Quality/grade BB/CC is originally an export quality according British Standard 1455, both sides tight and sanded. BB-faces: number of joints unlimited, reasonable colour match, splits up to 10 mm width filled, one open defect of up to 25 mm average per panel permitted. Sound and tight knots, occasional worm holes, wood patches and synthetic repairs permitted. CC-backs: no limitations VI./2. VIII./6. Isoplyform Fully laid-up of rotary-cut/peeled veneers of either Beech of 1.6 mm thickness or Birch of 1.4 mm thickness. The water-repellent overlay represents 3.2 mm of the panel thickness. The overlay material is fully recyclable, plain polypropylene, without any portion of cellulose or kraft-paper. This accounts for the low water absorption of maximum 1.8 %. Its Hardness is Shore D Special sizes of up-to 1500 mm x 4000 mm and 2000 mm x 3000 mm, cut-to-size, custom overlay thickness and colour are available upon request. This cycle is repeated three times, after which the test specimens are tested for swelling and internal bond strength. The board is CE marked and checked daily by the in-house lab. Make sure the Betonspan panel is supported correctly to prevent excessive deflection. Avoid direct contact of the edges to water, wherever possible. Freshly cut edges shall be sealed with waterproof paint. Use suitable sawing, milling and drilling tools. Betonspan is not intended for use in a service class 3 environment like e. g. a building's permanent facade. Status February 2010 Page 17 of 23

Birch plywood overlaid with solid colour, coloured transparent and clear translucent melamine films is used in interior decoration projects and furniture design. A vanguard branch of furniture designers uses this type of material in their plywood furniture, which consists basically of nothing else but plywood. Regardless of the type of furniture seating, chairs, cabinets, beds or shelves the design takes full advantage of the technical and esthetical properties of the panel product. Initially this design branch and the term plywood furniture originates from the Finnish architect and designer Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto ( ). Status February 2010 Page 18 of 23
