Pattern #26473 MUL 1...1 panel B. Pattern #26474 GRE 1... 3 /8 yard C. Pattern #26483 BRO 1... 2 /3 yard Watercolours: D. Pattern #26459 LTGRE 1... 1 /2 yard Backing of choice...1 1 /8 yards Batting...32" x 36" Additional supplies: template plastic CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS: Please read all instructions carefully before beginning. ¼" seam allowance is included in measurements and all strips are cut across the width of the fabric unless noted otherwise. Label pieces and keep together until ready to sew. These instructions are based on unwashed fabrics. Prepare templates for the Arc and Wall Hanging Corner pieces. PIECING INSTRUCTIONS: C1 1. Sew a C1 and D1 triangle together to make a Half Square Triangle (HST) unit D1 that measures 2 1 /2" square. Make forty-four Figure 1 Make 44. (Figure 1). Press toward C1. 2. Sew ten HSTs together to make a Short Border strip that measures 2 1 /2" x 20 1 /2". Make two (Figure 2). Press seams open. A. Pattern #26473 MUL 1 (panel): 1. From panel, carefully center and fussy cut the large image into a 19" x 23 1 /2" rectangle (black included). Set aside remainder of panel for pillow tops. B. Pattern #26474 GRE 1 (grass): 1. Cut two 1 1 /2" strips. Sub-cut two 1 1 /2" x 24 1 /2" strips. 2. Cut one 1 1 /2" strip. Sub-cut two 1 1 /2" x 20 1 /2" strips. 3. Cut four corner shapes. C. Pattern #26483 BRO 1 (texture): 1. Cut two 2 7 /8" strips. Sub-cut twenty-two 2 7 /8" squares. Cut in half on the diagonal to make forty-four triangles. 2. Cut four 2 1 /4" strips for binding. 3. Cut four arc shapes. D. Pattern #26459 LTGRE 1 (texture): 1. Cut two 2 7 /8" strips. Sub-cut twenty-two 2 7 /8" squares. Cut in half on the diagonal to make forty-four triangles. 2. Cut two 1 1 /4" strips. Sub-cut two 1 1 /4" x 23 1 /2" strips. 3. Cut one 1" strip. Sub-cut two 1" x 20 1 /2" strips. B2 D3 Figure 2 Make 2. 3. Sew twelve HSTs together to make a Long Border strip that measures 2 1 /2" x 24 1 /2". Make two (Figure 3). Figure 3 Make 2. 4. Sew arc and corner pieces together to make a Corner Unit that measures 3 1 /2" square. Make four (Figure 4). Clip seam allowance and press toward C3. C3 B3 Figure 4 Make 4. Quilt Assembly: (Refer to Quilt Diagram and photo.) 1. Referring to the Quilt Diagram, sew strips onto the sides of the A panel. Then, sew D3 strips onto the top and bottom to make a quilt center that measures 20 1 /2" x 24 1 /2". Press toward and D3. 2. Sew a strip to each Long Border strip to make Side Borders. Press toward. Sew to the sides of the quilt center. Press toward the quilt center. 3. Sew a B2 strip to each Short Border strip. Press toward B2. Add a Corner Unit to each end of each pieced strip to make the Top/Bottom Borders, placing brown arc pieces toward the quilt center. Press toward the Corner Units. 4. Sew the Top/Bottom Borders onto the remaining sides of the quilt center to complete the 26 1 /2" x 30 1 /2" top. Press toward the quilt center. Finishing: 1. Prepare backing to measure 32" x 36". 2. Layer backing, batting and quilt top. Baste layers together. Quilt Diagram 3. Quilt as desired. 4. Trim backing and batting even with quilt top. 5. Sew 2 1 /4" C2 binding strips together end to end with diagonal seams. Press seams open. Press strips in half lengthwise, wrong sides together for double-fold binding. Sew binding to quilt using your favorite method. 6. Make a label and sew to back of quilt.

Cut in half on the diagonal to make twenty-four triangles. 2. Cut two 1 1 /2" strips. Sub-cut two 1 1 /2" x 12 1 /2" strips and two 1 1 /2" x 10 1 /2" strips. Lining: Cut one 24" square. Backing: Cut one 26" strip. Sub-cut two 20 1 /2" x 26" rectangles. Figure 2 Make 4. 3. Sew arc and corner pieces together to B2 make a Corner Unit that measures 4 1 /2" square. Make four (Figure 3). Clip seam C2 allowance and press toward C2. Figure 3 Make 4. Pillow top Assembly: (Refer to Pillow Diagram and photo.) 1. Sew 1 1 /2" x 10 1 /2" strips onto the sides of the A panel. Sew 1 1 /2" x 12 1 /2" strips onto the top and bottom to make the pillow center that measures 12 1 /2" x 12 1 /2". Press toward the strips. 2. Sew a strip to each Border strip to make four Side Borders. Press toward. 3. Sew a Side Border strip onto two opposite sides of the pillow center. Press toward the pillow center. 4. Sew a Corner Unit to to each end of the remaining Side Borders to make Top/Bottom Borders, placing brown arc pieces toward the quilt center. Press toward the Corner Units. 5. Sew the Top/Bottom Borders onto the remaining sides of the pillow center to complete the 20 1 /2" square pillow top. Finishing: 1. Layer the pillow top with a 24" batting square and the lining square to make a quilt sandwich. Baste to hold layers together. 2. Quilt as desired. 3. Trim quilted pillow to to 20 1 /2" square. 4. Fold and press both of the backing rectangles in half, right side out, to measure 20 1 /2" x 13". 5. On the right side of the quilted pillow top, layer the folded backing rectangles with folds toward center and raw edges aligned with raw edges of the pillow top (Figure 4). 6. Pin and sew along the raw edges on all four sides. 7. Turn pillow cover right side out through the opening created by the layered backing rectangles. 8. Insert pillow form through the opening.
