1 Billboard Installation Instructions The 2012 billboard is a mandatory brand standard and replaces the old billboard sign. For easy installation, watch the video first! What You Need: Tools At least 2 people to help Ladder Tape measure Pliers, optional Level (Safety Sign) Scan the QR code to see video installation instructions! Hardware 2 36 snap rails 2 3 snap rails 6 hanging loops 8 fish hooks 8 12 S hooks 2 sets Velcro dots The billboard sign is in 5 sections, which will hang to create one large sign. For best results, hang the 30 circle first, followed by the 2 40 rectangular signs. The back of the 30 circle has a tongue and groove system that will allow you to attach it to the 40 rectangle signs. The No Appointment Necessary sign is to the right of the center circle with the Sell. Buy. Repeat. sign on the left side (when facing the sign). The 2 24 circles should be hung last. It does not matter which 24 circle is on which end Winmark Corporation 1

2 Prepare Signs for Hanging 1. Attach 2 hanging loops to each 36 snap rails by sliding the flat base of the hanging loop into the groove at the top of the snap rail. The outside of the hanging loop should be 4 from the outside edge on both sides. Slid flat base into snap rail groove 4 from outside of hanging loop to snap rail edge 2. Insert one hanging loop into each 3 snap rail and center. 3. You will now attach the appropriate size snap rail to the 40 x24 rectangular and 24 circular signs. The 40 signs will use the 36 snap rails and the 24 circle signs will use the 3 snap rails. a. The snap rails should have come already open. With the 40 rectangular sign facing Centered Hanging Loop up (laying flat and front side up), center the snap rail to the sign (leaving 2 inches on each end) with the flat side on the back, then slide the sign into the snap rail. Be sure to push the sign all the way to the top of the rail. b. Snap down firmly (use some muscles!) starting at one edge and slowly move horizontally. If you hear a pop! it s a good sign. Work your way across the entire snap rail until the rail snaps securely. c. Repeat the process for the second 40 sign, as well as the 24 circles. Similarly, for the 24 circles make sure the 3 snap rail is centered. Use the black X as a guide to center the 3 snap rail. 3 Prepare Ceilng 1. Use the diagram below to place your fish hooks on the cross bars of your ceiling. Determine where the center should be in order to hang the first 2 fish hooks 14 apart. Use a tape measure to help place fish hooks at the appropriate points. For best results, the entire sign should be centered with your counter and hang directly above the cash wrap. If you have any questions on where to hang your sign, contact your FOM. To use the fish hooks: Squeeze at the widest point of the round loop to open the mouth so as to attach on to the grid of your drop ceiling.* *If you have an open ceiling, utilize hanging hardware that has worked for you in the past. Depending on the height of your ceiling, you may need to adjust how your signs are hung. If you have any questions regarding how/where to hang your billboard sign, contact your FOM. 4 2. Attach S hooks to each fish hook. Make sure all S hooks are facing the same direction. See diagram below Hang Signs 1. Start with the center circle. With the help of the ladder, lift up the 30 circle with the front facing the store and attach the S hook to each punched hole. 2. Grab the 40 Sell. Buy. Repeat. sign this sign will hang to the left of the center circle (if standing and facing the sign). Lift to attach hanging S hooks to the 2 hanging loops. a. Once hung, slide the rectangle sign between the tongue and groove panel behind the 30 circle. This will hold the rectangle sign steady in place Winmark Corporation 4

5 b. Repeat the process for the right No Appointment Necessary rectangle sign. 3. Grab a 24 circle (with snap rail already attached) and hang to either of the S hooks on ends. Steady the sign and make sure to overlap 1.5 over the 40 sign (without measuring, the entire blue border overlaps onto 40 sign). a. Optional: Place a velcro dot on the rectangle sign along with its mate on the circle sign. This will steady and attach the 24 circle to the rectangular sign. This is recommended for stores with motion sensitive security systems. b. Repeat process for the other 24 circle.* Velcro dot *Note that the 24 circle depicting a baby holding dollar bills is double sided. One side shows U.S. money and the other side displays Canadian money. Please make sure the appropriate side is facing out when you hang it. 4. Optional: close the S hooks if the billboard sign is in a position where people or things may bump into it, likely causing it to fall. Using your ladder, make sure you are in a position to comfortably reach both top and bottom openings on the S hook. With the pliers, close the S hooks. Work across until all hooks are securely closed. Congratulations, the billboard sign is up! Adjust the fish and S hooks as needed to straighten the sign. Nice work! Questions? 6 Safety Sign Installation Instructions Safety Sign The Safety Sign comes with your billboard kit. This sign is a mandatory brand standard and must be visible at the front entrance. It replaces the old Safety Sign that was hung with suction cups. This new version is a decal a durable styrene material with an adhesive backing for easy application to a window. You will adhere the sign on the inside of the store. Clean the Glass Surface The Safety Sign is required to display by your operation hours. Prepare a clean and dry glass surface by using glass cleaner and towels to wipe down the area. Using a dry towel, dry the area to prepare it for the Safety Sign. Test the Area to Make Sure the Sign is Straight With the clean, dry space, place the Safety Sign in the space and make sure it is aligned straight. To do this, you can use a level. Once the level shows a straight edge, lightly mark the glass with a pencil to indicate the top and side edges of the sign. Adhere Sign to Glass Remove the adhesive cover paper from the Safety Sign. Carefully place the sticky side against the glass according to your markings. Press down and rub for at least 30 seconds. Peel adhesive cover Press & Rub 2012 Winmark Corporation 6
