Page 11 BiCity Wood Turning Club Minutes Key items from Feb 9th, 2013 meeting: - President Bob Salvetti opened our meeting - January Meeting minutes read by Philip Peckham - Treasury report was given by Ken Lawson ending balance ~ $6,208 - see newsletter for details... - Duane Hardesty mentioned next Thursday Night Dinner wil be at IHOP. - Dan Steed - Club store remains well stocked... - Fred Clause proposed to the club a demonstration by Mark St. Ledger for $550 + expenses. Membership seconded and voted to approve. Demo in the June/July time frame. John Lucas still in March Greg Williams (finishing) April May Picnic & Arts in the park - June 28 ~ 30 - AAW Symposium in Tampa who s going? - Arts in the Park May 19 th Noon to 6PM - We still need items to be donated - It s our only Annual Fund Raiser. - With Dawson s upcoming surgery Monday sessions at Dawson s may be limited. Maybe at Dan Steed s. - Floor mats (2 x 5) have been found - very inexpensive $15 each, Motion was made, seconded and approved to buy 6 for Dawson s shop. - Johnny Watson has the Monday Lunch Cook schedule see him to add your name to volunteer. - AAW Insurance policy to cover club has been found $425 per year. Club voted to approve. - May Picnic same location BUT a Port-a-potty will be needed. No water nor facilities are available. - Discussion was held about an April session (maybe 3 rd or 4 th Saturday) to have a working session as we have had before... hand s on help... small mini demos, etc. - Show and tell was held lot s of nice pieces.. and the wood raffle - again a bumper crop - Then we had the Gadgets and Gizmos portion of the meeting... what a hoot... and the Cheapest Woodturner Alive award goes to... I think it was a tie... O yeah - we had two visitors Benny Hunt & Charles Sizemore But no contact info was provided :(
