Speakers Biographies Rohan Singh Managing Director, Head of Asset Servicing, Asia Pacific, BNY Mellon Rohan Singh is the Head of Asset Servicing for the Asia Pacific (APAC). Based in Singapore and a member of the APAC Leadership Council, Rohan is responsible for the execution of growth opportunities and overseeing the development of local capabilities in APAC. With over 27 years of financial services industry experience, Rohan s experience spans across operations, client servicing, sales and executive Management in various locations including Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore and London. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Rohan led the Southeast Asia region for Northern Trust, based in Singapore. He has also led the Australasia region for Northern Trust as well as Sales for Asia Pacific. He had spent his early career years as a director at Citibank and held several asset servicing leadership positions at the company, including Head of Global Custody Sales South Asia. Rohan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Wollongong, New South Wales in Australia and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). Dato' Mohamad Nasir Ab Latif Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Investment), Employees Provident Fund Dato Mohamad Nasir Ab Latif was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Investment) on April 15, 2013. Dato Mohamad Nasir started his career with the EPF in 1982 and has held several positions before being promoted to Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Investment). He previously held positions as State Enforcement Officer (1990-1995), Senior Research Officer, Manager and Senior Manager in the Investment and Economics Research Department (1995-2003) and General Manager of the International Equity Investment Department (July 2009-2013). He is currently a Board member of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad, PLUS Malaysia Berhad, Yinson Holdings Berhad, BBCC Development Sdn Bhd, the Battersea Project Company Limited and Yarra Park City Pty Ltd. He graduated with a Bachelor in Social Science (Economics) from Universiti Sains Malaysia and obtained a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 1996. He also holds a Master of Science in Investment Analysis from the University of Stirling, United Kingdom (1999). Glenn Tasky Director, The SEACEN Centre Glenn Tasky joined the SEACEN Centre in April 2017 after a long career as an international financial sector supervision and regulation advisor. Working under contract with the United States Agency for International Development, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank Group, Glenn has held long-term advisory positions in banking supervision and macroprudential supervision at central banks in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Afghanistan, Jordan, and Bangladesh, where his main areas of focus have been: accounting, reporting, and off-site supervision; the legal and regulatory framework for sound banking; problem bank reform, restructuring, and resolution; and macroprudential supervision. Along the way, Glenn has also acquired expertise in several aspects of financial inclusion, such as microfinance and mobile banking. He has an extensive training background, having developed and delivered numerous courses for the National Bank of Ukraine, Da Afghanistan Bank, and Bangladesh Bank. Glenn is also a recognized trainer in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation s Financial Regulators Training Initiative. Prior to relocating overseas in 1995, Glenn worked in his native United States as an Economic Analyst and Economist for the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco and later as a Regulatory Policy Analyst, Financial Analyst, and Manager of Financial Analysis for the U.S. Department of Treasury s Office of Thrift Supervision, West Region Office. Glenn holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor s degree in Economics from Carleton College (Northfield, Minnesota).

Kay Yeow Ling Partner, Advisory Services, EY Ling Kay Yeow is a Partner from EY s Advisory Services Practice and brings with him more than 17 years of consulting experience, mainly in areas of IT strategy, IT system implementation and Digital Transformations. His area of expertise is in the Financial Services industry and he covers the Banking, Insurance, and Wealth and Asset Management sector. He has led IT transformation projects for many large regional banks, including Datawarehouse implementations, replacements of Core-Systems, etc. More recently, he has been involved in several datarelated projects where he implemented analytics tools for banks. Hans Brown Head of International Technology, Asia Pacific & Latin America, BNY Mellon Hans Brown is the Head of International Technology for BNY Mellon responsible for leading technology innovation and delivery in Asia Pacific and Latin America. Hans has a wealth of experience in enabling organisational cultural change and rapidly delivering technology solutions in the financial services, telecoms and consumer electronic industries, to reduce both operational risk and expense and simultaneously enable the creation of new revenue streams. He is a member of the Global BNY Mellon Technology Operating Council, a regional co-chair of the BNY Mellon Women s Initiative Network as well as a member of the BNY Mellon Asia Pacific Leadership Council. Hans is also a BNY Mellon representative on the Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA) Fintech Working group and has an active interest in technology evolution and trends as well as the rise of Fintech s and API's in financial markets. Hans has a Master of Science in International Technology Management from the University of Warwick in the UK as well as a Master of Engineering in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Liverpool. He has been a keynote speaker at multiple corporate and industry events on technology evolution and trends as well as the rise of Fintech s and APIs in financial markets. He was a key contributor to the ABS-MAS Financial World: Finance As A Service API Playbook published by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Gregory Roath Managing Director, Head of Global Client Management, Asia Pacific, BNY Mellon Gregory Roath is Managing Director and Head of Global Client Management, Asia Pacific based in Singapore. In this capacity, Gregory has responsibilities for all major client relationships in the Asia Pacific region. Gregory is also the Country Executive and General Manager of BNY Mellon Singapore. Gregory Roath was formerly Head of Depositary Receipts for Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong. He managed the region s relationship management and new business development teams. He originally joined BNY Mellon in New York, working in both product management and Western European relationship management. Prior to relocating to Asia, he spent seven years in London managing new business development and undertaking relationship management in Central Europe, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Before joining BNY Mellon, Gregory worked for the United States Agency for International Development in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. There he was responsible for the establishment and coordination of numerous multi-national government-sponsored regional economic and development projects. He received a BA from the University of California at Berkeley and an MA from Columbia University in International Affairs.

Kalusha Yap Sales Head, North Asia, Preqin Kalusha Yap is a Sales Head for North Asia region at Preqin. She is responsible for the expansion of its business in key markets including Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia by providing intelligencedriven solutions to fund managers, institutional investors and service providers. By looking after some of the largest and most important fund allocators in the alternative investment industry, she has gained broad insights on some of the evolutionary challenges and opportunities facing Asian investors. Kalusha joined Preqin in 2013 and is a CAIA charterholder. She received her Bachelor degree in Business Management (double major Finance & Marketing) from Singapore Management University. Rohaya Mohammad Yusof Head of Private Markets Department, Employees Provident Fund Rohaya Mohammad Yusof holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accountancy) from Australian National University and an associate member of CPA, Australia. Rohaya began her career with Arthur Andersen & Co. as Financial Consultant in the Audit division. Her working experiences include among others; auditing various fields ranging from manufacturing, banking, oil & gas and trading industries where she was involved in audit planning and preparing of audited financial accounts and evaluating internal control of accounting system. In 1990, she joined Maybank Investment Bank (previously named Aseambankers) and was appointed as Executive Vice President for Corporate Investment Banking in 2005. After 18 years of acquiring vast experience in Maybank Investment Bank in areas of Fixed Income, Equity and Corporate Finance, Rohaya joined Employees Provident Fund ( EPF ) in 2008 as Head of Corporate Finance. During her tenure with EPF, Rohaya was appointed as Head of Capital Market Department in 2010 where she oversees Domestic and Global investment in loans and bonds. Her portfolio also includes monitoring of Domestic and Global Fixed Income External Fund Managers. She sits on the Boards of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), Plus Malaysia Berhad (Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad) and United Plantation Berhad (UP). Mark Nelligan Managing Director, Head of Alternative Investment Services & Structured Products, Asia Pacific, BNY Mellon Mark Nelligan is the Head of Alternative Investment Services & Structured Products (AIS/SP) for the Asia Pacific region and part of the AIS/SP Leadership Team. In this role, Mark leads the overall strategy and execution for AIS/SP in the region, and provides senior support for key clients and prospects, while representing the AIS/SP business with other stakeholders. Mark is a member of BNY Mellon s Asia Pacific Leadership Council and has over 25 years of financial services experience. He is a Managing Director and based in Singapore. Mark joined BNY Mellon in October 2002 from ING Barings, Singapore, where he was the chief operating officer with responsibility for the bank s commercial and investment banking operational support platform in South East Asia, Vietnam and India. Prior to this, he held several senior operational roles in Hong Kong, India and London. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (FCA, ICAEW) and a graduate of Jesus College, Cambridge University.

Choo Lye Tan Partner, K&L Gates Choo Lye Tan is a partner at K&L Gates Hong Kong office. She practices in the areas of securities, corporate finance, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, funds and public and private equity issues. Prior to joining K&L Gates, Choo Lye practiced in international law firms based in Malaysia and Hong Kong, advising her clients on general corporate and investment management issues in relation to the laws of Malaysia, Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands and Hong Kong. As a result of her background in offshore and Asian laws, she frequently advises on cross-border transactions, including the strategic structuring and reorganization of funds and companies to best benefit from local corporate and securities legislation, particularly in the areas of asset protection, fund raising, securities offerings, investment management and advisory, employment, prospectus registration and tax. Jessie Zhang Head of Institutional Distribution, Greater China, BNY Mellon Investment Management Jessie Zhang is the Head of Institutional Distribution for Greater China at BNY Mellon Investment Management. Her primary focus is to lead and manage the institutional sales activities and to construct business strategies for the asset growth in Greater China and Southeast Asia. Jessie has 20 years of financial services experience. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Jessie was the Managing Director, Head of Business Development for Greater China and Southeast Asia with Lyxor Asset Management. She has also worked as Product Specialist for UBS covering both sales and client service across all Alternative and Quantitative Investments (A&Q) products and strategies for the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that, she has served as Head of Sales at Skandia where she played a key role in developing the institutional channel. Jessie holds a MBA from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Raymond Tang Chief Executive Officer, Eastspring Investments Berhad Raymond Tang is Chief Executive Officer and also sits on the Board of Directors of Eastspring Investments Berhad. As CEO, he is responsible for the growth strategy of the business in Malaysia as well as overseeing local investment performance. He brings with him almost 30 years of industry experience and has worked for nearly 20 years in senior positions in the asset management industry including Head of International and Institutional Business and Chief Investment Officer, Asean Region for CIMB-Principal Asset Management Berhad. Previously, he was the Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer at CMS Dresdner Asset Management Sdn Bhd. He also worked as a fund manager at SBB Asset Management Sdn Bhd and Investment Executive at CIMB Securities Sdn Bhd, and commenced his career in the investment industry at RHB Asset Management Sdn Bhd. Currently, he is the Chairman of Malaysian Association of Asset Managers (MAAM) and Chairman of FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Advisory Committee. He is a Director of the Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Center (SIDREC) and also an invitee in the Executive Committee of Malaysia International Islamic Financial Centre (MIFC). He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of England and he obtained his Capital Markets Services Representative s Licence in 1997 from the Securities Commission Malaysia. He is also a member of the Financial Markets Committee (FMC) in Bank Negara Malaysia as well as the FMC Subcommittee on Bond Market. He is also a non-executive director of Eastspring Al-Wara Investments Berhad.

Taufiq Iskandar Jamingan Chief Executive Officer, VCAP Asset Managers Taufiq Iskandar Jamingan was appointed as Non-Independent Executive Director / Chief Executive Officer of VCAP Asset Managers Sdn. Bhd. ( VCAM ) on May 23, 2018. Before he joins VCAM, he was recently the Director and Head of Equity at Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) ( KWAP ). Taufiq has more than 11 years of experience in equity investments, tasked to maximize long term returns through investments in both domestic and international markets. Before returning to Malaysia, he was the Principal Officer of Prima Ekuiti (UK) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of KWAP in London. Over there, he led the establishment in areas of strategic development and implementation of its corporate strategic plans while ensuring sustainable investment and corporate returns. From his initial background of portfolio management at Permodalan Nasional Berhad ( PNB ), Malaysia s leading unit trust company, Taufiq built his experience in investment, particularly in international equities. He obtained both LLB (Law) and graduate diploma in Management from the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE). Mathew Kathayanat Director, Head of Product and Strategy, Asia Pacific, Asset Servicing, BNY Mellon Mathew Kathayanat (Mat Kat) is responsible for driving and managing the development of new Asset Servicing products and enhancements in support of client needs across Asia-Pacific (APAC). The primary focus and responsibilities include product strategy and development, supporting the business to grow revenue profitably. Mat is a member of the APAC Asset Servicing Leadership Council and has over 18+ years of experience in Product Development, Institutional Sales, and Relationship Management, spanning APAC and EMEA. Mat is a frequent speaker at industry events, involved in securities market committees, and regularly contributes to trade publications. Alvin Kwan Managing Director, Country Executive, Malaysia, BNY Mellon Alvin Kwan is currently Managing Director and Country Executive for BNY Mellon in Malaysia with responsibilities over managing strategic client relationships in the country. Alvin joined BNY Mellon in 2004 and was attached to the Singapore Branch. Following the opening of the Kuala Representative Office in 2005, Alvin relocated to Kuala Lumpur to head the representative office. Overall, Alvin has over 29 years of experience in the Banking and Capital Markets industries which includes serving in senior business development roles of both U.S and European-owned financial institutions respectively. Alvin had also served as president of the Malaysian futures broking association and previously served as director on the boards of the Malaysian derivatives exchange and clearing house respectively. Alvin holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) degree from the University of South Australia and a Master of Business Administration ( Finance ) degree from the University of Hull (UK).
