Follow Figure 1 and sew (8) assorted ½ squares together to make (1) Block One. Repeat to make (13) Block Ones total. Block One make 13 B D F H I E. Follow Figure and sew (6) assorted ½ squares together to make (1) Block Two. Repeat to make (4) Block Twos total. Block Two make 4 B E D ssembly (Refer to Figure 3 while assembling.) 3. Sew (4) 4 ½ Fabric squares and (3) Block Ones together, alternating them, to make Row One. Repeat to make Rows Two and Four. 4. Sew (0) assorted ½ squares together to make (1) DE strip. 5. Sew () Block Twos, (3) 4 ½ Fabric squares and () Block Ones together to make Row Three. Repeat to make Row Five. 6. Sew Row One, (1) 1 ½ x 40 ½ Fabric strip, (1) DE strip, Row Two, Row Three, Row Four, (1) 6 ½ x 40 ½ Fabric strip and Row Five together in that order to make bag body. H G F I

Page 13 7. Pin the 9 ½ x 40 ½ Fabric J strip to the Fabric J circle along the 40 ½ edge. djust the bag body as needed to match the circle diameter. Unpin the bag body panel. 8. lign the 9 ½ edges of the bag body, right sides together. Sew the two sides together to create a tube, leaving a 4 opening for turning. 9. Pin the bottom edge of the tube to the circle, right sides together. Sew the circle to the tube to make the bag lining. 10. Repeat Steps 7-9 with the bag body and the 13 Fabric K circle. Do not leave an opening for turning. 11. Mark two vertical line ½ long and ½ apart on the 1 Fabric strip (Fig. 4). Using your favorite method make a buttonhole on each line to complete the outer bag. 1. Place the bag lining together with the outer bag, right sides together, aligning the top raw edges of each and pin together. Sew the two pieces together. Turn the completed bag right side out through the opening in the lining. Stitch the opening closed. 13. Stitch in the ditch on either side of the 1 Fabric strip through both the outer bag and lining on the drawn lines to create a drawstring channel around the bag. 14. Thread the drawstring through the channel to complete the bag. Fig. 4
