With an emphasis n cmpatibility, and permanence, students will wrk in several traditinal underpainting techniques, experiment with a variety f layering methds by glazing and scumbling, and explre wet-int-wet and alla prima painting. Examples f artist s palettes, develpment f clrs and mediums, and the prs and cns f mass-prduced art materials are cvered. Care and maintenance f supplies, varnishes, framing, installing, strage strategies, and health issues are discussed. We will visit the PAFA Museum and Vaults. There will be ptinal trips t NY galleries and museums, and the Philadelphia Museum f Art. Open t all levels.
