Fine Thread Form Industries has emerged as one of the fast growing High Tensile & Special Fasteners manufacturing unit having its presence in the market with the brand name of FTI. A self developed firm Key Personal Company is bestowed upon the leadership of Mr. Pravinsinh K. Vaghela (promoter and a partner of this closely held firm), with his reach experience in this particular field. Mr. Pravinsinh has served this industry after initiating his career with M/s. ISPL Limited Rajkot (Once a leading fasteners manufacturing industry) way back in 70 s. Mr. Vaghela never looked back thereafter, utilizing his expertise achieved from the practical experience he acclaimed during his career. baked by hefty more than a decade of experience in this line of business. After initiating the business operations in early 90's with an annual turnover base of a few Lacs, it has reached to the annual turnover base of 45 Crores (6.8 Million USD) in the year Projected turnover in the current year is estimated at 50 Crores (7.5 Milllion USD). We have an stateoftheart plant in Rajkot Vision To be the leader & premier company manufacturing all possible range of quality fasteners & to make the nation proud of it. (INDIA). Besides cold forging & thread rolling we have developed all the process in house, those include wire drawing, grinding, secondary operations, heattreatment and surface coating (Phosphating & Plating) to match the increasing customer demands, hold on quality, on point delivery and to become cost effective to the customer the company has continuously upgraded their infrastructural facilities. 5 Page 04 Manufacturing Facility F T I 0.9 AN ISO/TS 6949, ISO 400 & OHSAS 800 Certified Company Spherodise Annealing For the better formability of material during cold forging we had also developed inhouse spherodized annealing process which is programmable & automatically controlled by controller. Wire Draw To achieve required size of wire for cold forging we had also developed the inhouse wire draw process along with the setup of acid pickling & coil Phosphating. Cold Forging We had a high speed & extra long bolt formers with multi stations to produce special fasteners like Hub Bolts, CR Bolts, flange bolt, Round head square neck bolt, etc. We had also inhouse designed the carbide toolings for standard fasteners as well as special fasteners & also having a unique system for the tooling s traceability. Hot Forging For Heavy Structural bolt (above M20 & Upto M46) which is not feasible in cold forging for that we also having a hot forging facility. Machining Modernized machine operation setup is well equipped with CNC & VMC turning centre which gives the accuracy within 20 µ. Other operation like grooving, slotting, drilling & Pointing we had a special purpose machines as well as lathes, drills, slotting machines, milling machines etc Centre Less Grinding To Controlled the Ra value in special fasteners like Connecting rod bolt we had a lineup of centre less grinding machines having accuracy within 0 µ. Thread Rolling Regarding fitment characteristics inhouse rolled threading process developed. In thread rolling section has a automatic tangential thread rolling machine equipped with a auto loading & unloading conveyor system. We also have a lineup of circular thread rolling machines for the special & extra long threaded fasteners having thread rolling after heat treatment. Special Processes Heat Treatment Regarding part performance, reliability & durability we had developed inhouse heat treatment facility. For fast delivery & productivity we have two continuous mesh belt heat treatment furnace and one gas carburizing furnace. For Contigency we also having a one shaker hearth hardening furnace and four pit type tempering furnace. For the better process control we had also installed the SCADA (Supervisory control and data acquisition) in both setups. Surface Treatment Regarding appearance of the parts & to supply the Corrosion resistance parts to our customer we had installed one fully automatic and two semi automatic platting plant which is controlled by PLC (Programmable logic control). Stress Reliving Hydrogen embrittlement is one of the vital issues in 0.9 & 2.9 graded fasteners having a platting as a surface treatment. Its directly affect the parts performance. To remove the hydrogen from the surface of the fasteners we are doing hydrogen deembrittlement process immediate after platting OR Phosphating with continuous conveyor type backing furnace. For the batter control we have also developed inhouse metallurgical lab in which we are carried out all the inspection & testing parameters which is necessary for the raw material as well as finish good. Regarding the rawmaterial testing chemical analysis & Hardness measurement carriedout on each coil. Metallurgical Lab Regarding the strength & structure of the material we are also doing magnetic particles test for crack detection, tensile test & micro examination (Microstructure, Decarburization, grain size, Inclusion rating) according to standard procedure & specifications. We also having a Micro Vickers Hardness Tester to measure the hardness on thread zone of the bolt. For the surface treatment control we have a Coating thickness tester to measure the F T I 0.9 AN ISO/TS 6949, ISO 400 & OHSAS 800 Certified Company thickness of coating layer & Salt Spray Test (SST) chamber to measure the life of surface coating. We also have necessary instruments which are required for the dimentional inspection & one optical shorting machine for 00% dimentional measurement. For the long life accuracy of the instruments we have also developed the standard room in which calibration activity carriedout for all the instruments & gauges as per the standard procedure & specifications on regular basis.
