Paper Series #2. $750. Image scanned from a negative taken in 1976. Image size 21 x 15.75. The Paper Series photos were taken with a 2 ¼ Rollicord twin lens reflex. An ongoing project, the first two negatives from this early portfolio were scanned in 2010. This was John s first portfolio, when it was completed he decided against showing the work until a later date. That later date is now, 45 years later. Death Valley Daze, #1. $700. Scanned from 35mm negative taken 1993. Image size 21 x15.5 Death Valley Daze or How to Survive in the Desert A series created from negatives taken with a generic point and shoot camera. An ongoing project, the first two negatives were scanned in 2010. The series documents a solo bike trip in Nevada and Southern California in 1993. Starting in Los Vegas John biked to Death Valley National Monument where he biked, hiked and danced in the desert valley and surrounding mountains. The dancing was inspired by seeing Martha Beckett dance at the Amagosa Opera house in nearby Death Valley Junction.

In addition to drawings, sculpture and paintings Mark creates large installation art as a setting for collaboration with visual, musical, trapeze performers, grade school classes and anyone else near enough to be swept up in his creative frenzy. Fallen Leaves. $750. 2010. Image size 21 x 15.5 About John Kokajko: Born and raised in suburban New Jersey John has also lived in Berkley, California and the backwoods of Maine. He presently lives in Bradenton, Florida, with his wife Martha Kokajko, an Acupuncture Physician with a local practice. Photography has been part of John s life from grade school in the early 60 s; his first darkroom use was in high school. Ansel Adams and Edward Weston were major influences. Occupations have included: laborer for a utility company, Data Control Clerk, maintenance/repair handyman, woodsman (theme song He s a lumberjack and he s OK ), whitewater rafting guide, white water rafting Self portrait outfitter/b&b proprietor, Physical Therapist Assistant, Real Estate Agent, Licensed Residential Contractor and Real Estate Broker. He has also done some commercial photography and marketing consulting along the way. John has been continuously exercising his eye and building computer image handling skills over the decades. He has documented a number of events in the Village of the Arts and the Art Slam 2010 hosted by Realize Bradenton. His expressive images are, to a greater or lesser degree, abstract and invite the viewer to participate in the creative process. Prints is a show drawn from projects new and old which have been recreated as fine prints utilizing the Epson UltraChrome K3 ink set and 100% cotton fiber archival print media. These prints will last 100 years or more when properly mounted and displayed or stored. Each of these prints is of a limited edition of 25 and prices are subject to increase after each sale.
