INSTRUCTION MANUA This manua describes necessary points of caution when you use this product, incuding instaation, connection and basic maintenance procedures. POINTS OF CAUTION POWER INPUT RATING & OPERATIONA RANGE ocate the power input rating mared on the product and confirm its operationa range as indicated beow: 85 26V AC rating: 85 26V, 7 66 Hz, approx. 2 3VA 2V DC rating: 2V ±10%, approx. 2W GENERA PRECAUTIONS Before you remove the unit or mount it, turn off the power suppy and input signa for safety. ENVIRONMENT Indoor use When heavy dust or meta partices are present in the air, insta the unit inside proper housing with sufficient ventiation. Do not insta the unit where it is subjected to continuous vibration. Do not subject the unit to physica impact. Environmenta temperature must be within -5 to +55 C (23 to 131 F) with reative humidity within 0 to 90% RH in order to ensure adequate ife span and operation. WIRING Do not insta cabes (power suppy, input and output) cose to noise sources (reay drive cabe, high frequency ine, etc.). Do not bind these cabes together with those in which noises are present. Do not insta them in the same duct. Insta ightning surge protectors for those wires connected to remote ocations. For 2V DC power suppy ine, choose a surge protector with its maximum surge votage 0V or ess between ines. Recommended M-System mode: MDP-D2. AND... The unit is designed to function as soon as power is suppied, however, a warm up for 10 minutes is required for satisfying compete performance described in the data sheet. M5CTC CHECING 1) Termina wiring: Chec that a cabes are correcty connected according to the connection diagram. 2) Power input votage: Chec votage across the termina 7 8 with a mutimeter. 3) Input: Chec that the input signa is within 5 120% of the fu-scae. ) Output: Chec that the oad resistance meets the described specifications. ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE This unit is caibrated at the factory to meet the ordered specifications, therefore you usuay do not need any caibration. For matching the signa to a receiving instrument or in case of reguar caibration, adjust the output as expained in the foowing. HOW TO CAIBRATE THE OUTPUT SIGNA Use a signa source and measuring instruments of sufficient accuracy eve. Turn the power suppy on and warm up for more than 10 minutes. 1) ZERO: Appy 10% input and adjust output to 10%. 2) SPAN: Appy 100% input and adjust output to 100%. 3) Chec ZERO adjustment again with 10% input. ) When ZERO vaue is changed, repeat the above procedure 1) 3). MAINTENANCE Reguar caibration procedure is expained beow: CAIBRATION Warm up the unit for at east 10 minutes. Appy 10%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% input signa. Chec that the output signa for the respective input signa remains within accuracy described in the data sheet. When the output is out of toerance, recaibrate the unit according to the ADJUST- MENT PROCEDURE expained earier.
