Saudi Arabia in the United Kingdom. Dr. Jibran participated in various Islamic Finance related training programs e.g. Durham Islamic Finance Summer School, UK. Furthermore, he also participated in various national and international conferences and published papers in journals. Mr. Imran Ur Rehman- is an Associated Cost and Management Accountant (ACMA) possessing practical experience of more than 18 years. He worked for 9 years on strategic managerial positions such as CFO and Company Secretary in various Financial Institutions of Pakistan. After qualifying his CMA, he joined United Consultant (Pvt.) Limited as Senior Consultant where his job description included designing of financial & cost accounting systems and simplification of procedures/policies as per requirement of corporate clients. In 1997, he joined Asian Leasing Corporation Limited as Head of Finance & Accounts and Company Secretary. He participated in activities of the merger of Asian Leasing Corporation Limited with First Leasing Corporation Limited very vigorously. He joined Trust Investment Bank Limited (TIBL) as CFO and Company Secretary in year 2001. He completed pre and post formalities of acquisition and merger of Pakistan Industrial Leasing Corporation Limited, Fidelity Investment Bank Limited and Doha Bank Pakistan into TIBL as per directives of SECP and SBP. In year 2004, TIBL was converted in to Trust Commercial Bank Limited and in the same year was merged into Crescent Commercial Bank Limited. During these restructuring and merger processes, he actively performed in preparing projections, budgets and handling corporate matters up to the satisfaction of management and regulatory authorities. In addition to this Mr. Imran has been a lead corporate trainer with his employer banks for training resources on the prudential regulations and relevant SOPs.
Mr. Mujtaba Khalid Mujtaba Khalid has a diversified range of experience spanning from government and private sector advisory, establishing effective governance frameworks, Islamic capital market products as well as conducting Islamic finance training and capacity building programs. He has worked for the UK based Islamic Finance Council as a senior associate and his most recent role is to help establish an Islamic Finance Center at COMSATS CIIT - one of Pakistan s leading universities along with other industry stakeholders. Academically, Mujtaba Khalid s undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance is from the London School of Economics and M.Sc Investment Analysis from The University of Stirling. He also has three specialized Islamic finance qualifications namely; Islamic Banking and Finance Qualification from the State Bank of Pakistan (NIBAF), CIMA Islamic Finance Diploma and Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) from INCEIF. majors in Finance. Mr. Ali Asghar started banking career with Allied Bank and excelled his specialized skills and experience in Banking Operations and Project Implementation & Management on Temenos- T24 and Temenos Module Training to software users. He remained engaged in conducting training sessions held at MDC Islamabad of Allied Bank Limited. Presently Mr. Naqvi is working at United Bank Limited as Branch Manager. Mr. Naqvi is available on Sundays only to manage training on branches rollout project on Temenos-T24 and ensure that they meet project objectives of migration and training. Managing migration activities for implementation & training of Temenos-T24 system with team members is strength of Mr. Naqvi. Further he is also updated to provide hands on training in Branch Banking operations such as task of balancing unbalanced heads of Clearing, OBC, ATM and other Internal Banking heads.
