Kids Making Miracles Candlelight Ceremony & Pajama Jam! Friday, May 8th, 2015 Candlelight Ceremony to begin at 7 p.m. Pajama Jam to begin at 9 p.m. If your school has been making miracles for Doernbecher patients this year, this celebration is for you!! The annual Candlelight Procession & Pajama Jam is a very special event where students from all over Oregon and southwest Washington come together to celebrate their efforts for OHSU Doernbecher Children s Hospital. Who: Each Kids Making Miracles school may send students to participate in the Candlelight Ceremony & Pajama Jam (30 students max) When: Friday, May 8, 2015; registration opens at 6 p.m. Where: The Candlelight Ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. at the OHSU Auditorium. Kids Making Miracles Candlelight Procession & Pajama Jam The annual Candlelight Procession is a special event where students from all over Oregon and southwest Washington come together to celebrate their efforts for OHSU Doernbecher Children s Hospital. The Pajama Jam is a party following the Procession. The Candlelight Procession will begin at the OHSU Auditorium on the OHSU campus and end at the Eternal Flame in front of Doernbecher Children s Hospital. Who: Each Kids Making Miracles school may send students to participate in the Candlelight Procession and Pajama Jam. We ask that schools bring no more then 30 students. Please contact the Mallory Tyler at 503-220-8344 or tylerma@ohsu.edu with any questions. When: Friday, May 8, 2015 Where: Registration for the Candlelight Procession will begin at 6:00 pm at the OHSU Auditorium, SW Sam Jackson Park Rd., OHSU Campus, Portland. The Candlelight program will begin at 7:00 p.m. Pajama Jam will take place at Bullwinkle s Family Fun Center in Wilsonville. The doors will open to students at 9:00 p.m. Pick-up time is MIDNIGHT. Others: If you have other students who are attending the Pajama Jam but not the Candlelight Procession, they may go directly to Bullwinkle s Family Fun Center in Wilsonville at 9:00 p.m. Please submit the names of any student planning to arrive individually to the Foundation prior to May 1. Chaperones: If chaperones are required by your school to attend the Pajama Jam, we ask that they volunteer during the event or make other arrangements for the evening. We expect more than 600 students to attend and ask that chaperones refrain from participating in the activities. Food will be provided for volunteers and chaperones who work a shift, and all students who attend. Parents: If a parent is interested in volunteering at the Pajama Jam please have them contact Mallory Tyler at 503-220-8344 or tylerma@ohsu.edu. We ask that unless a parent is volunteering they not attend the Pajama Jam. Transportation: If your school will need transportation from the hospital to the Pajama Jam, you must request bus space when you reserve space for the Candlelight Procession and Pajama Jam. We will not have extra busses this year, so if possible, please have your school bus wait at the hospital. Clothing: It may rain during the Candlelight Procession, please ask your students to dress appropriately based on the weather. It will be dark and most likely cool, so have them bring coats.

STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INTO THE PAJAMA JAM WITHOUT RELEASE FORM!!! THE CANDLELIGHT PROCESSION WILL BE HELD AT: OHSU Auditorium SW Sam Jackson Park Rd. Directions from South Travel north on I-5. Take exit 297 (Terwilliger Boulevard). Turn left at stop light onto S.W. Terwilliger Boulevard. Turn right onto SW Barbur Boulevard and continue for approximately 2.5 miles. At the second light past the YMCA, make a sharp left turn onto SW Caruthers Turn left onto SW 6th Avenue. Follow the signs leading to the Kids Making Miracles Candlelight Procession! Directions from North Travel south on I-5 toward Salem. As you cross the Marquam Bridge, merge into one of the two left lanes, following signs to City Center/Beaverton. Take exit 1C (SW 6th Avenue). Immediately move to the left lane and turn left onto SW College Street (or the next possible street that allows a left turn.) Turn left onto SW Broadway and move to the right lane. Bear right onto SW 6th Avenue, following the signs to OHSU. Follow the signs leading to the Kids Making Miracles Candlelight Procession! THE PAJAMA JAM WILL BE HELD AT: Bullwinkle s Family Fun Center in Wilsonville 2911 SW Town Center Loop W., Wilsonville, Oregon 503-685-5000 Directions from North or South Take Exit 283 off of I-5. Turn East onto Wilsonville Rd. Turn Left onto SW Town Center Loop W. Follow Town Center Loop to the Family Fun Center on the left hand side of the street next to the Les Schwab Tire Center. The Doernbecher Pajama Jam, May 8, 2015, has been planned as a fun and safe opportunity to celebrate and reward the efforts of students from across Oregon and Southwest Washington. The Pajama Jam will be chaperoned by volunteers, school advisors, Doernbecher Foundation staff and the adult members of the Kids Making Miracles committee. Each student is required to fill out the following information completely in order to participate in the KMM Candlelight & Pajama Jam.
