2. Stand mainframe upright and cut bungee cord tie strap.

1 Remove the seat rail from the main frame by first removing vertical frame tensioning bolt and the lower seat rail to main frame bolt as shown. Remove the entire seat rail/footplate assembly from the rower. 2. Stand mainframe upright and cut bungee cord tie strap. 3. Wind bungee cord through pulleys. Remove rowing handle from the belt bungee pulley completely.

2 4. Remove mainframe bolts separating the upper and lower frame as shown. Note: Do not separate the upper and lower frame at this stage Using a small Phillips screwdriver and needle nose pliers, remove the tank bolts and screws as shown. Note. The very front and rear bolts will not be accessible until step six. If you have a 5.5mm socket this will be much faster Lift the upper frame away from the lower as shown until the 3m support tape between the lower tank and frame separates from the tank. Note: This will require a bit of force. 6

3 8 Note: With all the tank screws removed except for the final two, this is a good time to empty any remaining water from the tank if it has been previously filled. 7. Rotate the upper frame assembly upside down. This will give you access to the final two front/rear tank screws. Remove and separate upper and lower tank as shown in step 8.

4 Lie the upper frame/tank upside down and locate the pin just above the ring as shown. Drive the pin out of the mainshaft with a small screwdriver and hammer. 10. Once the pin is removed, you may lift out the mainshaft and separate the entire assembly from the frame.

5 Removing the Resistance adjuster knob and inner venture. First, remove the plug from the top of the adjuster handle as shown, exposing the screw underneath. Once this screw is removed, the inner venturi can be pushed through the bottom of the upper tank.

6 Removing the inner tank from the main tank/ upper tank from mainframe. Inner tank Tank bolts Inner tank You will need a long barrel Phillips screwdriver. 12 screws hold the inner tank to the upper tank. Unscrew them all and remove. For ease of reassembly, leave the 12 screws in the inner tank. Upper tank The final stage is to remove the two tank bolts holding the upper tank to the mid frame as shown above. Once these two bolts are removed, the upper tank can be removed from the mainframe.

7 Re-attaching the upper tank to the upper frame Use the two tank bolts to realign the tank. Tip: The bonding adhesive is quite strong and if you misalign the tank when first mounting it can be difficult to move. Use a silicone grease on top of the adhesive to allow for easy tank adjustment. Caution: As shown, the tank bolts have O-rings. Over-tightening can cause the O-rings to distort and lose their integrity. You may now replace the belt bungee pulley and begin re-assembly, making sure these three components are in the proper order. Slide the mainshaft back on the same way it came out.

8 Re-installing the inner tank, inner Venturi and Tank resistance dial Alignment gear Re-install the inner tank, using the venturi opening as an alignment point. Caution: DO NOT OVER- TIGHTEN SCREWS. Install the inner Venturi, and resistance adjuster dial. Note: There is a slightly elongated alignment gear on the Venturi boss and it must align with the resistance adjuster dial or the Min/Max apetures will not be represented properly. Check your alignment as shown left. MAX: Aperture completely open MIN: Aperture completely closed

9 Install the Impeller/Maindrive Re-install the drive system, making sure all parts are in the same position as when they were removed. Then, insert the impeller mainshaft through the drive assembly, making sure it s seated properly in the upper frame bushing. Then, align the roll pin locater hole in the driveshaft, and drive the roll pin back into the mainshaft. Spin the impellers to assure smooth operation and clearance on all sides. Note: You may elect to lubricate the brass oil bushing with silicone grease, and add a small amount to the top of the mainshaft before re-installation.

10 Installing the Tank O-ring and lower/upper tank reassembly Replace the tank inner seal on lower tank. Note: Check carefully before attempting to attach the upper tank to assure it has not slipped out of position. Once the O-ring is correctly positioned, SLOWLY and CAREFULLY lower the upper tank onto the lower tank. Again, the inner seal will readily slip out of position so this may take a few tries. Align tank skimmers Next, install four of the 24 tank bolts (do not add nuts or tighten yet) at 90 degrees and check alignment of tank shell holes and that the tank seal is properly seated. Correct bolt tension If the alignment of the bolts is correct, and the inner tank seal has not slipped out of position, begin installing all 24 bolts and screws using a cross pattern to tighten. The two images below depict a correctly and incorrectly assembled tank shell. ONLY TIGHTEN TANK SHELL BOLTS UNTIL END OF BOLT IS FLUSH WITH BOTTOM OF NUT! WARNING: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN TANK BOLTS. Correct seal position and tank shell bolt tension Over-tightened bolts and seal distortion, causing leakage

11 You may now reattach the upper and lower frame.

12 Reattaching the Rower Belt: 1. Begin reattaching the rower belt by threading around the rower belt pulley with the Velcro side facing upward as shown. 3. Thread the rower belt onto the belt bungee pulley until the rower handle is as far forward as it can possibly go. 4. Finally, unwrap the bungee cord until it is completely unwrapped from the bottom of the belt bungee pulley. The attachment point will be rearward as pictured. 2. Next, thread the belt around the idle wheel as shown. Once the belt is around the idle wheel, you ll see an obvious lip built into the belt bungee pulley. This is the attachment point for the belt.

13 Reattaching the Bungee Pulley Route the bungee cord starting from the belt bungee pulley as pictured upper left. Note the bungee is on the right side before being threaded through the mid/lower frame pulleys as shown bottom left. Finally, lift the rower to a vertical position while holding the bungee cord and tie off approx 100mm with a tie wrap and test for tension as shown upper right.
