We value your membership... Have you renewed? As you might know there are two portions to a current membership. Arizona Quilt Guild is the main guild and their fee is $25 to renew AND Havasu Stitchers has a fee of $10. Forms are attached for your convenience. Please renew prior to June 30, 2018. There is a late fee starting July 1, 2018. See the membership table at the meeting on June 14 th,, with any questions. We will have forms there too. Happy Stitching, Membership 3

MEMBERSHIP DUES RENEWAL PROCESS Please be aware that there are two parts to the annual membership dues payment process, as indicated below. Step One: To renew Havasu Stitcher s portion of the dues, please complete the form provided. The fee is $10.00 annually and can be paid at the meetings (via cash or check) or mailed to: Havasu Stitchers, PO Box 2875, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406-2875. Step Two: To renew AQG s portion of the dues, please go online to arizonaquiltersguild.com and follow the prompts. You can sign up as a new or a renewing member. This is a simple process. Also, if you don t remember your password just follow those prompts and your password can be updated and/or changed online. It only takes a few minutes. Help is available from JoAnn Rice, AQG Membership Chair at 480-515-9190 or email to aqgmembership@gmail.com, please leave your name and number and she will call you back. AQG fees are as follows: $30.00 for new members $25.00 for renewing members $30.00 for late renewing members $25.00 for Havasu Stitchers Charter Members $0.00 for new/renewing Youth Members (under 16) AQG gets $10 paid by Havasu Stitchers **Please pay both portions of your dues by June 30 th to avoid late fees. QUILT DOCUMENTATION Linda Visnaw Quilt documentation will be on the 3rd MONDAY of Each Month Beginning at 1 PM at Copper Canyon Quilt shop. Please call and reserve your date and pick up your required paperwork at the quilt shop beforehand, It is anticipated that the committee will be able to document about 4 quilts per month. Thank you to Copper Canyon Quilts for their ongoing help. Quilt Documentation News: There will be no documentation in July and August. Community Outreach Our goal: To share our love of sewing and help people in our community. Acoma Blvd Here Is My Brown Bag Challenge The Brown Bag Challenge is underway. You have 4 months to choose your 4 fat quarters going into your Brown Bag. Do you have a favorite color scheme such as blue & white, pastel shades of Easter, or Christmas. What about the 4 th of July or the warm colors of Autumn? Past Meeting Minutes Havasu Stitchers General Meeting Minutes June 14, 2018 - Quality Inn The meeting was called to order by President Cathy Geer at 6:30 p.m. Motion to approve the May 10, 2018 minutes made by Victoria Frances; second by Lisa Mousel; motion carried. President Cathy Geer called for all guests to rise and had them introduce themselves. Called for number of members present and 60 members with 2 new members. Cathy then shared Generational Truths with the group. We were all asked to use the website and Cathy gave kudos to Kevin Cabbage for the great revamping of the site. Cathy then read a thank you the Havasu Stitchers received from Child Help. She then shared a Tip/Trick for all of us using your acrylic machine table and the flashlight on your phone to have an instant light box. Cathy did an introduction around the room introducing the different committees and the vendors present. Treasurer Report given by President, Cathy Geer. Announced that the Havasu Stitchers had $15,925 available to the guild. Quilting at the Lake Chairman Linda Visnaw announced that registration was open for QAL and the committee was giving a free class away to the member that brought in the most outside signups for classes at QAL; this will run from this meeting to October meeting. Linda also announced that at each meeting the team would highlight one teacher on the roster for Quilting at the Lake. A power point presentation on the entire event will be done at the August meeting. Group was given a break for visiting the different committees and vendors. Meeting called back to order. President Cathy Geer then turned the meeting over to the two demo presenters, Phyllis Barton on Borders and Bindings and the Sheri Lilienthal with AccuQuilt Cutters. Winners of the 50/50 prizes were Pat Stumpf and Donna Rhymer. President Cathy Geer brought the meeting back to order from the demos and started show and tell. There were 9 presenters of some fabulous quilts. Motion to adjourn made by Lisa Mousel and second by Roberta Simpkins. Meeting adjourned at 8:02. Respectfully submitted, Sherri M.
