July 2018 P a g e 2 Distinguished Citizen of Livingston County Matt Gaynor At the 43rd Annual Iroquois Trail Council Boypower Dinner, five individuals were honored as Distinguished Citizens. Among them were our own PP Matt Gaynor. Gaynor was a biology major at Fordham University and received a master s degree from Pace University. He has been in the banking field for 15 years with the Tompkins Bank of Castile and is the vice president and commercial loan officer in the Geneseo office. He is also a Rotary member and a Paul Harris Fellow award winner and won a major chamber award in 2015. Gaynor said, This award is very humbling. The list of names, they are giants. In Livingston County, it s very easy to be engaged and active in the community, we are lucky to have so many around us, there is a web of support, multiple organizations. Thanks to the Iroquois Trail Council and the Eagle Scouts who were honored. I have two teenage daughters, so I know with social media and smart phones the pace kids live today to get that honor? I appreciate your dedication. At Tompkins Bank, not only do they encourage us to participate in the county, they support the county and they are here tonight to support me and the council. My wife (Susan) supports me too, and is a role model for me and for our daughters.
