OPTIONAL (but recommended) iron-on tear-away stabilizer. * One-way motif. Cut vertically. Keep motifs upright ** One-way motif. Cut horizontally. Keep motifs upright.

To make a right square triangle (RST) place one 5 square right sides together on top of a different 5 square. Draw a line diagonally from corner to corner. Sew 1/4 seam on each side of the diagonal line. Cut apart on the drawn line. Press open. Yield - (2) right square triangles (RST). Trim each to an accurate 4 1/2 square. Make (8) total from each combination. #1 - CX4835 Apricot and CX6566 Purple. #2 - CX6574 Pink and CX6322 Limeade. #3 - CX4835 Seafoam and CX6566 Bubblegum. Set aside. For 4-patch checkerboard block, sew one SC5333 2 1/2 square to (1) CX6322 Aqua 2 1/2 square. Sew one SC5333 2 1/2 square to one CX5514 LImeade square. Sew (2) pieced units together in checkerboard pattern to make (1) 4 1/2 square. Make (7) total. Set aside. For (1) square in a square block - sew one CX6544 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 piece to the top and bottom of one CX6559 2 1/2 square. Sew one CX5544 1 1/2 x 4 1/2 piece to each side. Make (10) total. Set aside. For the applique blocks - Trace (4) hearts and (4) stars onto the paper side of the flexible web. Rough cut out. Iron stars onto the wrong side of CX5514 Apricot and iron hearts onto the wrong side of CX5514 Princess. Cut out each along pattern lines. Remove paper backing. Iron motif in the center of a SC5333 4 1/2 square, (4) stars, (4) hearts. Machine applique all raw edges to finish. Set aside. OP- TIONAL (but recommended) Iron iron-on tear-away stabilizer on the back of each 4 1/2 square before stitching. Stitch through all layers. Remove all traces of stabilizer after stitching. Stabilizer improves stitch quality and helps remove any distortion in the stitching process. Assemble the rows in the following order. Join finished row to the bottom of the proceeding row to make a 24 1/2 W x 40 1/2 H piece. Row#1 - RST#1, RST#2, pieced square, 4-patch, RST#3, heart Row#2 - RST#3, star, CX6363 Peach 4 1/2 square, pieced square, RST#2, RST#1 Row#3 - Pieced square, CX6363 Aqua 4 1/2 square, RST#1, RST#3, 4-patch, CX6363 Aqua 4 1/2 square Row#4-4 patch, CX6363 Peach 4 1/2 square, heart, RST#2, piece square, CX6363 Aqua 4 1/2 square Row#5 - CX6363 Aqua 4 1/2 square, pieced square, 4-patch, CX6363 Aqua 4 1/2 square, star, RST#3 Row#6 - RST#3, RST#2, pieced square, CX6363 Peach 4 1/2 square, RST#1, RST#2 Row#7 - Star, RST#1, RST#3, RST#2, pieced square, 4-patch Row#8-4-patch, pieced square, RST#1, heart, CX6363 Peach 4 1/2 square, pieced square Row#9 - RST#3, RST#2, CX6363 Peach 4 1/2 square, 4 -Patch, RST#2, star Row#10 - RST#1, heart, CX6363 Aqua 4 1/2 square, pieced square, RST#2, RST#3 Sew one CX6566 Turquoise 1 1/2 x 40 1/2 piece to each side of the quilt. Sew one CX6566 Turquoise 1 1/2 x 26 1/2 piece to the top and bottom of the quilt. Sew one CX6736 7 1/2 W x 42 1/2 H piece to each side of the quilt. Keep motifs upright. Sew one CX6736 Brite 7 1/2 H x 40 1/2 W piece to the top and bottom of the quilt. 8. 9. Layer backing, batting, and quilt top. Baste. Quilt as desired. 10. Bind quilt using CX6566 Turquoise 2 1/2 strips pieced as needed for length.
