Operte the converter unit in the environment nd under the conditions specified in the purchse specifictions or ctlog. Operte the input nd output voltge, output current, etc. within the rted electricl specifictions. This converter hs no built-in over voltge protection. A continuous over current condition my dmge the converter. This DC to DC converter hs built-in input fuse, over current of ny kind will cuse the input to open. Be sure to insulte the metl cse bottom from surrounding components nd trce pttern. Do not operte the converter unit in strong electricl or mgnetic field. If there is the possibility of surge voltges occurring, tke surge voltge prevention countermesures. The metl cse of this DC to DC converter is insulted from internl components. However, if high voltge prts contct the metl cse, it my dmge the internl components. Do not chnge or modify the product, TDK will not be responsible for ny dmge due to modifiction. Do not remove or disssemble the cse. The converter unit is not designed to be resistnt to rdition. Do not use it in nucler power controls, medicl equipment, etc. Give due design considertion for sfegurding ginst personl injury, fire nd other ccidents. The converter unit must be wired ccording to the mesurement circuits given in the purchse specifictions or ctlog. Consult TDK concerning ny other connection schemes in order to void possible dmge. These converter units cnnot be connected in prllel (Fig.1). These converters my be connected in series, to ensure relible opertion, TDK recommends the connection shown in Figure 2. The output current must not exceed the rted current of the smller converter unit. Consult us when using this product in vehicles or in n environment where vibrtion is regulrly pplied. 8-3. Output Over Current Protection (OCP) : OCP is ctivted when output Over Current (OC) is detected (105 to 250% of nominl output current). Converter is uto recovery, if OC is removed. However, mnul recovery is necessry if OC condition continues for more thn 30 sec. If uto recovery is not ctivted for some reson, plese shout off the converter nd restrt the converter. If you require the converter to be ltched up during over current condition, plese consult your TDK representtive for recommendtion of dding n externl circuitry to RC terminl. 8-4.
