Anchor s lighting range is purposefully designed to show the beauty of each Australian clay body. The range is handmade using artisanal manufacturing methods and small production runs. Through our handmade processes, each light fitting we make is unique; an object with a carefully considered form and a surface rich with the evidence of its handmade origins. We are currently producing four families of lighting products. The Potter Light, a pendant range in varying sizes and glaze finishes, the Potter Halo, a pendant made using a delicate, translucent porcelain and the Earth Light, a fitting that is made in wall and matching pendant formats. Our latest release, the Potter DS, is a wall light that blends the best of traditional, hand-made pottery techniques with cutting edge digital technologies. The electrical componentary across all fittings has been custom designed and is assembled by a specialist lighting contractor. At Anchor, we re passionate about maintaining healthy and robust local design and artisanal manufacturing industries. Our products are hand made in Melbourne, Australia and in doing so we provide employment opportunities for emerging practitioners, educate and transfer our skills and knowledge and support a whole host of other local businesses with the same commitment to quality and the handmade. POTTER LIGHT Anchor s Potter Light range is handmade in Melbourne, Australia. The simple, geometric form of the ceramic shade is thrown on a potter s wheel. Made using a range of high quality, Australian made stoneware clays, each fitting is imbued with the subtle differences in finish and form that are inherent in a truly hand made object. After an initial firing, the fittings are hand finished with glazes we have developed specifically for our lighting range. A final firing to 1,280 degrees C, matures the glaze and finalises the piece. The electrical componentary has been custom designed and manufactured to complement the handmade nature of the ceramics and is assembled by a specialist lighting contractor. TERRACOTTA POTTER Like all fittings in the Anchor Potter Light range, each of the terracotta Potter Lights are hand thrown on potter s wheel. What makes the terracotta Potters slightly different from the other fittings in the Potter Light range is the Terracotta claybody we use to make them. Sourced from a producer in South Australia, the terracotta is one of the few remaining clay bodies that is dug directly from the ground. It is a pure, unfiltered clay which, when fired to just the right temperature produces a rich and bright burnt orange colour. The richness of surface and colour depth that is inherent to the material gives each of the terracotta fittings a simple, raw honesty. ANCHOR CERAMICS LIGHTING 2018 POTTER LIGHT

POTTER LIGHT SPECIFICATION EACH FITTING IS SUPPLIED WITH High grade white ceramic E27 lampholder All fittings are designed to use a LED globe ONLY The fitting is dimmable depending on globe selection The fitting is not supplied with globe 1.5 metres of 2 core fabric sheathed electrical cable in a range of colours The medium and large fitting sizes are supplied with powder-coated suspension fittings and black stainless steel cable (Note: Black stainless cable is only available in lengths up to 2m. For orders requiring a greater than 2m drop, standard stainless steel cable will be used in replacement) All sizes are supplied with 80mm diameter powder coated steel ceiling canopy. MINI POTTER HALO Handmade to the same size and shape specifications as the other fittings in the Potter Light family, the Potter Halo is thrown on a Potter s wheel using a specially formulated, high grade porcelain. Sourced from a producer in Tasmania, Australia, the porcelain we use to make the Potter Halo is internationally regarded as one of the best in the world; its highly refined nature produces a translucent surface that glows softly when illuminated from within. The Potter Halo is left unglazed to encourage the translucency of the claybody and to celebrate the delicate softness of the porcelain surface. A choice of three colours of linen covered flex completes the assembly.

Available in pendant and wall formats, the DS fittings are simple, refined and timeless; a design that is equally suited to both classic and contemporary environments. Made using a hybrid process of traditional pottery techniques and cutting edge digital tools, the DS is simple and refined, favouring the quiet beauty of the ceramic surface. The external simplicity belies the internal sophistication of the fittings, produced using the latest LED technology and a series of aluminium and acrylic extrusions to house the mechanics and softly diffuse the light output. EARTH LIGHT Our Earth Light has been developed in both a wall and pendant format; the fitting is the same size in either format allowing it to be purposefully used across a range of environments both domestic and commercial. Whilst its geometric form is both simple and architectural, each fitting is thrown on a potter s wheel giving each light a unique quality and a surface rich with the evidence of its hand made process. After an initial firing, the fittings are hand finished with glazes developed specifically for our lighting range. EARTH LIGHT LARGE NEW FOR 2018 120 mm New to the Earth Light range for 2018 is an additional size offering of the wall format fitting. From the start of 2018, the fitting will be available in two sizes; the original regular size and a new large size which builds on the same strong architectural form of its smaller counterpart. Both the original regular size and new large size Earth Wall Lights are produced in the five glaze finishes we have developed specifically for the Earth Light range. The mounting bracket, lamp holder and other technical requirements are the same for both sizes of wall light allowing for an easy interplay between the regular and large sizes. 215 mm Both sizes of light are currently available as an up or down light depending on how the fitting is mounted. Fittings are not IP rated. We are currently in development with an up/down and IP rated version of both sizes. Both of which we expect to be able to offer for production by the third quarter of 2018.
