Flower Card Tutorial I get lots of requests when I make a card using a flower as to how I make them. I thought I would put together this free tutorial so that you could all make them. Stampin Up! Modern Label Punch (119849) Clear Rhinestone Brads (113144) Stampin Dimensionals (104430) Mini Glue Dots (103683) Step 1 Cut Wisteria Wonder card stock 21cm x 13.8cm. Score at 10.5cm across the 21cm length. Step 2 Step 1 Cut Whisper White card stock 13.2cm x 9.9cm. Emboss using the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder. Step 5 Step 6 Attach embossed Elegant Eggplant card stock to Whisper White card stock 11.2 x 7.9cm. Step 7 Step 6 Turn this piece so that the plain Whisper White card stock is facing you and add 5 Stampin Dimensionals to the back. Step 7 Step 8 Attach to the card front inside the Embossed Tulips Frame. Step 9 Step 8 Cut one large and one small flower from Wisteria Wonder card stock using the Island Floral Bigz Die. Step 9 Step 10 Use your bone folder to distress each flower on both sides. Step 10a Step 10b Step 11 Continue until the card stock starts to separate into two layers. Step 11 Flower Card Tutorial by Kris McIntosh, www.stampingwithkris.com Page 6
Step 12 Separate each of the 3 flowers into two layers. You will notice that the inside of the card stock has an uneven texture. This is the side you want to use as the face of your flower. Step 13 Step 12 Take each of the flower pieces and scrunch into a small tight ball. Step 14 Step 13 Carefully open each of the flower pieces out and stack onto a Clear Rhinestone Brad, beginning with the small flower from the Island Floral Bigz Die, then the Fancy Flower and then the large flower from the Island Floral Bigz Die, making sure that you stagger the petals as you go. Step 17 Add Mini Glue Dots to the back of the flower and attach to the front of the card. Step 18 Step 17 Stamp celebrate from the Fabulous Phrases stampset onto Whisper White card using Elegant Eggplant ink. Punch out using the Word Window Punch. Step 22 Attach to the front of the card below the flower. I have made this type of flower using many punches and dies including all of the Circle Punches and Dies and all of the Scallop Circle Punches and Dies sold by Stampin Up!
