3 Hypak Area Lights - HP3 and HP4 Hypak - a series of high performance building mounted luminaires providing maximum versatility. Innovative optical design, low profi le fi xtures, and practical mechanical layout make Hypak a complete lighting system easy to specify, install, and maintain. Hypak s low profi le design and soft light are ideal for area lighting applications where control and visual comfort are important. 1

These units, offering eight unique light distributions, may be wall or ceiling mounted. Low level uses include illumination of stairways, pedestrian areas, entrances, ramps, and driveways.

Any one of eight light distributions within a single housing are created by combining one of two lenses and a choice of three refl ectors.

At higher levels, the HP3 is used to illuminate industrial work spaces, aisles, and garages. The HP3 Series is a compact, low glare, high performance luminaire for HID lamps to 150 Watts. Any one of eight light distributions within a single housing are created by combining one of two lenses and a choice of three refl ectors. Symmetrical and asymmetrical distributions are available. The refl ector and lens design provide excellent cutoff glare control and photometric performance. The result is visual comfort and performance found with a lower number of fi xtures. 3

HP4 low profi le design and soft light are ideal for area lighting application where control and visual comfort are important. Common applications include building security, pedestrian areas, industrial work areas, garage, and parking areas. This wall mounted luminaire provides uniform light for large areas with excellent glare control to minimize intrusion. The Hypak HP4 is a versatile high performance sharp vertical cutoff luminaire capable of meeting all the needs of high level area lighting. The unit can be surface-mounted, recessed, pole, post, pendant, and base mounted to allow for maximum versatility. To insure long maintenance-free service, Hydrel uses a single die cast aluminum housing and a vandal resistant polycarbonate projecting lens. All hardware is stainless steel. Silicone gaskets assure weather and bug tight seals. 11

Pulse-rated porcelain lamp sockets accept HID lamps to 250 Watts. Quick disconnects are included for easy removal or installation of the reflector assembly. High power factor ballasts are mounted directly to the housing for maximum heat dissipation, long life and reliable lamp starting. Heavy-duty polyester powder coat finish for long-term fixture performance. Housing will be pre-shipped with RSB mounting. Door rod holds door in open position for easier lamp replacement and maintenance. Easy access, quarter turn fasteners quickly releases reflector assembly.
