Pinochle Wednesday, December 12 at 6:30 p.m. Golf Club (card room) Activities could include bringing in local photographers to present their work (such as wildlife and travel photographers), having vendors demonstrate the latest equipment, organizing workshops to teach basic photography skills, and arranging field trips such as to the everglades, or Sanibel, for group photo shoots. Singles Club This club is for single men and women that want to socialize possibly monthly for Happy Hours, movies etc. This club is also for married people who would like to enjoy socializing and have spouses who are not here full time. It's about enjoying life and meeting new people! If interested in joining or for more information please contact Jeanne Logeais at jlogeais42@me.com or Kim Winters at KWinters790@yahoo.com. Teena and Stu Jones migrated from PA in December of 2016 to become permanent residents at the Plantation - Somerset. We love it here! We come from a family of card players. Our favorite game has been Pinochle and in PA we had a small group who met once a month at each other's homes for some friendly competition. It didn't take long for us (especially Stu) to miss Pinochle here. We had a void to fill and decided to determine how much interest we could generate. Teena spoke with Sandra and here we are. It has been about a year now and our club is really growing! At our last monthly meeting we had five tables of now mostly competent players. We started with members of various levels of experience from none to card sharks! We meet year round, once a month in the club house with tables set up in the women's locker room. When the pub is having their full menu, many of us have food and drinks there before cards. Our card session is generally two hours with three rounds lasting about 40 minutes each round. Feel free to join in the fun! If you already know how to play or are interested in learning, please contact Teena Jones at tcjtennis@comcast.net or call her at 717-755- 4586.
