UPCOMING PROGRAMS CAC Certification. PRESENTER RAFFLE PRIZE 1942 Walking Liberty Half Dollar graded MS-63 by PCGS. Current eligible members Dave F.(March), Minutes, Notes, and Happening of last months meeting Last month s meeting was held on Tuesday April 14 th. We had 11 members in attendance. President Dave F. called the meeting to order at 7:07. Dave had various coin magazines, papers, and Greysheets to borrow this month. Dave reviewed a few interesting articles. -There was an article about why there are value disparities in Morgan Dollars with similar mintages at the same grade. The answer was due to survival rates of the Morgan Dollars at those grades. -The Queen of England got a new portrait on the British coins. -A judge ruled that the 1974-D Aluminum Cent is legal to own. -There is a proposal to get a woman s portrait on the Twenty Dollar Bill by the year 2020. Dave reported on upcoming Coin Shows. Dave also reported on recent shows. The Ft. Collins show had no attendees from the NSCC so nothing to report. The Longmont show was small but dealers were happy with sales. Dave reviewed the Door Prizes, Raffle, and Coin of the Month for this meeting. A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes that were in the April Newsletter along with some corrections in the show schedule. A motion was made and seconded to approve the Treasurers reports. We currently have $3,150.65 in the club account. (Remember that any adult member may see the complete Treasurer s report by simply requesting to view it at the meeting.) Dave F. brought cookies. Old Business The club PO Box has been renewed. The club s ANA membership was renewed. Dave was not able to get with gentleman who wanted an opinion on his collection but can t drive. New Business Club members voted on establishing a Program/Presenter prize, to be given out at the Pot Luck, that will be given to one member who has given a program during the year. Each time a club member gives a program they will get one entry into the prize drawing. The prize will be posted in the Newsletter and be worth $45- $50. Last Months Show and Tell Recap Joann L Brought in a book she had purchased for $1 on how to make origami with a dollar bill. The Book included a $1 bill so she basically got the book for free. Bob C. - Showed his Colorado State Quarter that had been made into a 9 piece jigsaw puzzle. Terry K. Showed his pot metal symbol, similar to the one on the reverse of a Mercury dime, that could be placed on a staff. 2
