Models for foundries and molds

50 years of experience and professionalism COMPANY profile Our company was founded in 1963, when Ervino Sartori decided to capitalize on his twenty years of experience as a modeller by opening the workshop with his son Giorgio. Over the years, while remaining an artisan family, we continued to invest in training highly qualified personnel and in technology, moving from manual production to a production based almost entirely on computer numerical control, CNC. This has allowed us to remain lean and flexible, while maintaining a high standard of quality as the years go by. Our work is focused in the production of foundry patterns in wood, polystyrene resin and polyurethane foam.
WORKING cycle we offer our customers solutions that best fits their needs. START Storage Verifying or editing the mathematical model Development of the model Manual cutting Delcam Powershape CAD Choice of structure and materials (pine or plywood panel, material thickness) Durability of the model Saw, hand tools 1. The client provides us with the paper drawings (or with the three-dimensional cad). If the mathematical model is provided by the customer, it will be checked against the paper drawings; alternatively it can be made by our company (internally or externally), transforming the customer s 2D design. At the mathematical model finished stage the allowances, the tapers and the shrinkage are added, requested by the foundry (casting method). Comparing the dimensions between the finished pattern and the rough foundry model Bonding Check tools in the machine and proceed to milling Loading raw model in the machine CNC machining Surface finishing Manual or with a bridge crane CNC machine Hand tools 2. The structure of the model is designed and, depending on the durability of the model (resin, wood or polystyrene), the materials are chosen to create it. 3. The process enters the execution stage through various other stages, such as: manual cutting and gluing of the material chosen to create the rough model on the basis of the size obtained from the mathematical model; comparison between the units of the rough model and the mathematical model is made; verification of the machine tools and production of milling paths (CAM); loading of rough model in the CNC machine; CNC milling; manual surface finishing; painting; assembly. Storage Painting Shipping END Manual brush painting 4. The model moves on to the dimensional inspection, by comparing the dimensions shown in the drawing and modified according to the method of casting and the results deriving from the mathematical model used for milling. Once completed and once the model is finished, the visual inspection checks are carried out.
We believe that to create good work you need competence and the correct equipment MACHINERY Among the equipment used, the Belotti 5-axis milling machine 8000 x 3200 x 1700 mm with Siemens CNC stands out, which is the heart of the production. Large models with high accuracy (1 tenth of a mm) can be obtained. The operating unit is constituted by an electric spindle power of 12 kw to 20,000 rev / min and by a device for automatic tool change. The tool storage consists of a rack with 16 expandable positions mounted in the middle beam X. Remote access control at the centre of the CNC production allows for 24 hour machining. The software used to produce the mathematical models and machine stages is that supplied by Delcam, which are: PowerShape for CAD PowerMill for the CAM The tracing bench, with three-dimensional centesimal control 3000 x 2000 x 1500 mm, is used for the dimensional control of the models. To meet the strong demand of the industry leaders in AVIATION, MARINE and AUTOMOTIVE and, in general, higher PRODUCERS OF COMPOSITE MATERIALS, we are gearing up to open a new BELOTTI work centre, particularly suitable for milling COMPOSITE MATERIALS, PLASTIC and ALUMINUM as well as materials such as WOOD, POLYSTYRENE and RESINS used in the production of foundry models. This machine, which allows you to increase productivity and competitiveness, is equipped with an automatic tool changer with 16 expandable positions.
CERTIFICATES quality and expertise to service your needs The company is certified according to the basic rules UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008
