RCRC Lunch Meeting on 28 th April 2009 Lunch meeting was chaired by President Rajaram. PP David Ong Choon welcomed the guest. Rtn Yamazaki did the toast to Rotary Internantional. The guest speaker was HE Juan Jose Gomez, Ambassador of Mexico to Singapore. His topic was on Mexico. He started by briefing on the swine flu situation in Mexico and the positive actions taken by his govt. He mentioned that about 150 deaths with about 1000 infected. He then touched on Mexico very positive & healthy economy and the drugs problem between Mexico & US. His govt has started taking very strong action against the drug cartels and has seen great improvement. Meeting was attended by 18 Rotarians, 2 visiting Rotarians and 1 guest. Club Announcements Request for photographs of members youth As members will have known by now, the theme for PE Steven Teng s Installation is a retro one circa 60s-70s era. He is appealing for members to submit to him photographs of themselves & their respective spouses in their late teens to early twenties age. This exercise should be a visually interesting one. Rotary Club of Raffles City- Vocational visit for New Generations 2009 Date: Sat 23 May 2009 This event has been cancelled due to the influenza A virus (H1N1). Objective: To provide an opportunity for Interactors to see the various avenues available in the medical vocation.
