ADDENDUM NO. 1 October 21, 2016 PROJECT: CWU CAMPUS GENERATOR PROJECT #: CWU Project No. 12238-02 The additions, clarifications and corrections contained herein shall be made to the Project Manual, Drawings and Schedules for the above referenced project, and shall be included in the scope of work and proposals to be submitted. (Note: References made below to the Project Manual and Drawings shall be used as a general guide only. Bidder shall determine the total extent of the work affected by Addendum items.) Pre-Bid Meeting Questions: 1. What is the full-scale sheet size for the drawings? a. 30 x 42. 2. Does the basic bid include Sales Tax? a. No. 3. Are existing Asbestos products known to be present within the area of work? a. No. The Owner has good faith inspections on file for the campus that can be made available to bidders upon request. 4. Do the General Conditions hold precedence on Insurance requirements? a. Yes. See Division 00. 5. What are the control wiring requirements from the Paralleling Switchgear to the Generators & Control Panel? a. 7. Is the Contractor responsible for moving existing generator Big George from its temporary storage location to the project site? a. Yes. Big George is temporarily stored in the Jongeward Facilities Building service yard approximately 400 yards from the project site. Project Manual: ADE1.1 Reference Section 01 33 00, Submittal Procedures, Part 1.6.A; REPLACE Paragraph A with the following: Make submittals promptly in accordance with approved schedule, allowing a period of (14) days for A/E review, and in such a manner as to cause no delay in the Work. ADE1.2 Reference Section 26 01 01, Basic Electrical Requirements, Part 1.6.A; REPLACE Paragraph A with the following: The Electrical Drawings shall serve as the working drawings for the electrical work. ADE1.3 Reference Section 26 01 01, Basic Electrical Requirements, Part 1.6.E; DELETE Item 3. ADE1.4 Reference Section 26 32 13, Medium Voltage Switchgear and Engine Generator System, Part 1.6.D; REPLACE Paragraph D.2 with the following: 2. Concrete bases shall be designed by a licensed Structural Engineer. Installing contractor shall be responsible for the final design and approval of structural supports and submit design for approval with shop drawings. ADE1.5 Reference Section 26 32 13, Medium Voltage Switchgear and Engine Generator System, Part 2.3.C; ADD the following: 4. Replace existing batteries and battery charging system. Battery charger shall be equal to SENS charger, Model #NRG24-20-R-C. ADE1.6 Reference Section 26 32 13, Medium Voltage Switchgear and Engine Generator System, Part 1.6.G; REPLACE second sentence of Paragraph G with the following: Equipment shall be functionally tested at the factory through simulated tests. Owner/Project Engineer witness of factory testing is not required. Drawings: ADE1.7 - Sheet E1.101, Keynote 1. ADD: Maximum of (2) cabling splices is permitted between termination at Switch LSX and termination at Switch LSA9. Splice locations to be field coordinated with Owner prior to installation.
