Please check the first day of each month to find out what s happening at Sheep s Clothing. Sheep s Clothing Trunk Show Double Feature Feature Double See all the garments from two great design collections A Head for Trouble Meet author/designer Julie Turjoman at Sheep s Clothing on, November 8 noon to 3:00 pm A Head for Trouble is Julie s brand new collection of hats and accessories inspired by mystery novel heroines from the roaring 20s. Julie s designs capture the aesthetic of the age when women s clothes became less corseted and more flowing, without losing an ounce of femininity an age when women s fashions had to reflect their changing lives. & Knits Breathe Knits the Breathe is a collection of lighter weight knits that can be worn in warm weather on their own or in cooler weather as layering pieces. We have come to think of them as vest alternatives, perfect for the changeable days of spring and fall. Debbie and Paula having been wearing their own pieces from this book on a regular basis because they work so well for us. We hope you ll feel the same. 1

Classes Crochet Hankie BJ s original hankie edging designs are perfect for intermediate level crocheters looking for a challenge. You ll work with a size 1.00 mm hook and size 20 cordonet cotton thread to embellish the edge of a cotton hankie blank. This November, BJ will guide you through the Irish Crown Edging Handkerchief. 1 to 4 pm November 22 Teacher: BJ Christmas Balls to Knit We dare you to resist smiling while you peek into 55 Christmas Ball to Knit. The authors, Arne and Carlos, celebrate their rich Nordic knitting history and add their own sense of whimsey to these sweet little projects. This is a great way to learn and practice color stranded knitting. You ll get to experience the magic of blocking. Wool stitches transform with the proper application of water, steam, and heat, making even your novice efforts at color work look beautiful. 2 balls of yarn will make about 6 Christmas balls. Wool stuffing will be included in your class fee. Did you knit some Christmas Balls with us last year? Veteran Christmas Ball knitters are invited to join us to knit a few more. Your class fee will be half price if you bring in your completed Christmas balls to class. Come to any or all of the following class dates: Monday, Nov 10 Friday, Nov 14 Monday, Nov 17, Friday, Nov 21 4 to 6 pm $20 plus supplies for newbies $10 plus supplies for veterans Teacher: Paula 2

Crochet Scrubbie Spend a afternoon transforming a ball of hemp yarn into a bit of bath time luxury. The scrubbie is a perfect small gift for a friend or yourself. BJ s clever scrubbie design has no finishing other than working in the beginning and ending tails. You ll be crocheting a shape known to mathematicians as a fractal. 1 to 4 pm Dec 6 Teacher: BJ Julenisse The Julenisse is a traditional Danish Christmas folklore character. Heidi s Julenisse has his hands in his pockets and an impish look on his face. He looks like he s planning a pleasant bit of mischief. He s very easy to knit. Savvy knitters will notice that his head is a sock toe and his clothes are created by simple color changes. A bit of embroidery creates the illusion of pants and sleeves. Monday 5 to 7 pm Nov 24, Dec 1 $30 plus supplies Teacher: Heidi Ruched Scarf or Wrap We think that holiday gift knitting should be stress free because it s not just important to create gifts. It s important to enjoy creating the gifts. We think you ll agree that Churchmouse Yarns Ruched Scarf pattern perfectly fits this niche. Debbie has been busy knitting multiple versions of the Ruched Scarf and is eager to help you choose the perfect yarn for your Ruched Scarf. She ll be available on our scheduled demo days to help you select yarns and make sure you are off to a good start with your project. Bring along your needles in sizes 8 and 10. Circulars will be best for wrap. Straight or circulars will be fine for scarves. Free demo during these times: Thursday 6:00 to 8:00 pm Nov 13 or 20 OR Please check 1 to 3 pm Nov 29 the first day of each month to find out what s happening at Sheep s Clothing. 3

November BeginnerClasses Knitting for Beginners Learn to knit by making swatches of basic stitches. Emphasis is placed on learning to "read" your stitches so that you can become a confident knitter. Class also includes a taste of lace and cables. Wednesday 1 to 3 pm Nov 19, 26, Dec 3, 10 $60 includes yarn, needle, book, & toolkit BeginnerProject Knit Beginner Project This hat and scarf combination gives beginners opportunity to practice and polish their basic skills. You'll learn to use circular and double pointed needles while making the hat. The hat will also be your introduction to multi gauge patterns, which allow you to make the same design in many different kinds of yarn. The scarf combines the cables and other stitches you learned in Knitting for Beginners so that you can keep learning to read your stitches and have something beautiful to wear.
