Scalloped and framed! Judi definitely knows how to leave her mark on things with a rubber stamp that is! Combining stamps, velvety ink and some scalloped punches, she creates beautiful textured elements for scrapbook pages and card making all in the heat of the moment. (See Masking Fun Episode for more details about masking). Ink the Round Designer Block rubber stamp with the Pale Orange Marvy Matchable Inkpad from Marvy/Uchida and stamp in a checkerboard pattern on the bottom half of the note card. Ink the Daisy Block rubber Stamp with the Orange Marvy Matchable Inkpad and stamp over the Pale Orange circles. Let dry for a minute.
Remove the Eclipse Tape from the top half of the note card and place it over the stamped portion of the card. Stamp the top half of the card using Bubble Gum Pink Marvy Matchable Inkpad and the Round Designer Block rubber stamp and then overstamp in Pink Marvy Matchable Inkpad and the Doodads Diamond Bolio stamp. Remove the Eclipse Tape and set the card aside. 2 Punch and Judi 3 Ink the Retro Three Flowers rubber stamp with Puffy Velvet Fabric Markers from Marvy/Uchida start with Velvet Pink on the flowers, Velvet Olive Green on the stem and leaves, and a touch of Velvet Red to highlight the flowers. Use the Markers directly on the stamp. Stamp onto a scrap of cardstock. Let dry and then heat with the Embossing Heat Tool from Marvy/Uchida to puff the flowers. For added texture and more puffiness you can add layers of color with the Puffy Velvet Markers and heat again. 4 Punch the Three Flowers out with the Clever Lever Super Jumbo Oval Punch from Marvy/Uchida.
5 Color a quarter panel of cardstock with Brown Marvy Matchable Inkpad by swiping the pad directly onto the cardstock until you have the color you want. Trim a ¼" by 4 ¼" strip. Adhere this strip to the center of the front of the folded note card. Punch an Oval Scalloped Frame from this same brown cardstock using Marvy/Uchida s Clever Lever Giga Oval Scallop Punch. 6 Adhere the Three Flower oval to the Oval Scalloped Frame and layer onto the front of the folded note card. 1 HIP CAT Stamp the background with Salvia Blue, Light Green, and Yellow Green Marvy Matchable Inkpads from Marvy/Uchida using the Stripes Images from the Dots and Stripes Bollio rubber stamp. Stamp the Beaded Curtain with Dark Brown Marvy Matchable Inkpad.
Stamp the Cat rubber stamp with Dark Brown Marvy Matchable Inkpad onto cardstock and punch out with the Clever Lever Mega Oval Punch from Marvy/Uchida. 2 Add a pearl necklace to the Cat image with Puffy Velvet Light Blue Marker. Let dry and heat to puff with Embossing Heat Tool from Marvy/Uchida. 3 Color a quarter panel of cardstock Salvia Blue with the direct-topaper method. Punch a frame out with the Clever Lever Giga Oval Scalloped Punch. Layer the Oval Cat image onto the Salvia Blue Oval Scalloped Frame. To create the picture hanger punch a 1/16" hole in the cardstock about 1" from the top to the right of the stamped Beaded Curtain. Fold a 3" piece of paper cord in half and tie into a knot in the middle. Slip the knot through a small brad and secure to the cardstock. 4 Adhere the Framed Oval Cat to the cardstock positioning it over the ends of the paper cord to look like a picture. Layer the cardstock to a coordinating square folded card.
1 CUTE DAISY TRIO Stamp Floral Block image three times onto cream cardstock with Blue Marvy Matchable Inkpad from Marvy/Uchida. Punch out each image with the Clever Lever Giga Square Scalloped Punch from Marvy/Uchida. Stamp the Cute Daisy image three times with Black Marvy Matchable Inkpad on cream cardstock. Stamp each image with the flower portion of the stamp in the corner of the cardstock this will allow you to punch the daisies out in the right orientation for the card. 2 Punch out each Daisy with Clever Lever Mega Square Punch from Marvy/Uchida. Color each of the petals on all three Daisy images with Blue Puffy Velvet Fabric Marker. Color the flower center with Yellow Puffy Velvet Fabric Marker. Let dry. Add more layers if desired. Let dry between layers. Heat to puff with Embossing Heat Tool from Marvy/Uchida. 3 Add White Puffy Velvet dots to background of each Daisy square. Heat to puff with Embossing Heat Tool. Layer Daisy Squares to Scalloped Floral Block frames. Adhere to tall blue folded card.
